Shhhh...don't tell anybody, but I stole that line about a Dunkin Donuts across the street from Dunkin Donuts from a Lewis Black routine where he talks about...what else?...Starbucks across the street from Starbucks
-
I was just in Chicago last month on a work related trip. I only saw one White Castle while I was there, but I wasn't actively looking for them either. Dunkin Donuts, on the other hand, seemed to be on every street corner. I could swear I walked out of a Dunkin Donuts, looked across the street and saw another Dunkin Donuts at one point.

Suppliers in non-supplier forums
Adversarious1 replied to Adversarious1's topic in The Vape Lounge - Off Topic Chat
Thanks for the clarification Christopher. I certainly have no problem with the suppliers. In fact, I check out the supplier forums frequently in an effort to stay up on what new gadgets will be coming out. I may be in the minority, but I'm also a little OCD. . It was bugging me to see it when I knew I had seen a rule against it somewhere...lol. -
Suppliers in non-supplier forums
Adversarious1 replied to Adversarious1's topic in The Vape Lounge - Off Topic Chat
I think in this situation it may be because the suppliers who are posting probably haven't paid for the right to advertise in the "supplier classified" section, so they are finding ways around it. DOH! Why didn't I think of the "Report Post" link? And to reiterate, you are definitely included in those I was referring to Comp. I happen to think you walk that fine line between "business" and "pleasure" rather professionally. -
Suppliers in non-supplier forums
Adversarious1 replied to Adversarious1's topic in The Vape Lounge - Off Topic Chat
I'm not referring to e-liquids, per se. I'm referring to any unsolicited "try this new gadget" or "we sell this item which will work for you" posts when the general topic is related to something entirely different or they are starting their own topic to advertise an item. There is a very specific set of guidelines for suppliers that states they are supposed to post their items for sale in the "Supplier Classified" area or in their own private sub-forum. -
I figured I'd throw out the first "serious" question. Is anybody else bothered by "e-cig suppliers" who post in general topic areas as opposed to the supplier specific areas? I realize I can block those users, but I do actually look at the supplier forums on occasion and it's entirely possible one of them could post something I might be interested in. Maybe it's just me. I run a forum for a scale modeling club I belong to and we occasionally get vendors "spamming" our boards in spite of our rules that clearly say the posts will be removed, accounts will be suspended and their ip address blocked. That's exactly how I see it, by the way...unsolicited spam. For the record, I'm not referring to Compenstine. He is a class act and keeps his company specific posts in the appropriate areas or when it is appropriate to post related information as an answer to a user question.

BOOM! Drop the mike, Jeff. You win, hand's down.

Too early to tell, honestly. I know who I definitely won't be voting for. At present, I'm interested in what Chris Christie has to say, though.

Most of the time I have water or beer while I vape, but there are a couple of flavors I like with very specific drinks. My ADV, which is a lemon & menthol blend from a local B&M goes really well with a drink I like to call a "Tennessee Twister" - Monster Rehab Tea & Lemonade flavor with a shot of Jack Daniels. Then there is PBFB from Fadora. For my taste buds, that pairs surprisingly well with a nice, cold Guinness (or just about any other stout).

Congrats on the 6 weeks so far. Those weeks start to really add up and before you know it, it will be 6 months. For me, my first drop in nicotine level wasn't necessarily a choice. I started at 18mg and was I vaping a single flavor. I was running low on that particular flavor and needed to get some more. The particular flavor I wanted was out of stock in 18mg, so I stepped down to 12mg. This was early on in my vaping journey and I simply didn't have time to sit around and test multiple flavors to see if there was something else I liked. As it turned out, the only difference I noticed was a slight increase in consumption to make up for the lower nicotine level for the first two to three days. No mood swings. My other drops in nic levels have been more related to changes in equipment. When I started using sub-ohm tanks and RDA's with sub-ohm builds on a regulated device I was fortunate enough to have paid attention to various posts here on Vapor Talk. I knew ahead of time the 12mg I was vaping at 1.8 ohms was likely going to be way too strong at .7 ohms or lower, so I dropped to 6mg and I didn't have any issues with it. I am still at 6mg in my tanks, but I have stepped down to 3mg on my RDA's, whether I'm using a regulated box mod or a mech mod. My suggested timeline for you is whatever you decide is best for you. If vaping at 12mg for 30 days then tapering down to 9mg has worked, then perhaps tapering to 6mg at the end of the second 30 day period is a good idea. If you think you need a little more time, then go a couple of extra weeks. The important part is staying away from the analogs

Website Chat feature
Adversarious1 replied to Adversarious1's topic in The Vape Lounge - Off Topic Chat
Actually, it looks like both features exist. On the bottom right side of my browser, I see "Chat Now", which appears to be one on one. On the bottom left, I see "Live Vape Hangouts", which has a couple of chat "rooms". -
I just decided the new website chat feature is pretty darn cool. I was minding my own business, catching up on some topics and commenting on a couple of others when...ding...a chat window popped up with a question from a VT visitor. I'm pretty sure I was able to help the person out with his/her question and it possibly cut down on what would likely have been a newly created topic on a subject that has been covered multiple times. Kudos for the Chat.

ATT Newbies & Vets Alike - Sub Forum Requests
Adversarious1 replied to Christopher's topic in General Vaping Discussion
I like those ideas too. Well, I can't necessarily say I like the "420" idea...definitely not my thing, but I can understand the logic behind the suggestion. Maybe a whole area related to "non-vaping" topics where bcarter's ideas could all be incorporated. I have seen several "non-vape" topics in what could otherwise be considered vaping sub-forums. An "other" area would give us a clearer avenue of where to post those topics without hijacking a vaping sub-forum. If a non-vape related forum/sub-forums were to be created, I would also suggest a "Hobbies" sub-forum and an "Entertainment" sub-forum (to discuss music, movies and TV).- 19 replies

I have a desk job, but that desk job is in law enforcement. I can be be deployed in an emergency situation at any given moment. The last thing I want is to be stuck on some detail and have batteries die, a device break or run out of liquid.

