  1. Yep, they have them. http://www.myvaporstore.com/Replacement-Coil-for-Horizon-Arctic-Tank-Ni200-p/hz-arahz.htm That's just the first link I came across and not necessarily the best price. It's more just to show they are available.
  2. I couldn't agree more. After all, if it wasn't for hijacked threads, I would never have known that I shouldn't show up at your house with a box full of Maruchan ramen .
  3. Bingo ;) Everyone has different preferences. I'm the same way in many respects...smaller tanks with tighter airflow for flavor, larger tanks with more airflow for when I simply don't have the ability to refill, and dripping for a combination of flavor, clouds and that extra "kick". Just my personal preferences
  4. I gotta say, of all the things I have come to love about the Vapor Talk community, hi-jacked threads are at the top of the list
  5. I'll be there on Saturday only of the weekend. Same situation...probably with a group, but I will always be willing to set a few minutes aside to introduce myself to a fellow VT member.
  6. Nope, I'm talking about tanks. The only tank I have where I ever run into liquids changing color is my Lemo. When I start seeing the liquid change color, that tells me it's time to re-wick, re-coil or both. I have never had a single liquid I was vaping change color in any of my other tanks, but I also vape with the airflow wide open and I tend to prefer my vapes on the cooler side so that might contribute to the liquids not changing color on me.
  7. This is something I actually learned last Friday. Sometimes setting your cell phone on top of your car so you can keep vaping while you put other things in your car can lead to a cell phone in the middle of the road. That happened to me last Friday. Long story short, I was leaving work. I had my personal cell phone and a nice cold Pepsi in one hand, my vape in the other hand and my laptop case hanging from my shoulder. When I got to my car, rather than setting my vape on top of the car so I could put my laptop case on the passenger seat, I set my cell phone and nice cold Pepsi on top of the car. That's when I got a call on my work issued cell phone and promptly forgot about my personal cell phone (and nice cold Pepsi) sitting on the roof of my car. A half mile later I heard something bounce on my roof and looked in my rear view mirror just in time to see my cell phone (and nice cold Pepsi) bouncing down the road behind me. The phone suffered critical damage, but it did survive and still functions. The new screen and digitizer will be arriving tomorrow. Sadly, the nice cold Pepsi did not survive. In hindsight, I think I'm happier it was the cell phone that made the journey rather than my Sigelei and Arctic tank. It only cost me $36 for a new screen and digitizer...I couldn't have replaced the Sigelei, Arctic and most likely batteries for that much and I'm sure they wouldn't have fared as well as the phone.
  8. Interesting concept. I have never intentionally burned liquids, but there is one flavor I vape that I will intentionally let "age" for a day or two in the heat of my garage because it tastes better to me after spending some time in 120+ degrees than it does when left in a room at about 76 degrees. It doesn't change the color or have any effect on throat hit (or nicotine hit from what I have been able to tell), but it does kick the flavor up just notch.
  9. Whether you go higher or lower is entirely up to you. I normally vape a .5 ohm coil somewhere in the neighborhood of 27-30 watts depending on what liquid I'm vaping and which tank I'm using, but that is the general area of my personal sweet spot. If the liquid is burning and making you cough even at 20 watts, I would start looking at the liquid (perhaps flavor or nic content of the flavor) as the cause and not the power.
  10. You can try the lower nic level as Earthling suggested (either buy a new bottle in 3 or 6mg nic, or you can get a 0mg then mix it with the 12mg to cut the nic level). What wattage are you set to while you're vaping? That is going to be another factor. A lower wattage may help with the burning sensation. Along with each person's personal preferences, different equipment behaves differently. You can run the exact same juice at the exact same wattage in three different tanks with 0.5 ohm coils and get a very different vaping experience with each one based on the settings of the mod you are using.
  11. Hello X3fyr and welcome to Vapor Talk. This is my personal opinion, (I'm admittedly biased), but I would say by coming here for answers you are on the right track. Ehhh...nevermind. Comp beat me to the questions I was going to ask
  12. Cesar, you leaving is your choice, not ours. That being said, and without taking this whole debacle into consideration (which I don't actually fault you for), I don't think I'm the only person you have rubbed the wrong way in these forums almost from the day you joined. For me it was never about your grammar. I can easily overlook that. For me it was the way you continuously and consistently stated your opinion on various topics in a manner that made it sound like it was your way or the highway, like your opinion is the only correct opinion. You never have seemed to grasp the concept that every vaper is unique. Each of us has our own preferences in APV's or unregulated devices, each of us has our own preferences in tanks or RBA's, each of us has our own preferences in how much airflow we like, each of us has our own preferences in how warm or how cool we like our vaping experience to be, each of us has our own preferences in nicotine strength, each of us has our own preferences in flavors, each of us has our own preferences in PG/VG ratio. Basically, each of us has our own "sweet spot", another concept you have never seemed to grasp, (if you have, it hasn't been apparent). Speaking only for myself, I think many of your posts would have been better received if you simply added these four simple words to them: "my personal preference is...". Good luck on those other forums. If you think this one is full of "idiots" and the others aren't, you're in for a big surprise.
