  1. I had horrible cramps and very heavy bleeding, 1 entire day a month spent in bathroom didn't dare leave the house. I went from that to little spotting a few hours a month now nothing! I didn't have any reason to have hysterectomy either other than that. Figured I would have it if ablation didn't work but didn't want to start there.
  2. I worked midnights for years in an ER and several times thought I saw a man standing outside of one of the exam rooms, it always looked like he was reflected in the glass and he was just there then image gone. This room was visible from nurses station and had a wall across from it, one night I looked up and I could clearly see a tall elderly African-American man wearing a suit standing there. He was so real looking I got up to see who he was and he just disappeared. I looked down the hall into a couple of rooms and figured I was just tired. I walk back to nurses station and the doc says what were you doing Sis, I say oh I thought I saw someone standing by room 6 but I didn't. He says an older black man wearing a suit? I nearly fell over since I never said a word about this, one of the other girls pipes up yeah I've seen him a few times. One of the old-timers walks by and says oh he won't bother you I've been seeing him for about 10 years. I think he's the same ghost that's in the back elevator, you know the little car you don't like to get in. I freaked, I always had the willies in that elevator car and at times had thought I saw a reflection of someone in there with me in the windows across the hall. I have never felt comfortable in that car and still don't. Neither do a lot of the other employees none of whom I have shared this with.
  3. My mother is a retired teacher, she calls that cookie-cutter education. We tend to look at one model of IQ but in reality there are several types and several types of learning styles. The key to education is finding the IQ type and learning style of each child and using it to help them learn. But we don't do that. If your learning style is different or or IQ is different ie not reading and then testing, you end up in special classrooms, which is not to say specially designed for you, but lumped with other kids who may or may not have the same learning styles or type of IQ. Add to that choatic mix ADHD drugs which dull these kids down and you have accomplished nothing but singling out these kids as different, not as smart. Kids who have ADHD are as smart as everyone else but most kids treated are not really ADHD, they are bright curious vibrant kids who may be miles beyond their "smarter" classmates. I watched 1 child excel in school and the other fail miserably. Is she brighter than him? No he has an almost uncanny ability to figure out things that we can only scratch our heads at. She has a creativity that is amazing to me. In the same way if you were to look at them and pick the athlete you would pick him. Tall, lean, strong, her tiny, almost fragile looking yet she is the athlete. She has figure skated most of her life and at age 31 can still land huge double jumps. Him give him something with a motor and he can perform miracles or drive like a demon. What did school give them? She's smart and she knows it but he who is really the smarter one felt just getting out of high school was the hardest thing he'd ever done. There are millions of kids like that today. We need to treat each child as an individual and find what they need to learn rather than what we think they should learn. Some love and thrive on classic lit others wither that is the child who may well be the best and the brightest but we have cut them off at the root. We have cut them down without a hope of succeeding, and most will follow this pattern throughout their entire life. Very sad.
  4. Thanks friend I needed that, difficult morning, but afternoon was good. Will do Pina Colada review in a bit.
  5. I got my shipment of juices from Laurin and Jeffery yesterday, and was very excited to try 3 new flavors. WU sent me a sample of one of their new flavors White Zinfadel. Hubby tried this first and was quite happy. I tried it this morning using eGo with 510 atty 24mg VG. It doesn't smell as grapey as VT Midnight, lighter. You definately taste the wine, not a full bodied red like the Midnight but lighter, crisper, like the difference between red wine and a blush. Nice to be able to really ID the difference. Sweet but not overpoweringly so, light, crisp, just lovely. This has a rich vapor production without any heavy taste. it's refreshing, like sipping a quality white zin on a summer evening. Crisp on inhale and fruity on exhale, crisp clean flavors and I think it may well bump my beloved Rum and Coke out of first place on my favorite list. This is a must buy in 50mL for me, I keep telling myself it's 5 o'clock somewhere. I highly recommend this little gem from wordup. Thanks Laurin for this winner.
  6. Great clarification guys thanks. Wonderful to see credit for honest business practices given. It's also a strong point that Jeffery made about VT screening suppliers, When we purchase online we have to trust that what we are buying is what we are expecting, the real deal. Jeffery has always been straight with me and has sold me quality products that have allowed me to change my life, Christopher has proven to me that if he promises something he too delivers. I hope that people realize that cheap isn't better and quality and honest business practices are the most important items we as consumers need to be looking for and we patronize these top-notch suppliers. I know that I do.
  7. AHHHH I remember those days. But i do get holidays off and week-ends. Our docs like their Eves off too, and the day after Thanksgiving. Harder to get up for the black Friday sales than to clock out and go on the hunt with your work buddies. But I dislike not getting anything done during the week cause you're at work.
  8. Missed you Kitsune I figured you were working.I love this girl talk too. Co-worker had ablation today, mine was like a miracle. I have noticed that my hot flashes aren't as frequent or bad since I made this switch. Can't figure out if it's the weather change or what but I don't have to crank the AC at work so high. I even closed the bedroom window 3 nights ago, hubby was so happy, says he didn't freeze all night. My arm doesn't ache so bad either, better blood flow maybe. Go O2!
