  1. Everything I have seen is that all coils are kanthal.
  2. Like Rich says above a lower ohm coil will produce more heat at a set voltage than a higher ohm coil. Watts are not constant across a range of resistances as they are a product, I think, of the relationship between resistance (Ohms) and voltage. It has to do with Ohm's Law. I get the basics of, but don't understand Ohm's Law well enough to explain it. All I can recommend to get it explained is to look up Ohm's Law on the net or wait for someone here that can actually explain it. My guess as to why we set watts on our mods is that it is actually a finer adjustment than volts.
  3. I am guessing the OP is referring to innokin and evod products. It took me about 5 min to decipher that font, it's almost impossible to read. I should have used Tam's copy and paste method, it would have been quicker.
  4. All I have heard it that this is a "Star Wars story". Any way to tell me how it fits into the story without spoilers? Is it a side story like a deeper look into what happened with Anakin and OB Wan between the death of his master and the time Anakin turned, or just some random "Star Wars" type stuff that vaguely is tied to the story?
  5. After getting a good look at it on my PC screen, I can't help. Sorry to get your hopes up. As mentioned by Tam, looks like a spinner or other variable voltage setup. I never opened one of those, just the straight up ego cells. There were only 3 wires in those, and it was very easy to see where they went.
  6. I used to repair those all the time. I'll post more detailed info when I get home from work in a few hours. I can't see the pic on my phone that well.
  7. Just some info, unless they have changed it, the istick 40 does not allow wattage changes in tc. It runs at 40 watts all the time. The only adjustment in tc is the temp
  8. Sorry to say, but cloud comps are hurting people that vape responsibly, IMO. I like a good cloud myself, but I generally use a rig and juice that don't produce clouds unless I am home. I used to smoke cigars, and could produce clouds very comparable to those pictured, granted a different technique. Vaping IMO is meant to get people away from smoking and the stigma attached to it. Most nonsmokers see vaping exactly the same as they do smoking due to the visual clouds. I can get my nic fix with barley any visual evidence, and no smell offensive to most. I vape a coffee flavor when at work as there is always a coffee maker or someone with a cup close, and make sure I am not around anyone that minds the minor cloud I make. To each their own, not judging, but had to comment.
  9. March will be 6 years for me.
  10. No pic, but just filled a tank with Killer Clove from Fadora Vapor. One of the casualties of the FDA deeming regs. My last bottle of juice from Fadora......
  11. I have had that happen too. But what gets me often is my mod for work. It sets the wattage to what it thinks is right for the coil everytime it powers up, like when you change the batt. Apparenly some engineer some whee thinks 18w is good for a 1.2 ohm coil. Just a bit hot. Gets me about once a week.
  12. Grabbed my Istick80W and Black Label juices out of the mailbox on my way to work last night. Ordered LATE Sat night from the VT Store, in my mailbox Wed! Using the Istick already, really nice so far. I will be breaking into the juice as soon as possible.
  13. Ok, thanks.
  14. Not trying to rush you, just providing more info: Have not fired up the laptop (third device) since the other day. While at home, lousy weather didn't go out this weekend, I have to re-login in on my desktop and phone each time i switch between the 2. I did turn off the wifi on my phone and log in a couple times turning wifi on after logging in, but each time I did, the desktop was logged out next time I checked. When I went to work today, I left myself logged in on my desktop, and logged in on my phone at work. Still logged in on my desktop when I got home. Have not checked the site on my phone yet though. I know that in the past I can check the site from either my desktop or phone at home as long as I am already logged in, and don't use the laptop.
  15. I used the Nautilus mini regularly, almost exclusively for quite a while, and still use it on occasion. My wife and I notice no difference between the 1.6 and 1.8 ohm coils, I buy either. If you are primarily a DL person, you probably won't be very happy with one. with the airflow all the way open, there is just about.....almost..... enough flow to do DL. It can be done, but there is too little airflow for me. MTL, though is very good. I have run 50/50 juices all the way to 70VG/30PG. For me chain vaping on breaks at work the thicker juices don't always wick fast enough, I usually stick with 50/50. My wife who never chain vapes and has a very shallow MTL style has no issues with the 70VG/30PG juices. I believe from what I have read here the the coils from the triton mini also fit and they have a greater selection of ohm ratings. I'm sure someone will chime in and correct me if I have the wrong tank that shares coils.
  16. I was on my home network last time it happened. I don't recall if I was on other occasions it happened.
  17. I generally keep myself logged in to the site on my desktop and my phone, both using Firefox. Normally there is no issue, I click my link on either and check the new posts. On occasion, I fire up my laptop I got while attending college between jobs a few years ago because the wife or daughter is on the desktop. When I do that and visit VT, I am logged out on my desktop and phone, and I have to put in my user name and password every visit on both the phone and desktop for several weeks afterwards. If it was a one time thing I would think nothing of it, but it goes on for weeks. I am on day 5 since I last used my laptop, also running Firefox (first time in several months), and have to reenter my credentials every time I switch between my phone and the desktop to log in. As long as I do not log into this site on my laptop for several weeks I no longer have to re-authenticate every visit on both the desktop and phone. No other site I frequent has this issue. Any help appreciated.
  18. My regular rigs are a subtank plus on Istick50 and a subtank mini on an Athena Envy. I also have 4 more subtank minis, 3 Nautilus minis, a Freemax Starre, 2 subboxes, a IPV4S, istick30, istick40, Smoant Knight, Tesla Stealth and a Kangside Luxury Box. They all get rotated in and out between my wife and I semi-regularly.
  19. Maybe, it does look like a subforum at first glance, maybe a small banner for the store at the top of the page would help? Right next to the main vaportalk banner that takes you to the forum man page, there is plenty of room.
  20. Put the store link under or above the "VaporTalk Store talk" forum? Ahh, should have looked before I posted, it's there........
  21. Sounds like a glitch in the "flood control".
  22. The Istick can run a .3 coil with no trouble, I regularly run.25 coils in my Starre with my iStick50.
  23. Thanks for the info, I'll look into it, but I'm going to be hard pressed to spend that much on a mod. And I agree with you on the TC.
  24. I got a percocette script when I had mine out. Not a bit of pain........that I can remember......
  25. I gotta ask. What makes this worth $200? That's a lotta coin for a mod with features similar to much lower priced mods. I have no issues with paying a premium price for a premium product, but this looks like an average product with a premium price. I am truly asking and not trying to offend with my question.
