The ones I had did have air holes in the very bottom, but I guess different brands have different designs. I tried cleaning the ones I had with rubbing alcohol, and it did help for awhile, but went bad again. About the only thing you can do is get a different setup that uses a fire button instead of depending on air flow to fire it. Don't know about the one you have, but mine had a hole through the middle of the contact pin for the air to flow, that's how juice got into the electronics.

I think I know what the problem might be. Years ago I tried a few of the automatic ego type batteries, when air is drawn through the battery it activates a switch (notice the air holes in the bottom of the battery), Over time the design allows juice to leak into the battery, which causes the switch to act erratic. It happened to me, and I would guess the same thing has happened to the poster.

Vapers Could Expect To Pay More For Equipment Due To Tariffs
FXRich replied to Smoking Joe's topic in General Vape News
From what I have read on reddit, and other places there will be a 25% tariff on vape mods from China. I will not be affected by it, I currently use 9 mods in rotation and like a lot of other people here have several more mods and tanks still unopened in boxes. I make my own coils, and juice. My LG H2 batteries come from South Korea, so the price of those won't change unless they are in short supply. Maybe some company in SK might start making mods, mods are already made in the Philippines, and a few other places that have no tariffs. When a market gets hurt in one place it picks up elsewhere, supply and demand works that way. -
The only reason I can see for a mod maker to recommend using a certain brand of battery is probably the same reason Chevy recommends using a Delco battery and Ford recommends using a Motorcraft, there is probably some kind of Corporate connection. I use mostly Kanger mods, and the instructions say to use a suitable 18650 30A battery, I use LG HG2 batteries that are rated at 20A, continuous. Kanger doesn't say 30A continuous or pulse. (I haven't blown myself up yet) The brand of battery doesn't matter as much as the quality of the battery, Samsung, LG, and Sony all make quality batteries.
-
You didn't say what kind of mods they are. Most mods need to be turned on, usually by 3 to 5 fast presses on the power button depending on who made the mod. I would guess they don't work because they aren't turned on. It's also possible the battery is upside down, try turning the battery around.

Stick prince v12 smok burning coils daily
FXRich replied to Skye*Fla's topic in General Vaping Discussion
I have read a few reviews on that tank, and the the only complaint seems to be the price of the coils, and the fact that they don't last very long. You could switch to a different tank that uses cheaper coils that last longer, everybody here seems to have a different choice as far as tanks go. Personally I prefer the Subtank mini, but others prefer other tanks. The Subtank mini only holds 4.5 ml compared to what you have that holds 8ml, but that may mean you won't ruin as much juice when you burn a coil. I mostly use a RBA but have used factory coils that cost about $3 each depending on where you buy them (I have bought them as cheap as .85 each when buying them in bulk), and I have had them last a week or more. You will probably not get as much vapor as you get with the Smok tank, but that also is a matter of choice to most people. -

I don't know if it would interest you or not, but there is a RBA available for that tank. I use RBAs and have not purchased a coil for several years. A coil in a RBA can be replaced for pennies, but they can be a PITA to replace. -
Vanilla Flavoring Syrup For Vaping?
FXRich replied to taylor0004's topic in General eLiquid Discussion
The sugar will likely crystallize when heated, Tam is right you could just use vanilla extract, or any other flavor extract for baking and you will probably would be fine. Some of the flavoring you can get at the grocery store contains a PG base, and probably isn't much different than flavors designed for vaping, but most of it has a alcohol/ water base, but use at your own risk. You could just go online to wizard labs or heartland vapes, and for under $50.00 get enough supplies to last you a year or more, depending on how much you vape. -
Another setup that I use sometimes, but not very often is a KPT2 with a 1.5 coil on a subvod battery. I don't get as much vapor as a subtank mini, but get enough and using a 1.5 coil I get decent battery life. I seem to be going backwards instead of trying new things.

