  1. They are so much a part of our old life style, hard to say I don't need you anymore.
  2. Way to go! I've been smoke free for 62 days and it seems like the time just flew by! I keep checking calender cause I think my counter is off! We will all get there.
  3. Great idea, my BP is holding steady, SPo2 went from 97% the day after I quit is now at 99%.
  4. I did it the final step for us,I got rid of the last ashtray. Actually gave it to my son but it's out of my living room, none in office, none in kitchen, none in bathroom, none in bedroom. Gone. My only "ashtrays" now are 2 Longaberger baskets on my desk with our vaping supplies in them.
  5. Not lame I had no idea at first. Wordup has pcc starter kits for both 510 mega 520 there, and eGoXL. You can charge on the go and have a safe place to keep your gear. They ship worldwide as does a lot of places here. If it's any help I'm getting my SIL the eGoXL pcc kit for Christmas from Jeffery. Both the 510 and the eGo have pros and cons but if you go with one or the other they are made by the same company and most parts are interchangable. I have both and use them both. OK my eGo is brand new and I am really in love with it but the 510 is a nice unit.
  6. Sorry if that last post sounded kinda rude, I didn't mean for it to. I'm one of those hated A type personalities:( I value everyone's opinion on here, we may not agree but we do respect one another.
  7. My reasoning behind knowing who is mixing is that I want to know that they are passionate about putting out a quality product. For me that means attention to every detail, top quality ingredients, sanitary practices, careful blending, and listening to the customers. If you care deeply about providing the best quality you chose your ingredients very carefully, it's like the difference between a grocery store tomato and the ones you grow yourself. The stores want produce to sell so they just buy what's available to them and sell it. Homegrown are so much more flavorful and fresh. When you put your best into what you do and don't settle for less then your product will reflect that. You can hear the excitement in their voice the pride, and they are always open to suggestions. When you cut corners the product suffers and people complain, no body wants to take calls from people who are unhappy or teed off so the willingness to talk to customers fades. I also know that some folks may think this new recipe is great and it reeks. How many of us have worked hard on preparing a dish and it turns out god awful. I know I have and I don't repeat it. I think that most of the folks here are pretty picky about their vaping, if they weren't we wouldn't have product reviews. The good suppliers are well known, we may all have different tastes but all seek the best. I enjoy the reviews for that reason, turn me on to great stuff or steer me away from crap. That the best part of this forum the sharing and guidance offered here. It takes a village to raise a vaper LOL.
  8. I like knowing who is mixing my juice, name phone number, and being able to speak personally with them. I think everyone knows by now that I love WU and use only them now but nicotine ingestion aside, what about the dangers of having lighters and matches around kids? Or dozing off while smoking? Yes analogs carry warning, to the adults about long term risks but every liquid supplier makes it clear that the juice is toxic to pets and kids. I see from the postings about toolboxes, tackle boxes etc. that vapors take this seriously and safeguard their juices. If someone took all the info, second hand smoke, fires caused by lighters or falling asleep while smoking, kids eating analogs or chewing on butts, it does happen more than we think. I feel the evidence would be overwhelming that vapors have a safer environment for kids than smokers. Just my own thoughts.
  9. Did you check out wordup? Laurin has a huge selection of menthols. I'm still in the buy buy buy mode but I order about every 2 weeks and I have found that I am still spending less on the average every 2 weeks than I did weekly on cartons of analogs. Plus I don't have to stare at the last 2 cigs in my pack at 11pm and try to decide if I smoke one now and deal with 1 cig in the morning before work, or maybe half a cig now and 1 1/2 in the morning. No more worrying who gets the last cig or rushing out the door to stop before work. No more going out to buy analogs when I really want to just stay home and relax. And no more shame when I buy analogs wearing my scrubs and knowing the people in line behind me are tsk-tsking because I should know better. Only problem is I can smell the dogs better now, they need a bath. No more frantic candle lighting and air freshners to cover up the stink. Still cheaper but we can track the money spent easier so it seems like we are still spending a lot when we really aren't.
  10. Anybody going through detox sleeps a lot. Sleeping is our body's way of repairing itself. I do get a lot more done these days and I noticed the one side effect I wanted, no more shortness of breath. I had began to notice that at times like when take blood pressures and bending over slightly I became almost breathless feeling. Lightheaded, woozy. It really scared me so I knew I had to do something. I am one of those smokers who loved it, the whole ritual soothed me, relaxed me. I could go all day without smoking and not have nic fits but I hit the car and that analog was fired up. I smoked in certain situations and felt the desire more than the need when I couldn't smoke. Now I vape through my triggers, socializing, driving, watching TV, having my coffee on the front porch, etc. I realised last week that the SOB has stopped. I don't feel like I am missing out on anything and I am looking forward to this winter when I'm in non-smoking environment and I don't have to go outside and freeze. I smell like soap, shampoo and whatever else I'm using not smoke. This has been the easiest transition ever. I have failed at every product on the market and now I have success. So let your body detox and take slow deep breaths, you can do that now.