  13. I've had an interest in doing some DIY flavors that I think will pair well with some of my favorite adult beverages. The thing that has been holding me back has primarily been "start up" costs. I just couldn't bring myself to order the supplies online. I didn't want to end up with a bunch of items I wasn't going to end up using if it turned out DIY isn't my thing. As luck would have it, one of my local B&M's started selling DIY supplies. The one thing they don't sell is nic base, but I'm okay with that. I would rather figure out whether I even enjoy DIY before spending even more money on something I may not end up using. Long story short, I made a trip to said B&M and walked out with enough supplies to make 15+ 30ml bottles of liquid. Total cost out the door was less than $35, which is less than the cost of 2 30ml bottles of many premium brands I vape. I figure If I am only successful on 3 or 4 of those bottles, then I was successful and the cost was worth it. (I do frequently drip 0 nic when I'm just kicking back in the mancave with a nice, cold adult beverage). I have now started my first experiment. I'm going for a "Lynchburgh Lemonade" type flavor. Definitely not everybody's cup of tea, but I love my Kentucky Bourbons and Tennessee Sour Mash Whiskeys. Crossing my fingers on this one. Haven't tried it yet, but it smells great.
  14. I agree with what Tam said. I tried a cigalike and it did nothing for me, but from the day I got my first good starter kit (Kanger EMOW) I haven't touched a cigarette. I threw away the cigarettes that were remaining in the pack I had with me when I bought my first kit specifically so I wouldn't be tempted with the mindset of "just one won't hurt".
  15. Generally around 0.7 ohm single coil builds.
  16. Checked the Lemo. The airflow can be cranked down pretty tight. Almost shut off tight. Just another option. It has it's quirks, but for me, the flavor it produces with the coils I usually build are phenominal and make the quirks woth it.
  17. Tam, have you tried the Lemo? It's been a while since since I played with the airflow and I run the airflow wide open on mine, but even wide open it's a fairly tight draw. Not KPT tight, but mouth-to-lung is primarily what I use it for. I'd be happy to crank down the airflow tonight when I get home and report back on the lowest airflow setting. Just a suggestion because I don't think you're going to find a sub ohm tank that has been released in the last few months that is going to be anything close to mouth to lung.
  18. The air adjustment is going to increase or decrease the amount of air that flows through the tank as you draw. If I remember correctly, the Nautilus mini has 4 settings. The smallest setting will be tighter and restrictive while the largest setting will offer a looser draw. Different air flows will have an effect on how warm or cool the vape is, the flavor and the amount of vapor produced. My advice on airflow - start with the lowest setting and take a drag without actually applying power to the battery. If that is too tight, move to the next setting and repeat until you find what airflow is comfortable for you. Part of the enjoyment of vaping is experimenting with the different settings and finding out what is best for you. You may find the lowest air flow setting on that Nautilus mini vaped at 3 volts (or 5 watts) will provide you with the perfect experience, or you may want a warmer vape with the same airflow and you'll find that bumping the power up to somewhere between 3.6 and 3.8 volts (7.2 to ~8 watts) will be perfect. Experiment. Have some fun with it. Everybody has different preferences. We can (and will) help get you going in the right direction, but only you can decide what is best for you.
  19. Looks like Earthling got the same email I (and most likely others as well) did. Done.
  20. Welcome to VT. What type of liquid (strength, flavor, brand, PG/VG ratio) and what type of equipment are you using now? There will be a lot of suggestion and opinions, but many of us will do our best to tailor suggestions and/or opinions based on what you are using now.
  21. I'm glad I haven't pulled the trigger on this yet. I'll stick with my Silo Beast for now. Or my Sub Tank Mini. Or my Arctic. Or my Herakles. Or my Lemo. Or my....
  22. I buy most of my wire from Amazon also, but if you are going to go with Lightning Vapes brand wire, check their website. I have been looking at picking up a lot of wire for different builds I want to try and I have found the prices are actually cheaper from LV's website in some cases than on Amazon. Most of the time the prices are the same, but there are cases where one is cheaper than the other and it isn't always Amazon that's cheaper. Lightning Vapes also offers free shipping when ordering directly from their website, just like they do through Amazon.
  23. He could mean the Subox Mini Starter Kit. Comes with the Kbox mini and a Subtank Mini.
  24. Also keep in mind the Sub Tank Plus is 25mm in diameter where the Sub Tank Mini is only 22mm. Unless you really feel the need to have the 7ml capacity, the Sub Tank Plus is going to look odd on almost any battery or mod out there unless you go for something running 26650's.
  25. Got it updated. Ended up being a .dll issue on my laptop.
