  1. Welcome back, I wondered a few times what happened to you. I thought maybe your job kept you too busy, Hope you get back to 100% soon.
  2. You did not mention what kind of tank you are using, I have noticed with some tanks if the airflow isn't opened far enough, you can cause the coil to get flooded, when you draw on it there is a vacuum created, and it draws air past the coil, or it could draw more juice into the coil, depending on how much air is available, and how hard you draw on it. It could be you over primed it, and need to follow the advice above, or maybe you need to open the airflow, if the tank has adjustable airflow.
  3. I use 2 Subvods, from my own personal experience they work very well with the 1.2 OCC horizontal coils. I do rebuild them with 30g SS and get 1.0 - 1.1 coils, I have tried 28g SS and get .7 - .8 coils, but with the lower resistance the tanks get hot when chain vaping. I have found that when I use cotton to wick them, I get a few dry hits. Rayon wicks seem to work much better in them with no dry hits even when chain vaping. I do use a 1/8 round jewelers file to make the holes a little bigger, and that helps too. This is just my opinion, and may not work for other people, but it works for me.
  4. I think it might be old technology that can handle more watts, which makes it new technology in a way. I read a few reviews on the dripbox 60w, the biggest complaint was battery life, also if you tighten the battery cover too tight it may autofire, which is not good. Other than the 2 things I mentioned people seem to like them.
  5. Some sites that sell them say they are a constant 60w, but other sites say they are regulated to 3.7 volts, a .2 coil at 60w outputs about 3.4 volts, can't get much info from Kanger. Most reviews I have read on them say as the battery drops in voltage the vape gets less. The 160w Dripbox is fully adjustable and also does TC, that would be my choice.
  6. I hate to disagree with Jason, but the way I understand it the dripbox operates at battery voltage, which will give you slightly longer battery life if you use a .5 coil instead of a .2 coil, but I may be wrong again.
  7. Any regulated mod will turn itself off before blowing up, the mods that blow up are mech mods with no safety features. Both of the mods you mentioned are regulated, so you should not blow your face off. I have 2 thingys that reads ohms, neither one works right, I also use mods to check ohms. This is probably the best coil building site, check it out.http://www.steam-engine.org/coil.asp
  8. I don't have a Nebox, but when I get a 9.99 reading it means I have to pull the center pin on the mod up or there is something wrong with the coil. I have noticed on the Kanger mods if there is only a 0.01 ohm difference between the old coil and the new coil it will not ask if its a new coil, so what I have got in the habit of doing is before I put on the tank, I hold the fire button until it flashes 9.99, then it will ask if its a new coil. basically what I do is clear the old reading.
  9. When I was a kid I had a hard time waiting for Christmas, but now I have lots of patience, not in a hurry, but when I get something in my vape mail that I don't have, well that's another story.
  10. Why nobody has mentioned steam engine to you before now is a mystery, I use it all the time, mostly I use the wire wizard section, but have used the other parts also. Maybe someday they will make a downloadable version where you won't have to get on the net.
  11. Reminds me of a couple of weeks ago, got a Kanger 160w TC mod, told myself I wasn't going to open it, and save it for the future, I lied to myself, and started using it within a day. Now I'm thinking about ordering another one to put away.
  12. I bet he's like a kid at Christmas, he won't resist much longer.
  13. I think that's true, probably only applies to sales, I got the info off reddit, and the info was from European people. They were talking about people in the States sending stuff to them.
  14. I read a few reviews on the Protank 4, some said you can use the OCC coils, I don't think I would like the child lock fill, or the non replaceable glass. Earthling is going to have to open it and let us know for sure if the OCC coils will fit. The RBA that comes with it is a dual coil build, but the subtank mini RBA will probably fit too.
  15. I just looked up vaping laws in France, I guess the EU sets the rules, No tanks over 2ml, and no bottles of juice over 10ml, and each ml of juice is taxed the same as a pack of smokes. No wonder Britain is leaving the EU.
  16. Eventually you will figure out the best build for you, we all have gone through a learning curve.
  17. I have read that Europe is limiting tank size to 2ml now, so if you take a tank bigger than 2ml you might get mugged for your tank.
  18. I still have some of the old kanger evod batteries too, and sometimes still use them with a KPT 2, or a t3. They fit in my pocket very well.
  19. I vote Subvod, I have 2 of them and use the 1.2 horizontal coils in them. The battery lasts about 1 tank of juice. They work great when I ride my bike.
  20. The protank 4 uses cl coils, which have a different base than the OCC coils, at least that's the impression I get from looking at pics on sweetvapes. After looking again I guess they can use the same coils, I was wrong again.
  21. I got a 15 pack of glass from Slowtech, some of the glass has minor flaws in it, but they still work fine. The glass for the subtank mini is 30mm long, the glass for the toptank is 28mm long, the diameter is the same. they won't interchange.
  22. The only way you could get .28 ohms out of that coil built with 28g is if the coils are fused together.
  23. You did a good job of making that coil, but one thing does bother me about it, I see 6 wraps, 6wraps of 28g Nichrome around 3mm should give you about 1.0 ohms not .28 ohms, which is what you should get using 22g Nichrome, you may have gotten a roll of wire that was mislabeled.
  24. Personally I don't go below .5, sometimes I get .49 or .48 but that's expected. I have tried dual coils, but don't see a advantage to it, but that's just me. Something doesn't sound right, 9 wraps of 28g nichrome80 around 2mm should give about 1 ohm per coil, with 2 coils she should get a total of .5 ohms. and that's on the low side since 3mm id is preferable.
