The transition wasn't too difficult for me once I got the right equipment - eLeaf iStick and Nautilus tank. I started out with 18mg e-juices and have since worked my way down to 4/5mg homemade e-juices. I started vaping exclusively on December 18th and haven't had a regular cigarette since. My overall goal is zero nicotine and I'll probably stop vaping when I get to that point as well. Vaping has had some other nice advantages for me as well. As mentioned earlier, I no longer smell like cigarettes. I'm also to the point already where the smell of them bothers me quite a bit. I can vape inside. I never smoked in the house because of the odor and residue involved with it. Not to mention the discoloration of everything as well. My car doesn't smell like smoke. There were some brief times after I made the complete switch that I wanted a cigarette. I would just hit the vaporizer until that urge went away. I suggest giving it a try and see how you fare. Get yourself to a comfortable level with the vapor, even if you need to start at 24mg concentration e-juices.

I'm a big fan of my eLeaf iStick and the Nautilus or the Nautilus Mini tank. That combination is what worked best for me when I moved away from the real cigarettes after trying a couple different things...

I have had similar experiences with various e-liquids that I have purchased and made myself. I think part of it is letting your senses get used to a flavor. I have tried some that I didn't really like at all on first vapes but they grew on me as I continued with it. I sometimes need to vape 2 or 3ml of something before I can really get my senses wrapped around it. Most recently I tried a "Cosmic Charlie's Chalk Dust" flavor called "Dream Cream" that I didn't really like in the beginning. After hitting on it for a while it became a really nice flavor!

I have a similar story to yours. I was smoking about a pack to a pack and a half a day. It also took me a while to find the right 'equipment' to make the complete change to vaping. I started with the Blu e-cigs and those really were a joke. I upgraded to this thing called a SmokeStik Ultra, which was better than the Blu, but still not doing the job for me. I visited a real vape shop and the girl hooked me up with the eLeaf iStick and a Nautilus Mini tank. THAT combination worked for me using 18mg e-juices. You can adjust the power output to get the desired throat hit and flavor. I bought that combo the day before I got on a cruise ship for the Bahamas. I haven't smoked a regular cigarette since (December 17th). I have also worked my way down to 5mg nicotine concentration since then, which I'm super stoked about! I started my new diet on January 1 and I'm 25 pounds down and I'm getting back into running on the treadmill again. I can BREATHE! I'm looking forward to getting off the nicotine completely. Whether or not I continue to vape 0mg nicotine is yet to be determined Good luck with it!

Is there an alternative vanilla I can use or is vanilla just not something to use in e-liquids? I can't imagine why it's being sold as a flavoring for e-juices if it's not an acceptable product for this process...

I bought some Loranns Vanilla flavoring to work on a new e-juice recipe here at home and when I add that to my recipe and shake it up, the juice becomes very cloudy and it almost looks like something is precipitating in the juice. I have let this bottle sit and it doesn't seem to be clearing up or settling out. Has anyone had a similar experience or know what might be causing that to cloud up?

I tried to believe that too but the Suicide Bunny stuff seems visibly thicker than the juices I buy or make myself. Maybe it is just something like that and it's all in my mind... lol

In my brief experience with e-juices and vaping, I have discovered that the Suicide Bunny juices I have tried (Sucker Punch and Derailed) seem to last longer in my Nautilus tanks than any other juices I have used, commercial or homemade. These juices seem to be a little thicker than my others and I can't really explain it. I have made some homemade stuff at a ration of 35%pg/65%vg to try to thicken it up and still can't seem to match the 'longevity' of the Suicide Bunny stuff in my tanks. Any idea what may create this phenomenon?

I bought a sampler pack of the Five Pawns Signature Series earlier this week. This sampler contains five 4-ml bottles of the following: Grandmaster Gambit Queenside Bowden's Mate Absolute Pin I wanted to be able to try these without having to spend their price on 30ml bottles. Out of these five, I found ONE that I think is a MUST TRY for everyone! QUEENSIDE! This blend of blood orange and french vanilla is superb.

With another two weeks down, I'm using 6 and 8mg e-liquids now without much of an issue. I think at this level, I'm vaping a little more than I was before so I'm going to try to settle in at 6mg for a while without trying to move down again.

Well, I'm down from 18mg to 12mg after just a short time. I have been puffing on some of my homemade stuff at 12mg for about 4 days now with no issues. I'm gonna finish those off and then start working on some juices at 9mg...

I made a 30ml batch of a recipe I call "Georgia Peach" this week and I'm really super happy with it! 10ml Nicotine e-juice (50/50 36mg) 1ml Propylene Glycol 13ml Vegetable Glycerine 4.5ml Peach Flavoring 1.3ml Barvarian Cream 4 drops of sweetener I calculated this batch to be 60vg/40pg to get it to a viscosity I was happy with. This one is gonna be a keeper!

I made another recipe this week and used 60vg/40pg and it thickened up a little. I may try one at 65/35 next to see where it ends up. I made a peaches and cream recipe that I really like.

I have two iStick 20w models and both are working flawlessly with the Nautilus and the Nautilus Mini tanks. I don't have any other tanks to run on them...

I love my two iSticks. I'll probably buy one of these just because I like what I have now. I don't believe I'd take advantage of the abilities it has other than the extended battery life I'd get out of it.

Does anyone else have issues with the Aspire Nautilus Mini? I sometimes have a VERY difficult time removing the base so I can refill it. That darn thing really sticks in place sometimes. Maybe I'm over tightening it when I put it together? The full size Nautilus isn't so much of an issue because the size makes it a bit easier to deal with...

5ml batches are a little tough for me to make. I need to go locate some 1ml syringes. The smallest syringes I have are 3ml. They are graduated in .1ml increments but making really small batches requires precise measurement. Making larger batches doesn't require as much measurement precision. Small errors in measurement on a 5ml batch would be a bigger 'change' in the flavor and consistency.

Thanks... I'll give that a try. I'm still new at this and my reading tells me that the PG is the flavor carrier and the VG is the vapor producer. If that's correct I can understand the tradeoff. On my next flavor recipe I'll try out 40pg/60vg and see how that pans out...

In my early efforts at making my own e-juice, the first thing I notice is that my homemade mixture is not nearly as thick as the stuff I have bought. My mixture is a 50/50 pg/vg mixture calculated with the eJuice Me Up software so I'm confident that my 50/50 mixture is accurate. Is there a reason that the 50/50 mixtures I have bought pre-made are that much thicker? Is it an issue?

I work full time as an x-ray tech at a local hospital, but my sideline career has surpassed my day job in terms of income during the last year. I have been lucky enough to turn a hobby into a real money maker. I work for Kamado Joe grills out of Duluth, GA. I'm their Social Media manager and I also make cooking videos for their YouTube channel. I put out about one video per week. Here's a sample of this extremely fun job: I started out running a YouTube channel called Man Cave Meals where I simply cooked on various grills and smokers I have. I got noticed by Kamado Joe and they offered to supply me with some of their ceramic kamado grills to use on my channel. The response they got from my videos was excellent and they have since contracted me to do this exclusively for them. I hope each of you have a job/career that you love as much as I love mine

I'm still new at this and I have tried quite a few different flavors, but the Suicide Bunny "Sucker Punch" is by far my favorite. It's a dragonfruit and cream blend. I'm currently working on duplicating it with a homemade juice and I was fairly successful on the first try. A few tweaks might make it just perfect!
