I'm using the V8-T8 coil. That's the one that cames installed in the tank. Sent from my VS986 using Tapatalk

I'm loving this tank. Awesome vapor AND flavor. I'm also using the .15 coil, but the tank is on my Fuchai 213 at 100 watts. The tank has gotten warm a couple of times, but that was because I was chain vaping. The mod hasn't gotten warm even once. I love this tank (and the mod) so much I cancelled my Reauleaux 2/3 and ordered a second 213 and a second TFV8 is SS (my current one is black). Sent from my VS986 using Tapatalk

How many mods do you vape in rotation?
Adversarious1 replied to smacksy's topic in General Vaping Discussion
When I'm at home I generally vape a single mod/tank/juice setup. At the moment I'm vaping my Fuchai 213 with TFV8. Work days or when I'm out and about is an entirely different story. I usually have 2 regulated mods with me when I leave the house, and I have been accused of overkill with the extras I carry with me on a daily basis. In my defense I am on the go a lot during my work days and I have a long commute, so I'd rather be safe than sorry. In addition to whatever regulated box mods I decide to use each day I usually have at least two extra tanks (sometimes 3), two needle tip bottles filled with juice for refilling, 2 to 4 additional 30ml bottles of juice, 2 to 4 extra batteries, at least one mech mod (sometimes two) with an RDA on each one, my coil kit, 26 gauge kanthal and cotton. As if that isn't enough, I also have two 11000 mAh battery packs that are normaly reserved for cell phone charging. It just so happens they are very effective at charging batteries in mods as well. Bump when you get something in vape mail.

Welcome to the dark side [emoji1] Sent from my VS986 using Tapatalk That finish on your RX2/3 looks much nicer than the pics from Wismec all the sites have. Is it really that nice or is it the lighting from the flash? I just ordered a red RX2/3 earlier today. Sent from my VS986 using Tapatalk -
Bump Everytime You Buy Something New

Sigelei Fuchai 213 and SMOK TFV8. The mod is almost 2 weeks old. Picked up the tank today along with more batteries. Can never have enough batteries. Also just ordered a Wismec Reauleaux RX 2/3 in red. Sent from my VS986 using Tapatalk -

The Feds already have a law enforcement agency. Beureau of Alcohol, Tobacco & Firearms. While their tobacco related duties primarily consist with the investigation and apprehension of illegal tobacco trafficking, their duties could easily be expanded by an act of Congress. What I think will more likely happen is the ATF will enlist the aid of existing state and local agencies in the enforcement of the regulations through federal grants. That would work as well [emoji6] Absolutey correct...local law enforcement doesn't have time to enforce the things we HAVE to enforce. The one thing I can see us enforcing here in California is the under 21 law (Yes...21 here in California). Even then, while I can't speak for every agency I can tell you the only time my agency even does minor decoy stings is when it is paid for through a federal or state grant specifically for those purposes or when a large number of complaints are received about a specific business. I work in law enforcement. Over the years I have been in courtrooms many times when I have heard a defense attorney object to a statement made by a witness and ask for that statement to be struck from the official court record. When this happens, the attorney generally states specifically what wording they want removed from the record and the judge repeats it to the court reporter when making the official order to strike the statement. The vast majority of the time the statements being objected to/struck are irrelevant to the case and really have no bearing on it, but every once in a while a statement made by a witness, whether warranted or not, can influence a jury's decision to convict or not convict. In those particular cases I have always found it interesting that the reason the defense attorney wants a particular part of a statement struck is so the jury won't officially "remember" it, but by repeating the statement and then having a judge repeat the statement while issuing the order to strike the statement it usually ends up burning that statement into the memories of the jury. While the struck statement cannot be used in determining guilt, it ends up serving as a subliminal message of sorts. What does this have to do with the FDA regulations? Subliminal messages. I was chatting with a fellow vaper here at work today about the regs and where we see things going. We are both in agreement that vendors not being able to promote vaping as a safer, healthier, less dangerous alternative to smoking is ridiculous. So we came up with the following text that a shop owner could potentially post in the window of their shop (or even inside the shop). It probably wouldn't fly very far, but it still might be fun to test the waters a bit.