ATT Newbies & Vets Alike - Sub Forum Requests
Adversarious1 replied to Christopher's topic in General Vaping Discussion
Initially I was thinking two separate forums because they are two different, yet intertwined things. Case in point - California SB 140, which I'm sure you're up to speed on, is a legislative bill as opposed to a ballot proposition. The voters have no rights. This is where "advocacy" comes into play. If it were a proposition, there would be very deliberate "for" and "against" campaigning. Ultimately, I think a renamed "Campaigning/Advocacy" sub-forum would suffice. But you're the boss- 19 replies

Don't feel bad cany. I don't necessarily carry that much liquid with me every day, but I do carry both of my regulated box mods, at least full 3 tanks, one mech mod, 2 RDA's, at least 4 spare fully charged batteries and at least 3 bottles of liquid with me to and from work every day. I also keep a couple of bottles of liquid, a spare charger, kanthal, tools and cotton in one of my desk drawers at work

Count me in with those in favor of getting their caffeine through coffee. My daily work routine consists of me arriving at work anywhere between 30 and 45 minutes before I actually start. I grab a cup of coffee, meet up with a couple of other vapers who work in my building, sit outside and chat for a bit. If I didn't have that coffee mug in one hand and a one of my mods in the other, something would just feel wrong. It would feel like I was naked or something.

How about an "Advocacy" sub-forum? I realize this would be similar in nature and related to "Campaigning", there is a distinct difference between the two; to me at least. Where "Campaignig" seems to be directed at specific laws legislators are trying to pass, "Advocacy" is more about educating the mis-informed and the under-informed as well as standing up for our rights.- 19 replies

what you find more appealing about vaping ?
Adversarious1 replied to cesar's topic in Polls and Questionnaires
I'm with the others on this, the health benefits are the real appeal to me. I can get my nicotine fix without all of the other carcinogens found in cigarettes. That being said, going purely on how the question was originally posed, (gadgets or liquid), my answer is easily the gadgets. I'm a gadget junkie as it is. While I like a lot of different e-liquids, and I like the fact there seems to be an endless choice of e-liquids, if somebody told me tomorrow that I could only vape one flavor e-liquid from now on, any flavor of my choosing, I wouldn't have a problem with that. Now, if somebody told me I could only use my subtank mini on top of my Sigelei 100+ and I had to use the 1.2 ohm factory coils, there would be problems. -

First, welcome to VT. You've come to a great site. There are a lot of friendly, knowledgeable people here that will be more than willing to help get you pointed in the right direction. Just be forewarned - everybody's vaping experience is different, so you're likely to get a variety of different answers because so much of the vaping experience is purely subjective. There are lot of variables that factor into producing big clouds, including what each individual considers to be a "big cloud". I'm only going to cover two or three of those variables because I know myself, and I tend to be over-descriptive. As I already mentioned, many things about vaping are subjective; "big clouds" are one of those things. What I might consider to be a huge cloud very well be laughed at by people during a cloud competition (I'm not assuming you want "cloud comp" size clouds, I'm just using that as an example). I have also talked to people at shops who thought they wanted big clouds when what they were really after were dense clouds. I was actually one of those people at one time. My personal "cloud" preference is dense. I honestly don't care how big the cloud is. Now, if go ahead and assume you are talking about "cloud comp" size clouds, then the main problem you are going to run into is the fact you are using an itaste mvp 20w. Cloud comp size clouds typically require sub-ohm coils. These days, a lot of the "cloud chasers" are building dual coils to .05 ohms and even lower in their rda's and they are using unregulated mech mods or box mods or the are using high wattage regulated devices. If I recall correctly, the itaste mvp 20w only fires down to 1 ohm. Does that mean you can't get big clouds with an itaste mvp 20w? Not necessarily, but again, that depends entirely on what you consider to be a big cloud. Higher VG content in your liquid is all but a guarantee that your clouds will be larger, even when vaping at 1 ohm or higher. I vape anywhere from 50/50 PG/VG liquids to liquids that are over 90% VG. For me, (and in theory, this should hold true for anybody), I know that if I go from my a 50/50 PG/VG liquid in my Lemo with a .7 coil to a 20/80 PG/VG liquid in the same tank with the same coil at the same wattage, my clouds are going to be bigger because the VG is essentially the "cloud" agent. Another factor is inhale technique. A mouth-to-lung hit is less likely to produce as much vapor as a direct lung-hit. Using the same set-up example and liquid blends from above, a 3 second direct lung hit with the 50/50 PG/VG liquid is not going to produce as much vapor as a 3 second direct lung hit with a 20/80 PG/VG liquid, but if I take a 7 second direct lung hit on the 50/50 liquid, I can get a comparable cloud to a 3 second direct lung hit on a 20/80 liquid. The best advice I can give right now is to take a look at a higher wattage device before you start diving into the world of RBA's. Possibly take a look at some sub-ohm tanks. There is a huge selection of affordable, quality regulated devices and a seemingly even bigger selection of sub-ohm tanks on the market that will help you get bigger clouds with the right setup. That would be the right setup for you...not the right setup according to recommendations online or recommendations. I know I was long-winded, but I hope the info helps point you in the right direction.