  11. My eGo has landed. XL with the JC and it is sweet. I called Jeffery with a question and we talked for quite some time, more questions as we talked you know the drill. Jeffery answered every question and gave me lots of great tips. He is just an all around great guy. He is more interested in happy customers than making a quick buck, I respect that. I do cruise around the other sites looking at different new juice flavors but I always go back to WU to order. The juice is top quality and very tasty, I am so happy with WU and I feel like a person to them not just a customer. I'm so thrilled with my eGo so of course I ordered more juice tonight, I love the Rum and Coke it's not only my I can vape this all day juice but also my ahhhh my day is over treat juice. I can't say enough about how wonderful WU is. Looking forward to many happy hours of enjoying their great products.
  12. I intend to, Jeffery and I spoke about that tonight and I plan on getting a pack so I at the very least have extra attys for an emergency. I don't know anything about LRs, still very new at this but I am learning quickly. All I can think of right now is how great this eGo is, and the beautiful clouds of vapor that smell so sweet.
  13. Thank you for posting this article Christopher. While I have not used the product mentioned I'm grateful that the owner is so vocal about defending ecigs. So much hate out there but I was encouraged that so many people read the article and responded. I know that when I vape in public people are more curious than anything else and ask a lot of questions. People have heard about ecigs but most have never seen one, just being around someone who is vaping clears up a lot of the "smoke" issue. Everyone knows at least one smoker and the word spreads. I openly vape in a couple of local pubs and have nothing but positive feed-back. We are not scumbags or second class citizens, I have more education than most of the complainers out there and my profession is highly respected so I blow off those negative comments and laugh to myself. I mean really we aren't Jerry Springer guests just normal everyday people changing our lives and health for the better. Thanks for giving us a place to vent and to share our stories.
  14. OOOOHHH pretty pretty! Congrats! You won this? Couldn't have gone to a better home or nicer person. Stroke it once for me.
  15. I know! He is really liking it too! I opened the package and thought wow this sucker is huge but it feels soooo nice, not nearly as heavy as I thought and I can really taste the juice so much better. So of course I ordered 10mLs of Belgium chocolae and Pina Colada and 50mLs of my beloved Rum and Coke. I spoke with Jeffery tonight and they will be down for a few days around the 28th so they can move Laurin's magic juice lab and set up in new place. I ordered right away cause you know I'll run out on the 29th. LOL Besides I got the jumbo cart and atty and it holds tons of juice. I'm going to sample the White Zin so I'll let you know how it tastes. I love those two, Jeffery is a font of great info and he was so tickled that I am in love with the eGo. I'm getting SIL the eGo XL pcc kit for Christmas. They have a coupon code for 5% off right now and he's planning some cool promos, I think after they finish the move. So keep an eye on his site. He's also removing the 1300mah battery from site, he's not happy with the performance. I was eyeing it as a back-up but he nixed that until issue is resolved. I'm so glad he is straight-up with people. I have to thank you sister in scrubs for guiding me to the eGo, I'm very grateful. Red rocks and you didn't tell me about the texture, rubberized, I love it and it feels more secure in my hand. I am delighted!
  16. It's here! I love it! I am one of those nuts who think bigger is better and if a little does it a lot will do it better:) It's big. I have small hands but that's not a problem, it fits nicely and feels great! I love the rubberized battery, in red, I was a little surprised that the platinum atty is a soft brushed goldish color but it looks really sharp. I got the jumbo atty and carts and boy are they huge! The tips of the carts are flat which I really like NO WAY to get that big thing in your mouth so it's perfect. Very nice hefty feel but not heavy or cumbersome holds tons of juice. I got a sample of eggnog juice and it took the whole thing! Tasted like waffles to me but hubby picked up on the eggnog right away, he does not like eggnog so I'm gonna remember that to keep this to myself. Vaping on the factory charge so I don't have any idea how long she'll last but I will report back. It draws so easy, I didn't buy the cone, easy relaxing vape. SIL took big hit and choked! He is in love as well, so guess what he's getting for Christmas.I think this is the best purchase I've made. I still love the 520 but this bad boy rocks. Tons of vapor with very little effort. I'm a very happy camper. Now I have to order more juice. I think at least 50mL of Laurin's Rum and Coke. I LOVE that stuff! After the day I've had today, really the week, I so needed this. A whole week-end of heavenly vaping! Analogs are dead to me now and Jeffery and Laurin are my heros! Love love love this baby! I just spoke at length with Jeffery and WU will be down for a few days at the end of the month so they can finish moving Laurin's kitchen/lab. Glad for the heads up so I can stock up now. I'm going to fix a nice cup of tea now and vape myself silly. Thanks guys for all your advice about the eGo and your support on my analog free life-style. You are all life savers and Jeffery and Laurin have given me the keys to set me free! Happy vaping all.