You should end up with approximately 6.5mg eliquid. That is if you are adding exactly 1ml of 72mg nic base to exactly 10ml of 0mg liquid. Sent from my VS986 using Tapatalk

Fox Business had this article on the web today
Adversarious1 replied to Edna's topic in General Vape News
Believe it or not, before I got my first real vape kit I tried blu. Set me back almost $50 for the charger, 2 batteries and 5 cartridges. They sucked. Got my first setup, a KangerTech EMOD, 5 extra coils and a bottle of juice a couple of weeks later. Set me back about $40 and I still occasionally use it. Sent from my VS986 using Tapatalk -

It's a very poorly written article that was probably thrown together based on a very limited set of available numbers. You are correct, though, numbers don't make sense. What I find more interesting (and even harder to believe) is the fact that the "big three" mentioned in the article have a combined 65% market share. The article says analysts predict sales of e-cigs AND vapor products to hit $4.1B in sales. So not only do the numbers not jive, but I find it difficult to believe the three brands mentioned have a combined 65% market share. I personally know dozens of folks who vape...not a single person I know who vapes uses Vuse, blu or Mark Ten e-cigs. They ALL use more advanced vaporizers that you order online or find in a B&M that specializes in vape equipment, not the "Big Tobacco" cigalikes that you get from Circle K, 7-11 or AM/PM (or whatever local gas station convenience store happens to be in your neck of the woods). -
Welcome to Vapor Talk Lee! My OWN opinion is that we're a LOT more friendly and not at all cliquey around here, but I'm biased. When I joined not quite 18 months ago I perused this and several other forums. This is what I was looking for...a group of people who, for the most part, are more concerned with vaping for health reasons than than they were with comparing who can blow the biggest cloud. You'll find hobbyists here as well, though. DIYers, coil builders, collectors...heck, we even have one guy around here whose personal hobby is helping other people spend money on vape gear. I won't mention his name.

good sites for liquid where you can pick the ratio
Adversarious1 replied to Leighanne's topic in New Vapers Forum
I'm all over the place. Anywhere from 50/50 to 10PG/90VG. Most of what I vape is either 30/70 or 20/80 PG/VG. As FXRich mentioned is the case with some people my ratio depends on which flavor I'm vaping, which tank I'm using and whether I'm running a sub ohm coil or something in the 1.2 ohm range. I agree with this statement and I'm only a consumer. But I think it goes beyond just ingredient analysis, child safety, age verification and facility inspections though. Personal opinion only, but I would like to see some sort of regulation regarding packaging. Along the lines of "Joe Camel" back in the 90's, there are dozens if not hundreds of liquid manufacturers out there whose packaging is appealing to children. While those manufacturers may not intentionally be marketing to children, perception is reality. Public (and political) perception is that those manufacturers are marketing toward children. The argument that "adults like fruit and dessert flavors too" isn't going to cut it and it never should have. VT's labeling and packaging is a great example of the proper way to do it. Pictures of Rice Krispy Treats, Fruit Loops and Apple Jacks is not. It isn't only liquids, though. Every piece of hardware is now going to be regulated by the FDA. I think that's wrong on a number of levels, but one of those reasons I think it is wrong is because many of the things we as vapers take for granted are things that were adopted for vaping from other uses. Batteries, wire and cotton to name a few. If I understand it correctly, things like 18650 batteries will now fall under the same FDA regulations. Wire we use to build our own coils will now fall under FDA regulations. Organic Japanese Cotton will now fall under FDA regulations. Do we really expect battery, wire and cotton manufacturers to submit their products for approval? I don't. What I think is more likely to happen is that battery, wire and cotton manufacturers will be more selective on who they do business with unless the FDA eases up on some of the things they are "regulating" as "tobacco devices". I'm sorry to be venting and I know for the most part I'm preaching to the choir, but our government here in the United States as a whole and even more so at many of the state levels is completely out of control.