For the past year or so I have been using the nano RBAs from fasttech, they are the same design as the original subtank mini RBA, I had to modify them a little bit by making the juice slots a little bigger. If you don't use more than 60% VG they work pretty good, I use them with a Subvod battery, and battery life isn't very long, but I can't expect a 1300 mah battery to last as long as a 3000 mah LG battery. I still mostly use the larger mods with a subtank mini, but like using the smaller setup when I'm not gone for very long or I take 2 of them with me. (the car has a USB port in the dash) and I ordered extra subvod batteries so I can charge one while using the other one.

You didn't mention what you vape, if you use a refillable tank your supplier may have changed the juice that you use, you may have a allergy to some chemicals that are used for flavoring. You could try a different supplier or maybe just a different flavor. Or it may have nothing to do with vaping.

Can't help if we don't know the problem.

Did she get the disposable, or the kind with the rechargeable battery? I normally don't put much faith in what I read on the net, but you might want to take a look at this https://ecig-reviews.net/reviews/njoy/ If she wants to quit smoking she should spend a little more money and get a good refillable setup then she will have more flavor options. Just my opinion.

PG is a synthetic compound, anyone that says their PG is organic is not being truthful.

Smok Pen 22 Blinking 4 Times And Not Working.
FXRich replied to Lokii00's topic in Troubleshooting & Technical Issues
I read the specs on your setup, and it uses a 510 connection between the tank and battery (doesn't look like it in pic) Its possible you may have to use a toothpick or something to raise the center pin on the battery. To me it sounds like a connection problem. -
My itaste 134 doesn't work.
FXRich replied to Angelnahh's topic in Troubleshooting & Technical Issues
Did you charge the battery? New batteries sometimes don't come with a full charge. If the battery is charged you got a bad mod. -
I mix a juice for a friend, he likes a butterscotch menthol mix, we finally settled on 3% menthol, which he thinks is perfect for him. Some people use mint instead of menthol, everyone is different and like different things.

I'll put my opinion in too, looks to me your coils may be too large, and may cause a short.
-
A little while ago I had a bottle for my dripbox go bad, I guess they only can be squeezed so many times before they crack, luckily the mod comes with 2 bottles. A few months ago I ordered some wire from Slow tech, and decided to add a 5 pack of Kanger squonk bottles for $3 or something like that, glad I did that. If you buy anything from Slow tech maybe you should do the same.

I use a single .7 SS316l coil, run it between 360f - 380f, was using dual coils that came in at .35 but found that a single coil worked better for me.

Its A 2000 Harley FXDX I picked up awhile back, and I took the picture at a local reservoir not far from where I live. Its nice to not have a lot of chrome to polish. I mix my own juice and call that flavor Peanut Butter Cup. When I first started vaping I thought I'd never have a dripper, I didn't like the idea of pulling the top off and re dripping every few minutes, but after getting a Squonk box I changed my mind about dripping. I pretty much only drip when I watch TV or when on the computer, but have dripped and drove, which is easy to do when you squonk.
-
I prefer a regulated mod, but that's a personal choice for me, and we all have to make our own choice. As far as juice goes, if you use a dripper you should go with a mix that is at least 70% VG if not higher (just personal opinion again). I also use a peanut butter flavor, but mix it with Chocolate, and a little French Vanilla, its a 2mg mix. I use a Kanger 160w dripbox, which is a regulated mod, that I use in TC mode, and am happy with that.

10 watts do t heat the coil hardly at all. And 30w heats it enough to get vape. After reading a few reviews on your tank I found the reviews to say that you will get a cooler vape and less vapor if you use the 1.2 coil compared to the .5 or .25 coils, I don't know what gauge wire your coils have in them so I can only guess what they are capable of. Another problem might be the juice is too thick and not wicking right, or the cotton is packed too tight. If the juice is too thick you could try adding a few drops of distilled water to your tank to thin the juice, if the cotton is too tight you could try sticking a pin through the cotton, and that sometimes works. Other than that maybe you got some bad coils.

Einstein's theory comes to mind, the more mass you have the more energy you need to heat it.
-
I got 11 watts, but you have to consider its only about 42 mm of wire compared to 200 mm of wire for a 1.2 coil made of the same wire. Takes more power to heat 200 mm of wire than what it takes to heat 42 mm. You would be better off using 24g 316L for a .25 coil.
