EverPresentNoob reacted to DragonGunner in Let's Talk Temp Control
Yeah Bebop. I also notice that the difference between the Kanthal vs the ni200 builds. I also feel that the kanthal tastes better, however I'm not sure if its just because that's all I've ever vaped before. Just doesn't feel like it hits as hard as the kanthal. More experiments will be coming up with pics of ni200 builds.
You are gonna have so much fun with the Zephyrus tank. I can't wait to hear your opinion.

EverPresentNoob reacted to Bebop in Let's Talk Temp Control
I am noticing that I get better flavor generally from a kanthal coil. The flavor and vapor are there with Ni200 but it's not as good as kanthal so far.
also, I read somewhere that you have to be consistent on the coil build with Ni200 in order for temp control to work properly. Either a contact coil with the coil loops touching or not touching at all which seems to be the case. Any inconsistencies and the temp control goes a little bonky.
there is a slight but noticeable suppression on TC over kanthal. It's hard to describe. It's not bad but it just feels a little flat compared to kanthal.
Still experimenting. I'm also gonna get the new Zephyrus tank as well.

So I finally did it. a couple weeks ago someone posted about the Twisted Messes RDA and in the pic there was this awesome looking coil installed. I bought the RDA that day and finally built that first coil I saw installed in it. This coil is twisted 28G / 5 strips of .5mm flat stacked / twisted 28G then stapled with 32G. twisted 4 times on a 1/8 drill. Clocks in at .22 ohms. takes about 1.5 seconds to heat up on my Sigelei 100+ set at 80W. Flavor is freaking phenomenal and vapor is pretty darn good as well. Took about 20 mins to make the coil but it was well worth it. -

EverPresentNoob reacted to gag8tor in Are rebuilds going to be dead?
I bought a subohm tank a few weeks ago only to find out a couple of days ago that the coils are no longer available. Imagine spending 30-40 dollars on a tank that you really like and coils no longer being available. I'm swearing off buying anything else that doesn't have a rebuildable base. I can build my Freakshow to get me about 30 minutes of vaping without redripping. So far I haven't seen a rebuildable tank that gives me what I want. I'm seriously considering taking an RDA and this tank I have to a machine shop and trying to come up with something.

EverPresentNoob got a reaction from NewDrip in The Clapton Tool
I was hoping for Freight Train, but ended up with more like fully loaded Mac Truck... Flavor is freaking Phenomenal!!! 24g inner wrapped with 28g. 4 wraps (because you so cant see it in the pic right?) on my Little Boy RDA. .4 ohms. Love this thing. I am thinking tomorrow I will pick up some 32g and try one with a 28g inner wrapped in 32... Wonder if I can build one small enough to fit my subtank???

Did it in my SubTank Mini last night. Night and day difference from how I was doing it. Thanks so much Dragon.

EverPresentNoob got a reaction from NewDrip in The Clapton Tool
I was intriqued by this and finally made a couple claptons today because of your post. didnt have a pipette, but I found just filing a small notch in my thumb and forefinger nails made it pretty easy. but I think I know where I can find pipette's at work and plan on trying this next week. Now Im wondering if I can make a clapton small enough to fit in my subtank mini rba deck... Hmmm.....
And no, thats not cotton candy!

EverPresentNoob got a reaction from Tam in I hope this is a juice question
I agree with this... I tried a number of their juices, but there is something in them that just plain doesn't agree with me. I get a real bad burning in my throat, and I dont mean the normal throat hit.

EverPresentNoob reacted to Tam in I hope this is a juice question
If it were me, I'd start with the juices. I tried really hard to like Mt. Baker Vapor's juices because they're so inexpensive and the customer service is amazing. My taste buds just don't care for something in their juice though.
What exactly are you looking for when you vape? More throat hit? More flavor? More...what? If you can tell us that, we may be better able to narrow things down for you.

