gag8tor reacted to Tam in Cleaned coils
Who said anything about "cheap" vodka, I only use premium, lol. If I'm vaping some of it, it's not going to be rotgut vodka.

gag8tor reacted to BirdDog in Driving a 20 year old car
My car is 20 years old and has about 110,000 miles on it. Here is a list why I love my old car.
1. It is old, no one will want to steal it.
2. It is a stick shift, good luck stealing it.
3. Small gas tank, cheap to fill.
4. Bright pink color, can't lose it in a parking lot.
5. No car payment.
6. Cheap insurance.
7. No auto, shift on the fly 4 wheel drive.
8. No power steering, great upper body workout.
9. Engine compartment isn't full of all that computer crap, everything is easily accessible.
10. It has an ashtray and cigarette lighter.
The downsides to my old car.
1. Soft top, does not stop thieves.
2. No more stereo or speakers. Thank you thieves, may the 20 year old tape deck and speakers line your pocket book.
3. The trim is starting to come off.
4. 4 wheel drive eats gas
5. Parts may be hard to find in the long run. Still cheaper to fix than a car payment.

gag8tor reacted to FXRich in Are rebuilds going to be dead?
I rebuild my KPT coils, recently I bought a subtank mini kit, I ordered 4 extra RBA heads, and a extra tank, and today ordered another subtank kit I couldn't pass up the $49.90 price tag. So right now I have a subtank mini kit two more kits on the way and a extra tank. I should be set for awhile, and its all rebuilbable. Not sure if vaping is cheaper than smoking.

gag8tor reacted to Earthling789 in Caffeine E-liquid ?
Caffeine is not absorbed by the body the same way Nicotine is. Nicotine can be absorbed by the skin, aerosolized, liquid, solid, and is absorbed at 99% rate, regardless of method. Heat increases the absorption rate to increase perceived effects... Caffeine is best absorbed in liquid form, ingested into the stomach, and processed into the blood-stream by the kidneys/intestines. Ingestion has an absorption rate of 99%, but takes up to 45-min to feel the effects.
Caffeine gum and sprays are absorbed into the bloodstream through the mouth and throat, but only at the level of 50-75% the rate of an equal volume ingested into the stomach.
Caffeine "could" be added to e-liquids, but to get the equivalent of a cup of coffee, you'd have to vape 300mg (or a liter of 33% solution), and it would take 45-min for the effects to be felt. Basically, you'd have to drown in the stuff, and wouldn't get much benefit for the effort

gag8tor reacted to Adversarious1 in Clones or Counterfeits?
I know there is another fairly recent topic related to cloned items, but I had a brief conversation via Instagram with some folks about clones and I ultimately brought up what I think is a very valid point, so I wanted to have folks look at the topic of clones from a slightly different angle.
First, I wholly understand why a person would choose a clone mod or atomizer over an authentic - money. I don't begrudge folks who are trying to do what they can to save money and stay within their budget. The most important thing is that the people who do buy clones are taking steps to quit smoking and in the end, that's really what matters.
I do, however, have a huge problem with companies that clone items then try to pass them off as authentic. We've all seen them. Sure, there are companies that freely admit their products are clones, but how many stories have we heard of people buying what they thought was an authentic only to discover later it was a "clone". That isn't cloning, that is counterfeiting. That is theft of someone else's intellectual property.
To me, a clone is something copied with the express permission of the creator. For example, my very first PC was a Computerland BC88. This was an IBM compatible "clone" PC. It wasn't the first "clone" PC, nor was it the last, but it was manufactured with permission. Most "clones" on the market are not manufactured with permission...the designs are essentially stolen and the product produced is often passed off as authentic.
Personally, I stay away from clones. That is a personal choice by me. There is nothing on the market that I feel I need to have so badly that I feel I need to go out and buy a clone just so I can have one. If I see something I want, I save up for it. Having a brother who is not only a machinist and not only designs a lot of the parts his company manufactures, but he designs the parts that make those parts, I have seen firsthand the frustration companies must go through when they have their designs stolen. Designing a new product takes time, effort and frequently, a lot of trial and error. This is something I understand, which is a large part of the reason I choose to purchase authentics. The way I look at it is I'm supporting the innovators who will be able to create even more innovative products. The cloners will just wait for the innovators to innovate, then steal the designs. Again, just a personal choice, but I'm interested in other points of view.

gag8tor reacted to Mplough in What Sub ohm Nicotine mg Do You Prefer
Well I started building, it was inevitable I guess . When I'm doing the cloud thing I'm dripping straight VG. For everything else it's 3mg, 2 or 0.

Picked up a troll RDA for $29 and my Simple Mod clone ($16 eBay) came in. Did a patina, striped the bottom and 4 coats a matte clear.

gag8tor reacted to Vapor Guy in Subtank Mini Popping
I don't have the temp control coils yet but I noticed with the standard 0.5 & 1.2 coils I have got dry hits that were just terrible, I have got hot juice splatter etc.. I don't get it, even with the RBA coil, not to mention the cotton it came with was just making the juice taste ok, but not extra great.
To me Kanger has had issues in the past and they still do, Kanger is a expensive name, but there quality don't seem to hold up to the price. Personally Joyetech has got them beat, so does innokin with there new sub series tanks.
Idk what everyone else thinks but I know if I am paying 40.00 for a tank I expect everything to be top notch, and the coils for the tank should be top notch as well. Just my opinion

gag8tor got a reaction from Tam in Lets See Those Fur Babies
Not much of a cat person but this is Jackson. He showed up at our house last winter so we just had to start feeding him. He was indoors within a week. He must be a dog trapped in a cat's body. He follows us when we walk around town. Goes outside instead of the litter box. Very low maintenance. He loves hanging out on the deck with me when I'm grilling. Aside from my Jack Russell Terrier Gypsy who passed away 6 years ago at the age of 14 I can't ever remember being so attached to an animal.

I'm definitely done playing the coil game though. If it doesn't have a rebuildable base I don't want it.
