    Mega Happy Dance!

I don't have one now but been thinking about a geekvape avocado RTA, easy to build and have seen good reviews.

    Mega Happy Dance!

That's the reason I like the velocity style build decks, the screw head doesn't hold the wire, and the wire doesn't move when tightening the screw.
  3. Getting back to the original post, I found these 2 things on the net that might interest people here on VT https://www.vapes.com/blogs/news/president-elect-trump-has-a-suggestion-website-and-vapers-are-flooding-it-with-ideas http://www.washingtonexaminer.com/trump-urged-to-snuff-out-fda-rules-threatening-15000-e-cig-makers/article/2609451 After I posted this I realize I should have posted it under vaping & fda if someone wants to move it I would appreciate it.
  4. A single battery mod should handle either the .2 or the .4 ohm coils, but the TC80w would handle it better than the TC40w in my opinion. I don't use high wattage, about 40w max, but the dual battery mods supply longer battery life when compared to the single battery mods. The .4 cleito coil is rated 40 - 60 watts, and the .2 is rated for 55 - 70 watts also there is a .15 coil rated at 120w, but don't know if it will fit in a standard cleito, or if it just fits the 120w cleito. For the 120w coil you will need a dual battery mod.
  5. Most isticks will fire down to .1 ohms, some even lower using TC. Could be a short in the coil. Coils that come with tanks aren't the best, some people won't even use them. Try a different coil.
  6. My guess would be your coil resistance is too low for the mod you are using, try a higher resistance coil. You didn't say what eleaf mod you are using or the resistance of the coil, if you were more specific we could help more.
  7. Some people do get a wet T-shirt taste from cotton I have seen it posted on other sites. Personally I have moved from cotton to Rayon, and get a cleaner taste, but that's me and other people might not get the same results. Rayon (cellucotton) can be bought from Sally's beauty supply, that's where I got mine from. I got 500 feet for about $14, pretty much a lifetime supply. When I use it I have to split it so I will get 1000 feet instead of 500 feet. Just my opinion.
  8. Your coil should not get red hot while vaping, apparently you are using a mech mod because a regulated mod has a cut off time which only allows the mod to put out voltage for a certain amount of time, usually 8 - 10 seconds. Do yourself a favor and get a regulated mod, not only will it give you a better vaping experience but will also be much safer.
  9. The biggest retailers in flavors are Wizard labs, and Heartland vapes. The reason I say they are the largest dealers is because they handle many different brands of flavors. As to the particular flavor you want to mix, I have never tried that flavor, and wouldn't know which flavors are in it.
  10. To the best of my knowledge there has been no long term studies concerning vaping. Flavors can have artificial flavoring in them, depending on the maker. The British equivalent of our AMA say vaping is 95% safer than smoking. You can read opinions on the internet about vaping, some of the so called facts have been proven wrong. From what I hear some diabetics have problems with vaping because it raises their blood sugar, but other than that it depends on the persons system as to how they handle it.
  11. Where I live a lot of people have CCW, it varies in Oregon depending on what county you live in, in the county I live in if you pass a background check, and know which end the bullet comes out of, and go to their class you can get a permit. But most people don't bother with it because open carry is legal here. But its a different story in Portland, and other populated areas in the state where open carry is not legal. Its very common here to see a pickup with a rifle in a rack in the back window. Sometimes you even see a handgun on the dash, but not very often.
  12. In my opinion which isn't right most of the time, it has to do with coil, and airflow, airflow across the coil is very important. The tank itself is just something to hold the juice, of course chimney length probably is a factor too. Whether the coil is horizontal or vertical could be a factor too. Wicking could be a factor too, personally I think Rayon gives a better flavor than cotton, but that's just my opinion too.
  13. If I understand right you are using a 30PG/70VG base, if that is the case then when you add flavor which is PG based with no VG at all in it you increase the PG ratio. When you add 20% flavor to a 30PG/70VG base you will end up with about a 44PG/56VG mix. To get max VG you need to start with a 100% VG base, then when you add 20% flavor you will end up with a 20PG/80VG mix.
  14. If we all adults here, where's the adult entertainment sub forum?
  15. I have a 850 Norton Commando, and the Amal carbs fit nicely, and clean up really well. When cleaning car parts I use a solvent instead of water, but no heat. I have also used it to clean Harley parts. With the SS tank it is easy to switch between solvent and water.
  16. Its called preparing for the vapololypse (a time when vape supplies are no longer available unless you get them from a bootlegger)
  17. The heater does make a difference. The one I have will hold 2 liters, I originally got it to clean car parts like spark plugs and injectors. Its mostly Stainless steel, and will keep the water temp at about 180f. I have found it will clean the crud off a coil without dry burning. I don't use it much for steeping because it also removes labels.
  18. I use a ultrasound cleaner to clean my coils, it works very well. I have also used it to steep juice. The big difference between those cleaners and mine is the one I have holds about 1/2 gal of water, and has a heater. I usually wait until I have 10 - 15 coils to clean before I use it.
  19. How much flavor depends on the flavor, some flavors need a higher % of flavor, some need less. My normal flavor percentage is 20%, but with a coffee flavor I only add 5%, and cinnamon I usually only add 3% at the most. The PG/VG ratio depends on what you use it in, in my subtank minis I use 30PG/70VG in my dripper I use 20PG/80VG.
  20. With the right equipment coil building is quite easy, you will need. 1 Wire (kanthal, Nichrome, SS316, depending on your preference). 2 Coil winding tool (I use a Coil Master) 3 Accurate ohm meter 4 Cotton 5 Lots of patience Making your own coils isn't for everybody, there is a learning curve, After the initial investment you will save money. It has turned into a hobby for me, but I'm semi retired so I have spare time. The most important thing is safety, don't make coils that have too low of a resistance. A lot of people think the lower the resistance the bigger the cloud, which is true to a point, but if the resistance is too low the only cloud you will get is the cloud your battery makes when it blows up. Regulated mods will shut down if the resistance is too low, so it would be best to use a regulated mod, the mods you mentioned I believe are regulated.
  21. I use subtank minis most of the time, and the only time the glass broke is when I dropped it on a concrete floor. Maybe you got a tank with flawed glass, or maybe a retailer sold you a clone, there are subtank mini clones available. The box is almost identical to the authentic.
  22. Different tanks for different flavors works for me, no cross contamination that way.
  23. The reason tanks aren't made in US is because of cost. The average wage for a CNC operator in US is about $20 per hour, don't know what the cost is in China, but I'm guessing about $2 per hour is probably top wage there. As far as price goes US made products can't compete with Chinese made stuff. I have the machinery to produce a limited production sub ohm tank, but not the massive amount of coils that would be needed. Another reason I don't want to attempt to produce a tank is because of the FDA regs, and other problems with the regs from other government agencies. A lot of people don't know what a employee actually costs, if someone gets $20 per hour, it costs the company $30 - $40 per hour, depending on the benefits, and state where located. Bottom line is US manufacturers can't make a tank that competes with the Chinese without loosing money.
  24. I use the square horizontal OCC coils in the Nanos that I have, and they work very well. The top tank Nano comes with the round coils, and the Subtank Nanos that I have came with the square coils. From what I have heard Kanger has quit making the square coils. I prefer the square horizontal coils because they are easy to rebuild, and rebuilding them saves a lot of $$, the round vertical coils are more difficult to rebuild.
