  1. I don't order any mods or tanks from Slowtech, only coils cotton and stuff like that, stuff I want to stock up on, and have plenty of already. I did order a LED light that has a 510 thread, it don't work on a regulated mod, but it works good on a Subvod battery same diameter too. The resistance is probably to high for a regulated mod. the mod reads no atomizer. I looked again the diameter is a little bigger than a Subvod battery, and according to my multimeter the resistance is 19 ohms.
  2. I ordered on 6/15 and they shipped 6/22 and it arrived 7/1 9 days to get here from China is not bad I guess. Being on the west coast might have shortened the time by a couple of days.
  3. I don't believe nic base was available before 2007, but pure nicotine was available. To me that means nic base needs a PMTA, but pure nicotine will not need a PMTA, it should be grandfathered in. I would much rather use nicotine diluted with VG or PG rather than use pure nicotine. I suppose I could buy pure nic and some VG and make my own base.
  4. Got the 50 1.2 coils today, they are no different than the ones I get from Sweetvapes, they are packaged in kanger boxes of 5, even have authenticity stickers on them.
  5. Some may consider doing the same as me when buying online. I have a CC that has a $500 limit on it, the limit was higher at one time, but had it lowered by talking to the bank, and explaining that I was only going to use it online. The people at the bank thought it was a good idea and lowered the limit for me.
  6. Over time the nicotine oxidizes, which turns dark. The best way to store mixed juice is in the refrigerator. There have been reports that juice kept in the freezer will last for years. As far as what heat does, some people steep their juice with heat, others can tell you about that. I hope this answers your questions.
  7. Welcome to VT, we are glad to have you join us.
  8. The biggest limiting factor is from what I read about the Vamo V5 is it won't fire below 1.5 ohms, you have to make sure you keep the resistance above that. And don't listen to the clerk at a local B&M from what I hear most of them don't know much about the hardware they sell.
  9. Good choices for a tank would be a Kanger pro tank 2 or 3, Aspire Nautilus, or a Kanger Aerotank. all of them available with adjustable airflow. The KPT 2 or 3 does not come with a adjustable airflow but a different base can be purchased that does have adjustable airflow.
  10. If you are just starting to drip, probably your best choice would be the Kanger drip box, you can buy factory coils or build your own.
  11. I have to agree Nic base is the key to DIY, everything else will still be available. I only have about 2 1/2 liters of 100mg base right now, I don't know how long it will keep in the freezer. Even the Nic base should be available for a few more years.
  12. I have a simple way of mixing 30ml bottles, I use a 30ml syringe, I cap the needle and use the syringe to measure everything. I remove the plunger hold it needle end down, and use it to measure everything, putting the Vg first, and add every thing to it, a 30ml syringe is incremented in 1ml marks, it may not be the most accurate way to do it, but it works for me. I only have 1 syringe to clean afterwards also. I also have 10ml, and 20ml syringes that I use the same way.
  13. Coils are not exactly the same length, sometimes the center pin on the mod gets pushed down, and when you change coils the new coil doesn't make good contact. I use a pin or other sharp object to pry it back up. When you do it keep your fingers away from the fire button if using a metal object, or take the battery out if possible. I have to do this sometimes once a week or so. There are some videos on the net explaining how to do it.
  14. I have never bought anything but 1 battery from a local B&M. I have heard too many stories about how incompetent they are. Take them back and get coils in your vaping range. Sometimes you will have to pull up the center pin on your mod to get a good contact.
  15. I have gotten stuff from Slowtech before that wasn't listed as authentic Kanger, and when I got it there was Kangertech stamped on it. What I think happens is the vendors for Kanger may over produce, and then have to sell the excess as not authentic.
  16. Yes they do have juice with caffeine in it, I mix my own juice and there is liquid caffeine available, but I prefer to stay away from it. One of the juices I vape regularly is a mixture of coffee and cappuccino, no caffeine though. Eventually you will settle on what you like.
  17. 2 tracking is when you drive down a road that has 2 tracks through the weeds, something people that live in the county understand very well.
  18. Most people who start with a tobacco flavor quickly switch to another flavor. There are so many to choose from that are not sweet. Box mods and subtanks can be used for MTL hits, it all depends on the resistance of coil you use. A small step up from the Evod would be a Subvod with 1.2 coils for MTL hits, lots of vapor and good flavor. 70PG/30VG would be good for someone who likes a lot of throat hit, but the way it sounds to me you would be better off with a 30PG/70VG juice. I started with a KPT2 mini and a ego battery, but now use box mods and subtanks, if you stay at it long enough you will get shinyitus and get better hardware.

    Hello

Welcome to VT, we will answer your questions to the best of our ability.
  20. The istick 40w TC must be similar to the Kanger TC, in the way it does not let you set the initial watts. Using the 120w Kanger TC with a .5 SS coil at 380f it fluctuates between 7w and 13w, but what the initial watts is I have no idea. According to the manual that came with it the initial wattage is automatically determined by the coil resistance, how the mod does that is a mystery to me. But I do know that it works very well.
  21. I seriously doubt that they will fit and work. They may thread into the base, but the top probably won't seal.
  22. The watts will vary when using TC, once the temp reaches the desired limit the watts will drop to what the coil needs to retain the temp. I use a Kanger 75 w TC mostly, and the wattage jumps all over the place when in TC. I usually vape between 360f and 380f, and the temp seems pretty accurate. If you are getting a sub box platinum get the 75w and not the 60w, the 60w is only good for Ni and Ti, the 75w is good for Ni, Ti, SS, and NiCr. I find the 75w to be a very good mod, and using a LG HG2 battery it lasts all day using TC.
  23. Going by what the pics show, the coils don't line up with the holes. Don't know if that is a common thing or maybe they are Kanger seconds. Either way I will rebuild them anyway after they don't vape anymore.
  24. Thought I might point out the cheap Kanger coils on Slowtech. I ordered them yesterday, I know some other members here like these coils. I don't know how good the quality is but in a couple of weeks I'll find out. https://www.fasttech.com/p/2122004
  25. A lot can change in 2 years, but yes after 2 years with the current regulations still in place Nic base will probably not be available. The next president could reverse the FDA rules, or Congress could do something, but not holding my breath in either case. I don't know the process for extracting nicotine from tobacco, but it probably isn't that difficult to do, probably quite dangerous, and the results would not be predictable on the purity. I read most of the FDA regulations and even the hardware will be considered a tobacco product, and Juice with or without nic would be considered a tobacco product. Anything remotely used for vaping could be considered a tobacco product. My opinion is the FDA is trying to regulate the vape industry out of existence.
