  1. Did you use the same gauge outer as the inners on that coil?
  2. It's like @FXRich said...just because you have a car that'll go 150 mph doesn't mean you have to drive it 150 mph. The same holds true for mods and tanks that go well over 100 watts. Just because a mod will fire down to .01 Ω doesn't mean you have to run a .01 Ω coil. Just because a mod will go up to 200 or 300 watts doesn't mean you have to use that mod's full potential, which is ultimately the point - potential. I like the fact that I can run 120 to 150 watts with my Cloud Beasts and I like the fact that I'll be able to push a King Beast up over 250 watts if I want to cloud up my mancave. At the same time, I like the fact that I can build a 1.8 Ω coil in my LEMO or my Kayfun and run it in the neighborhood of 15-20 watts on the exact same mod if I just want to chill and do some MTL vaping. Options and potential. That's the point of being able to run a mod over 200 watts.
  3. I use anything from .1 to .6. It all depends on which tank or RDA, the device and the flavor vs. vapor experience I'm going for.
  4. As I understand it, you want a tank that runs factory coils specifically so you don't have to carry building supplies. That rules out RTA's, so I would say try the Kanger Subtank mini as @Earthling789and @FXRichsuggested or try the Baby Beast. The Baby Beast has much more flavor than the Cloud Beast, but it'll require more frequent fills. The design makes it quick to fill, though, so it isn't inconvenient. An extra factory coil or two for just in case reasons and no need to take build supplies with you.
  5. Occasional spitback of un-vaporized e-liquid in any tank isn't uncommon. It isn't something that is unique to kanger products. Several things could be contributing to it, though. It could be due to improper wicking of your coil; improper filling of the tank; running a coil that is rated for higher wattage than what you are using (this is a prime suspect where un-vaporized e-liquid is concerned). There are many things that could be causing this.
  6. Which specific coil are you using, what device are you using it on and what settings are you using on your device? I have had multiple baby beasts in rotation practically since they were released, have used them on multiple devices and with multiple coils and the only time I have had a burnt taste was 100% operator error when I accidentally fired my mod without having any liquid in with a brand new coil. In other words, a little more than "I am getting a burnt taste, please help" is needed. We are more than happy to help, but we need to know what you're working with so we can provide accurate help.
  7. The Big Baby Beast is just a larger version of the Baby Beast (5ml on the Big Baby vs 3ml on the Baby). They use the same coils and pretty much vape the same way, though. If you like the higher wattage because of the vapor production, stick with the Cloud Beast (and I would even recommend looking into the T10 coils for it, as they fire up to 300w with SMOK's purported "best" range being 130-190w). If you want flavor, then in my opinion the Baby Beast/Big Baby Beast with the Baby T8 coils is the way to go when it comes to this particular line of tanks.
  8. You can send me yours. I have one recently opened and two more fresh bottles in my freezer right now. Love Jäegermeister...so much so that I used to have a GSD named Jäegermeister, (Jäeger for short). The name definitely fit, as he was a master at hunting gophers, possum, snakes and other undesirable critters around the house.
  9. Long story short and to reiterate to the OP what @Bebop already said... You shouldn't be letting your coil(s) get red hot after you have wicked them. Re-wick. Also to the OP, double check your coil resistance and the wire type you used and the gauge you used, because @j.d.p.84 has a valid point about the wraps. If you are indeed using Nichrome, you would need almost 20 wraps to hit .6 ohms (using a single coil) or 40 wraps each of using a dual coil build.
  10. Tom Slick Super Chicken George of the Jungle Fractured Fairy Tales Rocky and Bullwinkle Dudley Do Right and the one @Bebopteased us with...Milton the Monster Yes, the list does go on.
  11. The MutationX v4 is going to be similar to the v2. The v4 is a 4 post deck with that is about the same size as the v2 and has a similar juice well. It's a workhorse, but I prefer my new MutationX v5, which also has a velocity style deck similar to the Tsunami @Waltposted.
  12. I am of the same mindset as @j.d.p.84. I prefer authentics because I'm more interested in supporting the people who actually develop the products. That being said, what @Earthling789 said is also true. There are some very good companies out there who pump out cloned products that are actually better than the authentic ones. Also, a high priced "authentic" does not necessarily mean high quality. My authentic $70 BeyondVape Arthas 18650 blows my authentic $275 Hyon Ruga VIP out of the water as far as performance. One other thing to consider...many "clones" are actually licensed and produced with 100% support from the "authentic" developer, so do your research and make the decision for yourself.
  13. The airflow with the quad coils is quite a bit higher than with the octo coil. You can still get amazing flavor with them, though. Try closing down the airflow on the tank itself. Try with the airflow ring in various positions and take "dry hits" (just inhale without firing the mod) until you have the airflow set to how you like it. Restricting the airflow a bit with the quad coils should (keyword "should") enhance the flavor you are getting with that tank.
  14. While many manufacturers do have coils that are cross compatible, I haven't seen any Kanger coils that fit other tanks or any other brands of coils that fit Kanger tanks. If there is a reason you don't like the Kanger coils, then you might want to try using a different tank entirely. Otherwise, shop around. Kanger coils are probably some of the lowest priced factory coils available.
  15. Ahhh...the third one is penguin baseball? I was hoping for midget bowling. (No offense to any midgets...or bowlers)
  16. On the flip side, using 22g with more wraps to get to the same resistance provides for more surface area on the coil(s) which in turn allows for more liquid to be vaporized. That can lead to more vapor and flavor, or it can be a complete disaster all the way around. It's all about experimentation and finding your personal preference(s) though.
  17. to me!!! Today marks 2 years since I purchased my first vape kit and gave up the analogs. It was a belated birthday gift to myself that I have come to view as a "re-birth day". Don't normally like to toot my own horn or pat myself on the back, but today truly is a milestone for me.
  18. Got my Mutation X v5 from the VT store. I was excited and neglected to take pics before breaking it out and building on it. Ridiculously easy to build on. Basic dual coil build. 22ga 316L SS at .15Ω. Already wicked. Sitting on one of my Sigelei Fuchai 213's. Vaping @570 degrees. Airflow for DAYS!! Love it!
  19. The Atlantis V2 and Triton coils are compatible and I found a couple of sites with the Mini Super Tank coils in stock.
  20. Tell us more about that GX350. I'm thinking about picking one up as a birthday (and vape-a-versary) gift to myself. Sent from my heart using the Vapor Talk App. OK...OK...I'm kidding. I have no heart. But I did use the Vapor Talk Mobile App.
  21. Try to contact vapenw. According to their website the kit is in stock. Correction: The site says "in stock" until you select a color option. In any event, it looks like it has already been released, as other sites have it in stock (including still saying it stock after making a color selection.)
  22. Still one of my main "go to" dual coil builds: Twisted 316L SS helixed with 32g SS. Measures out right at .15 ohms. This build is in my Twisted Messes V2.
  23. Geez @Walt...are you mixing 5 gallons at a time?
