  1. I wish Tam on this thread realises other people likes blowing clouds besides us..lol
  2. Cool pic! Got anymore like that??
  3. I belong to 6 different vaping forums that supports my statements above..not just this one...I respect your point of view and wish you well in your vaping journey... Cheers
  4. Yeah your right, to a point..But as one's vaping curve evolves most find bigger clouds are fun..and the bigger the cloud usually means bigger flavor too, along with the great satisfaction experiencing pure pleasure and relaxation...this comes to most everyone in time who vapes...I started vaping 2 years ago now and learned to appreciate what bigger clouds means for my vaping experience.. I truly enjoy it these days, along with countless others...[emoji108]
  5. Kanthel wire comes in different gauges.. like 27g 26g 24g, etc. The lower the gauge the thicker the wire, and lower resistance.. Higher gauge like 28g 30g 32g are thinner wires and offer higher resistance.. The first thing I do would is check the ohm limit on the batt to be used, and determine what wire/build would be safe ...I use 26g a lot but sometimes use 24g..parallel builds is two wires wrapped side by side but keep in mind it cuts resistance in half compared to a single wire wrapped the same amount of turns on the same dia bit...always use a ohm meter to check the resistance on your build and use a ohms law calculator to see what power requirement is needed..(several available online as a download ) Ohms law is always applied to be sure these builds don't exceed the amp limits on the batt being used. Safety involved in building requires a understanding of basic electronics, a working knowledge of ohms law and an accurate ohm meter... It can seem intimidating at first but in time building safely will come a lot easier, and blow clouds that have to be seen to be believed ...lol
  6. Yeah, I got a 2nd Atlantis from them and according to tracking it should be delivered here tomorrow.. I think his name is Eric..always answers my emails...
  7. If you don't me asking who did you order it from?
  8. To make the Atlantis work on my 26650 BFM with the pin-less (hybrid) top cap I had to remove the little pin from its grommet and file down the 510 connector a little to make the pin protrude about 1mm..no worries now about it possibly shorting out.. Its has a voltage drop of only .25v using the purple 26650 Efest batt rated at 32A cont/64A pulse and 3500 mAh firing the .5 ohm coil. This tank is really beginning to grow on me after getting it setup correctly...hits are cloudy and flavorful, almost as good as dripping, Almost, lol
  9. That's a start..a 18650 I like is the 35A purple Efest..it handles builds OK down to about .15 ohms..
  10. No..just like to bust out a good cloud or two now and again...lol
  11. I think I would get a mini protank maybe that has replacement (bottom fed) coils that come in a range of resistances, and comes with a pyrex glass tank.. Certain juices can crack those plastic tanks .... this happened to me when I was new to vaping and didn't know any better..but it wasn't long I dumped those plastic tanks and those away batteries that are only good for about 200 charge cycles, (and thrown away) and got a mini protank and a LavaTube with a replaceable, rechargeable, 18650 battery..it also had VV that could be set to my sweet spot for certain juices...it was my first upgrade in my never-ending vaping learning curve..about two years ago now..lol
  12. You guys don't like blowing clouds? I thought I'd see at least a few by now..lol
  13. I hear ya; but I like blowing clouds, and my builds usually run between .16 -.12 ohms.. I too get plenty of airflow on my RDA's that let's me blow clouds like these..
  14. My cousin got this one a week ago..$39 at our local B&M shop..its got a brass copper plated tube, spring switch with recessed button and copper contact..top cap batt pin is tricky to adjust for batt rattle but other than that he seems to like it...don't know about magnets..tried to fit some I had on hand but didn't even come close to fitting over the rather large diameter button post that screws onto the bottom batt contact..these were extra magnets from my BCV mods... Hope you find the right magnets as the spring is kinda "crunchy" as is. Good luck!
  15. Learn more about my favorite mechanical mods, of course... How about you? Do you own a mechanical mod? Have you ever sub- ohm vaped on one before? Did you like it? Can you post a pic of your favorite mech if you own one? Any problems with it? etc, etc...That's only some of the things we can discuss on this new mech forum, and it should give you some insight...lol
  16. My bad! Was supposed to read .60 and .62 respectively.. I edited my post to the correct readings..I do apologize...and thanks for pointing that out.
  17. Don't really understand what your saying..ohms were tested on that meter with each coil installed in the base, and the base screwed into the meter..simple actually.. didn't have to assemble the whole tank to get an ohm reading on a coil.. Besides my thread asked who has this tank and actually likes it.. obviously, I Don't Like It for reasons stated..ohms was just one of them..
  18. I got this Aspire Atlantis today and I hate it so far... Advertised as a sub ohm tank with a .5 ohm coil.. The coils (2) that came with my tank actually were .60 and .62 ohms respectively..this is important running on a mech mod because the lower the resistance the more watts (power) is produced, and thicker clouds with fuller flavor.. Well this thing was disappointing because the clouds were airy and thin and flavor was flat...was looking for something that I could use while driving and not have to drip at every stoplight..oh well, I'll probly wind up giving it to my sister..she thinks dripping is messy and not as picky as me..hell, she might actually like it. Lol
  19. The Kayfun V4 ($180) I've watched on YouTube and researched online has a bigger deck, 2 airholes 3 posts, and 4 deep juice channels all designed for dual coils and better airflow...will check one out in person at my local B&M shop when I get the time...see if this is for real...lol
  20. I used to use the 26650 MNKE batts rated 20A cont/30A pulse but now I use these purple 26650 Efest batts rated at 32A cont/64A pulse..the specs must be close for they power my low .15 ohm builds that pull 28A all day long on a single charge..I like 'um..lol
  21. http:// Voltage drop on two BFM's, with 28.5 mm Stillare and 22mm Zenith with same parallel 26g dual coil builds at .16 ohms in both, producing about 110 watts.. 1) copper BFM 4.21v without Atty 3.75 with Atty at .16 ohms = about .46v drop firing both coils 2) stainless BFM 4.2 v without Atty 3.61 with Atty at .16 ohms = about .59v drop firing both coils Both using the 26650 Efest batt rated at 32A cont /64A pulse..Both use hybrid top caps and copper/brass magnetic switches with recessed copper buttons/contacts..Just got the all copper 18650 XXIX with the same features but haven't checked actual voltage drop because it hits just as hard as its bigger brothers. All three are from Bay City Vapor, made here in Southern CA
  22. I'm not into waiting forever for that long boat ride from China to get here..
  23. I agree we need a forum and sub-forums on mechanical mods, possibly laid out something like these. They are easy to navigate and takes us to exactly the help we are looking for..just a suggestion..