  9. Thanks for that great post, I've seen it before but it really belongs here as a source of encouragement for all of us. The best part is finding where you are on the chart and knowing how much healing your body has gone through. Thanks for the affirmation!
  10. Works great for most but it can have strange effects on others. Daughter tried Frova and it worked for her in 10 minutes. Amerge is also very good, both are same class as imitrex though.
  11. I agree with FT WU has a XL 900mah start kit with pcc too. Better to get everything you need at first and then start adding, I went with the jumbo atty and carts so that might be a nice add-on for you. I keep a running wish list and add a item or two every month or so now.
  12. Da Bears do play in Chicago but the training camp is here in my hometown. At the the University I graduated from. I know where Jersey is though and I actually knew that the NYC teams play out of NJ. Guess that's a thumbs up to Jersey. I'm gonna get spanked for that I think.
  13. I live in a fly over zone. We are only 50 or miles from Chicago and if your south of I80 you're downstate, unless something interesting or newsworthy happens here. Then we become the far southern suburb of......
  14. I did! I was curious but leery. I tend to stick to WU I did try VT and like it but I am afraid I'll be stuck with some juice that lands in my emergency only stock:) I'm so afraid of running out, I'm test driving a few so I can find the super ones and order BIG bottles. I may give that one a go though.
  15. What about Topamax? I had an episode about 2 months ago felt weird and everything looked wavy to me. Of course I think I'm having a stroke, one of our docs takes a look at me and says you're having an occular migraine. Icky. I did ER nursing and neuro was a part of it but so was all the other stuff. I'm in a good place now, sure I get ripped on but that's only because I'm doing my job. I work for the best docs around and have great co-workers. Not that my ER co-workers weren't great I still am friends with them and spend a lot of time with them but I love my hours and my work. I get that connection I couldn't get with treat and street. I get to know them. I may not do all the cool ER things anymore but I get to make a long-term difference and I love it.
  16. Best UFO movie ever, God it was so stupid I LMAO. It doesn't take much to crack me up.
  17. Took my Mom about 10 years but she doesn't get them anymore:) What do you use for your migraines? Now you're getting into something I can answer better. I am a Neurology nurse:) I am the lead RN for our Memory Clinic, lots of causes and very interesting, I do lots of migraines too, and MS. Used to be a Trauma Nurse Specialist and that is my first true love, especially neuro trauma, but I got sick and tired of the abuse. I've been bitten, kicked punched, pinched, spat on, cursed out and been told to do things to myself that I've never even heard of and can't quite picture. Today when I had to renew my CPR I realized that the arm I broke a couple of years ago isn't able to do compressions. Thank God I'm really good at 1 handed compressions. If you have any questions I can try to help you. Good luck this week-end the only running I do is at work:)
  18. Since I quit smoking I have developed a taste for tea. I always liked it but now I drink it constantly. Wish they could come up a flavor that tastes like Lipton's Vanilla Carmel Truffle. YUM. Maybe Laurin could figure that one out.
  19. Yeah I was hoping Kitsune would pop up and maybe add something I forgot. Neither one of us does OB-GYN but we remember it from school and clinicals LOL.And we own uterus'. The guys see that word or menopause in any of it's forms and they run. I can't see any connection between vaping and this, my sister is going through exactly the same as I did but several years later. She was older when she started too so who knows. My Mom and Grandmas all had hysterectomies before menopause so we don't know how old they would have been. My best friend is as regular as clockwork and she's 1 day younger than me, her sister is 1 year younger and she's very close behind me so age is more general.
  20. Cartomizers have the atty and cart all in one. You can few it several times, I don't know how many never used one, then you throw the whole thing away when it's done. Attys you use a cart with.
  21. No cone on mine atty is same diameter as battery. Looks sharp.
  22. The XL is great very long battery life add the jumbo atty and carts and you are set for the day. I know zero about LR but I'm delighted with eGo XL. WU has them in stock, Joyes, jumbo attys and carts the whole shabang.
  23. I think you will kiddo. I got some WU goodies coming this week so with the eGo I can do a fair comparison. Rum and Coke yum!
  24. I agree, tastes good in the morning, but not as full flavored like others. Comparing VT juices I think Midnight has loads more taste and vapor.
  25. I'm no help I am 18 months through menopause. No you are not too young for peri menopause especially if you never had children. It can go on for 4-5 years before you stop. The first signs are changes in frequency and/or severity of your cycles. Heavy bleeding, bad cramps, irregular intervals, hot flashes, night sweats, well those last 2 are usually a few years after your start going funky, but all are signs of peri-menopause. Have you had a recent pap? Blood work to check your thyroid levels, esp. TSH? First thing is to watch for anything else unusual, then get your yearly check-up and be straight forward about what is happening. Probably nothing but still get checked OK? Except for the hot flashes I am kind of sailing through, not what hubby says, so it's not all bad. Just make sure you're healthy. Let us know we care. I started having issues at about your age, had ablation done in when I was 42, hot flashes started at 45, stopped completely at 48. Still have those rotten hot flashes.
