  1. If I remember right you said your brother is a machinist, tooling such as end mills, small boring bars, and similar items come in tubes with plastic caps on the ends. They make very good drip tip covers. Talk to your brother about getting some for you, normally they get thrown away. I use them for drip tip covers.
  2. Some of the flavors I use contain as much as 45% alcohol. sounds like a lot but if you leave the bottle open for a few hours in a warm place most of the alcohol will evaporate.
  3. This Christmas we should decorate the trees with politicians, the whole country would get a Christmas present that way.
  4. Sometimes a product can go through a lot of wholesalers, before it gets to the retailer, which would explain unknown source. The Kanger products I got from VapeNW had authenticity stickers on them, and I did check a few of them and they were authentic. Fast Tech states on their website that authenticity stickers are removed before shipping. (I can't remember the reason that they stated) The rest I have never ordered from so don't know about them.
  5. Found this recipe on the net for Cracker Jack, might be worth a try, recipe didn't say what brand of flavors. 10% Popcorn 8% Caramel 6% Peanut Butter 4% Hazelnut 2% Bavarian Cream Comes out to 30% a little high for my taste.
  6. There aren't very many tanks that can run 80+VG, and the ones that can are usually spendy. I don't have a tank that can run Atlantis coils, but from what I hear they can't run 80% VG. If you want to run 80+VG you may have to get a dripper. they will run 100% VG. Your coils are probably burning up quick because your juice is too thick, and can't wick properly.
  7. To the best of my knowledge the top tank only comes in one size, but as you say they sneak new stuff in all the time.
  8. My dumb phone takes really bad close up pics, and don't have a good camera for taking pics that close. VT store has some pretty good pics though. https://www.vaportalk.com/us/product/kanger-dripbox-160-starter-kit/
  9. You could try this http://flavorwest.com/index.php/water-soluble-flavoring/buttered-popcorn.html But it contains Triacetin, not recommended.
  10. Basically the tank is a tube, it can be reversed, kind of hard to explain unless you have a dripbox. The RDA is designed to go with the mod, it feeds juice to the coils by squeezing the bottle, there are some RDAs that will work, just have to find one that will work with the mod. Or I could machine a different tank.
  11. Bebop is 100% right on the Subtank mini, and the Top tank mini, the tank itself is shorter on the toptank, so the chimney would be shorter. Don't know about the top fill nano chimney being much shorter than the original nano, unless you are referring to the 1.8ml top fill nano. I have both the original nano, and the 3.2ml top fill nano, and measuring from the top of the coil to the top of the tank there isn't much if any difference. The base on the original nano is about 1/8 inch taller than the top fill nano base. I don't have any of the 1.8ml nano tanks but my guess is they are shorter.
  12. I have been using a 160w dripbox for a day and a half now, the dual battery setup has lasted 2 7ml tanks of juice. The mod itself works well. I have been using TC because I'm not used to dripping, and didn't want to burn the cotton when the wicks went dry, which has happened more than I would like to mention. The mod itself is about the same size, and shape as the RX200, it has a hinged battery door, and a magnetic bottle cover, they both work well. The kit comes with what they call a velocity style build deck, 2 square posts with 2 holes in each post, besides a regular dripbox coil which is also very easy to rebuild. The only problem I have found is the air inlet is too high on the tank (near the top of the tank) which causes the tank to get very hot. I have temporarily solved this design flaw by turning the tank over so the air inlets are on the bottom, and it works much better, and runs cooler. When I turn the tank over I can't push it down all the way because if I do the air will be blocked, I also lose air adjustment when turning the tank over, but I run it with the air open all the way anyway, so I really don't lose anything. As far as performance goes I get bigger clouds, and better flavor compared to the Subtank minis I normally use. Currently I'm using 2 8 wraps around 3mm 28g 316L coils, that come out at .42 ohms total. Works for me. The drip tip has a 11mm bore all the way through so airflow is not a problem. Maybe Chris can get more of the Velocity style build decks from Kanger, I know I want at least 2 more.
  13. I have tried a lot of different builds using the Subtank mini RBA, the one that works the best for me is a SS 316L .5 build. 5 wraps around 3mm with 28g wire. Other people probably prefer something else, but everybody is different with different tastes.
  14. Have you tried pulling the center pin on the battery up? sometimes that works.
  15. I don't think I have the lung capacity to produce clouds like that, so not even going to try. After 50 years of smoking my lung capacity has gone way down.
  16. I machined some drip tips on my CNC, also plan to machine a new top for my Dripbox in the near future. I guess I better keep an eye out for the FDA vape police.
  17. FDA regs also cover vape software, I noticed that when reading through the regs. I suppose that also covers firmware updates. FDA regs also cover vape software, I noticed that when reading through the regs. I suppose that also covers firmware updates.
  18. The only problem I'm having with it so far is the airflow. It has more than enough airflow, but in my opinion its too high, the air doesn't flow across the coils like I would prefer it to. I have fixed the problem by putting the cap on upside down, I get a cooler vape and bigger clouds that way, and the cap doesn't get as hot. The only downside is if I push the cap down all the way it restricts the air, so I keep it up a bit.
  19. All the batteries I receive I have to charge. I have never received a fully charged battery.
  20. I have a couple of Subvods, depending on the juice the coils can last a couple of weeks sometimes. the darker the juice the shorter the coil life, also sweeter juices can gunk up a coil pretty fast. One flavor I vape is a coffee flavor, and I usually only get 2 tanks max on a coil.
  21. I can't remember if it was you or someone else that has the 60w dripbox, but my question is did it come with a Velocity style RBA, 2 square posts with 2 holes in each post, this one did, and its really easy to build on.
  22. What's face blotting papers? I have heard about blondes using white out on computer screens. I have used cellucotton from Sally's Beauty supply for wicking, and it works pretty good too.
  23. I hope so too, or it will become a PIF item. So far I have removed the coils in the spare base, and replaced them with dual SS 316 coils, tried to hit .3 but got .33 not a big difference. The mod is shaped like the RX200, but only 2 batteries instead of 3, same dimensions too. Waiting for the batteries to charge now. It came with a extra bottle which will come in handy.