  17. Wordup has some nice ones. I got mine in chrome with my kit I think it looks cool but gets fingerprints on on. I think they have a new wallet looking one but it tends to sell out quick. I like the eGo XL one comes pcc only or as kit. Wallet like with room for your stuff and a special bottle that fits right in there. Check Jeffery's site or email him or PM him here and he will have your answer.
  18. Wordup has the 1300mah, I'm going to get one for hubby here at home. 520's in car or out and about with eGo. It uses 510 attys so it sounds like a fairly inexpensive addition to ecig stashes. Under $30, I figure you can't go wrong. I'm worried about winter coming and maybe power outages so long battery life would be lifesaver, of course if you don't mind running outside to use your car charger.......
  19. So what does this mean for us? I just bought a Joye eGo XL. Isn't Janty the USA branch of Joye? Will US suppliers still be able to get Janty? Is there something up we need to know about? Can we still get Joye products easily?
  20. Flat tax sounds great and fair but the rich would still make out better because of all the loopholes. The loop holes are the problem. Trickle down is a failure, and most of us don't have accountants to search for ways out of paying. Years ago we could deduct medical bills, having a child with medical problems, her medications in 1980, not including hospital doctor bills just meds, cost $32000 a year. Thank God for BCBS, but we still paid a lot of co-pays. That was all deductable. Then with Reaganomics we lost that. Today at 31 my daughter's medications alone would blow your mind. Pancreatic enzymes with every meal, Zpack 3 days a week, 3 neb meds and every other month 1 inhaled antibiotic, singulair, inhaled steroid, insulin, and she is trialing a NSAID new one not out yet, migraine meds, not to mention the equipment, 3 neb machines, and her vest and those co-pays add up. Again thank God for BCBS, Those tax breaks would help her out, but again people like us do not have those nice loopholes. Perhaps flat tax and close most of those loopholes. Small businesses need to be able allow for losses, they happen even with the best of businesses, small not BP, Shell, etc. and allowances need to be made for providing a living wage and insurance coverage for employees. Stop giving big banks and financial companies bailouts so they can continue to prey on the masses. I'm also sick of the lazy collecting SSI and other benefits when the folks who really need them cannot get them. My daughter is eligable but refuses to apply because she feels she can and should work. Sorry I jumped up on a soapbox but I see the fallout everyday. I do not understand how people cannot afford meds so they get pt. assistance and go in dressed in pricey clothes, with expensive cell phones, nails all dolled up and oh by the way can I get enough samples for a couple of month? We are going on vacation and will need them......Sorry guys I'm outa control here but I have to deal with this crap everyday. Those who need the help have to fight for it and then struggle to just survive, no nice vacations or fancy clothes for them. Sorry again rough week dealing with all this.
  21. The 510, I have the mega, is very discreet. I used it at a wedding reception and no body even noticed it. I carry mine in a cute cosmetic like bag with little holders in it but I love the eyeglass case idea. I have one of those in my office the glasses got broken during a typical ER scuffle:) but I knew I was keeping that case for something. Seriously the black model looks pen like.
  22. I ordered the eGo carts you are asking about I think. They go with the jumbo atty I will post on that when I get it and use it. Hoping tomorrow so I have a full week-end of fun.
  23. I ordered the 900mah and it should be here today or tomorrow glad to know the battery will go so long. Jeffery has been so good to me I have nothing but praise for him and Laurin. We have a bug going around office and this morning I woke up kind of stuffy, couldn't really taste my juices, so I loaded up some of Laurin's Double Mint. WOW I can taste that and my head is clearing up! That with hubby's little Blu, playing around, imagine what it'll taste like on the eGo! Cousins next door have made the decision to go ecig, so we will be calling Jeffery for guidance. As good as some of these other flavors sound I have not explored enough of Laurin's flavors to be ready to try others. They have been super to me and now I have to figure out how to convince boss that Double Mint will increase my productivity! LOL Sure beats Nyquill! Great job WU!
  24. The 510 is a great starter. The pre-filled carts are really easy to use and handy but they have a few drawbacks. Most do not taste very good, they tend to vary from cart to cart with how much juice they have thus amount of vapor. They can be refilled with juice but you have to be careful cause the liquid can get into the battery and ruin it. Manuals are sealed so no problem there. They are however easy to use while driving or for nights out but the battery time is very short, you seem like all you do is re charge. For social smokers this is fine but heavier users burn through these babies. The juices come in a mind-boggling variety of flavors and are a lot cheaper than pre-filled carts. I found that the cart really only last about 3-6 analogs depending on how much you vape. I started with pre-filled, the Blu, and it was fine for about 2 weeks, I then bumped up to the 510 mega and now waiting for my eGo XL to arrive. As long as you know what you are buying and what it can and can't do these make a pretty fair way to start. You will learn as you go along and only you can decide what suits you the best. Ask questions read posts and you will move through this life change smoothly. Welcome!