I know there are some manufacturers with online sites out there that will let you order different ratios of some flavors. They usually ask you to select your PG/VG ratio along with your nicotine strength when you place it in your cart. Not all manufacturers do this and not all flavors by the manufacturers that do it are available that way. Some flavors just work better at specific ratios while others seem to work well no matter what the ratio. I don't have any local B&M's that sell the same flavors in different ratios, though...although all of my local B&M's sell different liquids with varying ratios. Does that make sense? A couple of other things you might try would be to either up the wattage (or lower the wattage) slightly for a warmer or cooler vape or you can try adjusting the airflow slightly for a tighter or looser draw.

Chris, Do you have any info or input (even if it's only your personal opinion) on how HR 2058 can possibly affect all of this? The way I see it, HR 2058 can definitely be a game changer - at least as far as what is currently on the market and it's availability later on down the line. I know the bill is still gaining co-sponsors, so I know it isn't dead. I have submitted my letters to my senators and congressman via CASAA's website at least three times and I urge everybody else to do the same. In fact, I just received the canned reply from my congressman in my email today. I don't expect either of my senators to come on board, as they are both democrats (not trying to get political with this, but face it...it is) and one of them is a lame duck who is giving up her seat at the end of her term anyway, but the canned letter from my congressman wasn't anywhere near as "thanks for your input...nicotine is dangerous...we need to save the children" as the canned letter I got from one of my senators.

I've run into vape tongue a handful of times since I quit smoking and started vaping. Other than making sure I'm drinking lots of water, I have found some other things that always work for me. Changing up flavors: If I've been vaping fruit flavors (my preference), then I'll switch to dessert or adult beverage flavors (something bourbon flavored most often). I personally avoid tobacco flavored vapes but that's a decision I intentionally made. The only exceptions are two flavors with a little menthol in them. Changing up hardware: I have a variety of tanks and RDA's. I know some people like specific setups - mods, tanks, coils - and they won't deviate from those setups while others are like me...we like to mix things up. I can't speak for others, but changing the tanks and coils regularly helps keep my taste buds from becoming accustomed to the same thing over and over again. It's almost like a party in my mouth. Changing up the PG/VG ratio: I primarily vape high VG flavors. Anywhere from 30PG/70VG to 10PG/90VG. Sometimes I'll find that I need to kick the flavor up a notch, though, so I'll go with a 50/50 ratio. PG is the flavor carrier, so that bumping the PG can help also.

Is it safe to vape after root canal treatment?
Adversarious1 replied to jelitz21's topic in New Vapers Forum
I'm not a dentist (nor do I play on on TV), but as with Tam, I was able to vape after some recent dental work. Now if you were having an extraction, such as a wisdom tooth, that would be a different story. In the case of an extraction you would have sutures and the point of not smoking, vaping, drinking through straws, snorkeling, breathing or anything of that nature through your mouth is to prevent dry socket. That being said, it might be a good idea to consult your dentist, even though your dentist is likely to advise against vaping after a root canal. -
For the record, a lot of us probably ARE nuts, but we aren't nuts because of lots of back ups.
-
You might want to invest in at least 4 more batteries. It's always good to have back-ups and back-ups for your back-ups. You never know when one of your batteries will simply decide to stop taking a charge (happened to me recently) or when you will suddenly find yourself away from having the ability to charge for an extended period of time. Having the extras will allow you to carry a couple of extra fully charged batteries with you (in a battery case, of course) for those "just in case" moments.

Yet another option is the Sigelei Fuchai 213. It's a bit smaller in size than the RX200 because it's only dual 18650 vs. the RX200's three. Similar features, similar price, similar functionality (when comparing the Fuchai 213 as opposed to the original 213. The original 213 is a little higher in price). Shinyitus bit me in the butt the other day and I picked up a 213. I like it so far. Haven't played with all of the features yet. Shinyitus will likely bite me in the butt again and I'll find myself the proud owner of the RX200S as well. In any event, both are decent choices and suitable replacements for the Sigelei 150.

Not really an introduction as much as a re-introduction. Been absent from the forums for close to a year, but it wasn't because I fell off the wagon. Early September of 2015 I was in a pretty serious car accident that led to a long, frustrating road to recovery. In any event, I'm back to about 95% of my old self and I'm happy to see that many (if not all) of the names around here I had come to respect up until my accident are still here.