Simple build on my new Godzilla 2 RDA. 24G Kanthal .18 ohms running on my Hades clone 26650 mod. Not fancy by any means, but Im kinda happy as it took my three tries to finally get it to work. had to resort to a youtube vid showing how to set it up. Next try I want to attempt a twisted coil or something, but keep it around .3. But for now this thing will kick my you know what...

Yes I do just like the coffee I am drinking now. I don't see reason to also have it in my vape. To much caffine is not good either. I would ralther drink it than put it in my lungs.

EverPresentNoob got a reaction from gag8tor in In a timely manner
Funny how this always happens. I clean a part of my work shed to do something specific and find all sorts of stuff that had gone missing....

EverPresentNoob reacted to MudDrum in In a timely manner
Someday I might move to the 'Dark Side'; having too much fun with the Russians and such right now.
I even set up for a Stainless drilling party, but didn't need it.
Cleaned the drill press up, cleared the work bench and found all kinds of 'missing' stuff, so not a total waste of time!

Nah, thats the saltshaker mod. Wife took the peppermill mod to work with her that day. -
EverPresentNoob got a reaction from HOOKER in Darkhorse RDA clone
I just got the Tobeco clone of this. built it with dual coils with a combined .5ohms. Not to bad, but there is hardly anything for a juice well. Not happy about that but meh, I think I paid 15 shipped for it. it works, was easy to build on, but that lack of juice well is gonna be a bummer for me. I think tomorrow I may rebuild it with a .2ohm setup and see what the differance is, jst I wont be able to put it on my Sigelei 30W then. it can only fire down to .3. It does have crazy good airflow though....

EverPresentNoob got a reaction from Tug in Just got a Melo RTA. Interesting...
I think with shipping it was around 25 bucks or just a touch less.

EverPresentNoob got a reaction from HOOKER in Just got a Melo RTA. Interesting...
So I just got my new Melo RTA in the mail from SweetVapes. love the idea of a sub-ohm that I can use on my 98 mile commute to work. Kinda hard to continuously refill my dripper while driving. I tried the Atlantis, but I couldn't deal with the spitting that I got from it. Someone suggested the Melo, and that the coils from it might work pretty good in my Atlantis. well I had to fill the new tank and give it a shot first ya know?
SO compared to the Atlantis it has a slightly tighter draw. I normally ran the Atlantis wide open, this is more like between the second and third setting on the Atlantis. cloud production is about the same as Atlantis. Flavor is darn good pretty much like my Atlantis was.
I have Ideas as to how I can free up more airflow in it and I may just try that. Overall I like this tank. but then I have only been playing with it for about an hour. I plan on trying its coil in my Atlantis tomorrow and see if that does anything for the spitting I was getting there.

EverPresentNoob got a reaction from Earthling789 in 6mg Nic
I had the same issue when I first started vaping a month ago... I had bought 12mg juice to start with comming off about a pack a day with a few pipes and a cigar or two mixxed in... it was cough city for me. Using a Nautilis mini and a Vision Spinner 2. how I got past it was I would start dragging on it (puffin, sucking, pulling??) and not hold the button down. I would do a normal drag as if it was an analog and pulse the button. so out of a 5 second drag I would go 2 seconds with no button, then button for a second then no button for another two seconds. Or I would tap the button a few times per drag. but I would always have to start off the drag with no power. this way it wasnt a big hit of vapor. after a few days I could hold the button the entire drag.
Also as has been said the flavor and type of juice played a big part in my coughing. I found that the cream type flavors did not induce the coughing as much as say fruit or heavy sweet flavors. Milk and honey is a local mix from my shop and it just tastes smooth and has no throat hit for me. Granted now I am using a dripper on a mech mod but that was the tricks that got me past giving up on this.

EverPresentNoob reacted to Compenstine in New Ex hookah, current vaper..seeking help
To add to what Bebop said you want High VG juice as well. This will give you the vapor production your looking for. I have been told that my Spiced Apple with a little tobacco flavor works well for Cigar and Hooka substatue. I can also do that flavor in a very high vg.
