  1. Just got another subtank mini to replace the one I loaned my cousin, doesn't look like I'll be getting it back any time soon, but at least she's staying off the analogs. Of all the driptips I have only the one of my ego one mega will fit and it's tight. Guess I will have to find some place that sells the KPT tips or make one. Or maybe hit up leadpipe, I'm only a few hours from him, and have to go to Allentown for work occasionally.
  2. I have been vaping since March of 2009, and have been contemplating this issue as well. I recently quit buying 12mg juice for my non-subohm tank, and using the 3mg and 4mg juice for the subs in the regular tank. I use a Nautilus mini on a VTR all day at work, 1.6ohm coil. The first couple days saw the juice go quick, but I returned to normal juice volume pretty quickly. My next order I may get 2mg and see how that goes. I have to admit, not having the worry of having batts and juice with me every time I leave the house seems nice. Having to check and be sure all the stuff is there is starting to remind me of checking the cig pack to see if I had enough for the day at work, or for the night at home. A couple weeks ago, when I left all my spare coils at home when I went out of town was way more stressful than it should have been. I enjoy vapng still, but lately it is seeming to be the same monkey on my back that cigs were, and I am not sure I want to be carrying it around any more. My biggest fear is that cigs are so easy to get, and I definitely don't want to go back to them. I'm sure I'll be carrying the VTR around with me for quite a while, even if it's just there to prevent a cig purchase.
  3. Local B&M uses a 50/50 mix of vinegar and whitchhazel to clean the cases. Going to try it in my truck soon.
  4. Hhhhhmm..... All the tips from my other tanks are just slightly to big to fit in the subtank, not by much but even a little "persuasion" won't get them in there. I'll have to open the hole in the top of the subtank a bit so they will fit I guess.
  5. I recently got my wife a subtank mini, she really like it except for the drip tip, it's too wide for her. I tried swapping it out with tips from my Nautilus mini and ego one mega, but they don't fit into the top of the tank. Any one know of a smaller diameter drip tip for the subtank? I don't have access to a lathe any more or I would just make one.
  6. Sorry in advance, but have to say it....... Why did you eat it frozen? No microwave? They are much easier to eat warmed up.......
  7. The local B&M is getting a shipment of these soon, and I am considering one. I have been following the other thread with the issues, but my interest is piqued with the top fill, and that one of the guys at the B&M has had one a while and likes it. As an aside, I have to say the B&M has employees that are very knowledgeable and even push customers away from stocked products they have found unlikable.
  8. I am currently running nothing but Efest Batts. They have had quite a bit of negative reviews, I think due to counterfeiting, but I have never had a problem with them. I buy from the local B&m, Battery Junction and from sellers on Amazon with good reviews. I have run them in a DPV65 by Smowell, an IPV4s, a subox kit and a VTR. The IPV4s mostly in temp control mode. Never had an issue. Most of them are the 2500MaH 20/35A. I currently have a pair in the IPV4s set at 60J 515F, they don't get anywhere near warm and I have a tendency to chain vape. I have 3 pair in rotation for the IPV, and 4 singles for the VTR and subox. The DPV is mostly ignored at this time, and the subox has been loaned to a friend who needs a bit of help, with 1 of the 4 batts from the rotation. Not saying I am right, but I have had no issues. I think getting them from a reputable seller is the key.
  9. Well I guess I learned the hard way not to assume that different devices are equal. Fried the wick in the Starre tank. Guess I had a few too many beers last night, didn't even notice the burnt taste until this morning. Another casualty of being on vacation from work for the week.....
  10. I saw a "Don't Drip and Drive" bumper sticker a few months ago.......
  11. Just curious of the results of others of the settings from device to device. I just tonight took my Starre tank off my iStick 50 watt and put it on my IPV4s (Changing to watts versus temp control). On the iStick, I have run it (Starre tank) up to the max 50 watts and had a decent, although hotter vape than I like. When I put the tank on my IPV4s, 35 watts was as high as I could go with out getting a harsh (almost burnt) vape. I have run the Stick to 50 watts and not gotten a "bad" vape, but the same tank, coil and juice on a different mod was way different, bordering on bad at the "same" setting. I am curious if anyone else has had similar results. In another thread, I proposed that the only reason watts (or any scale) was use was to allow comparisons from devise to devise (mos to mod). Looking for input on similar situations.
  12. Starre tank .25ohm coil, 40 watts. Got about 5 hrs or so today at outdoor wedding reception. 2 tanks of juice. Just cut from 8mg to 4mg juice, I think I may start mixing 4 and 8 to get 6. I went through almost 20mL of juice today, kicked the IStick and the battery meter in the IPV4s is showing 1/2, both were fully charged when I left the house. Edit, 3 tanks, I refilled twice at the reception.
  13. Good points, I have the iStick 50 watt too, it is a solid unit as well. I suggested the subox (meaning the kit) as it comes with both the .5 and the 1.2 ohm coils, plus the build deck. I prefer the subox when not at home as I can carry a couple extra 18650s. The iStick only lasts me a few hours with a .25 coil running at 40 watts or so. I have found I like certain tanks on each mod, and didn't think of mixing. Kind of set in my ways, lol.
  14. The subox mini is a good choice. I have had mine for about a month and it has become my everyday rig.
  15. It may be easier/faster to write the code for temp control using Joules? IMO, the best way to give us the control is a generic scale with no labels. Kind of like they do with the volume on TVs and radios. Imagine the confusion if they set that up with the decibel scale. The only plus side is that with a labeled scale you can compare device to device. It's easy with volume, if it hurts it's too loud. And back to the original topic. With Ohm's Law is it possible that the chip is calculating battery voltage and coil resistance, and deciding that the batts will be drawing over a preset amp value, giving the warning? For example, I have read that the VTR is internally limited to 5 watts? (may or may not be true, just read it somewhere.)I haven't put any numbers into the formula to check, just a thought.
  16. Be careful, it doesn't like to sit in the fridge. Mine kept jumping out and into my hand and were mysteriously open every time. Good thing it was a Friday night.
  17. Ahh, don't get coffee out much, and hardly ever at Starbucks, too expensive. Not just expensive at Starbucks, it's everywhere. I can make coffee at home for a couple weeks on 3 bucks. Besides, most places don't make it strong enough.
  18. OK, I gotta ask. What's a venti?
  19. link If I am reading corretly, joules= watts. Don't know why all my text is part of the link.
  20. Ego starter kit, 2 650mAh batts. No tank on it. Had the screw on atomizer and you put 8-10 drops of fluid in the cotton that was in the tip.
  21. Earthling, they still have Ski in KY? I spent a bit of time in the Campbelsville area 15-20 years ago, that stuff was better than Mtn Dew.
  22. I miss the days of no payments.... Frame rotted out of my 99F250 last summer, gotta love all the salt in the winter up here. The 08 I replaced it with will be paid off way sooner than the bank would like.
  23. I am running the ego one at 40J and 425F with the .21 nickel coil. 70vg/30pg juice.
  24. Yup, some of Mr.Labatt's finest.
  25. Got some pork chops on the grill now, too lazy to take a pic........oops gotta get another barley pop too.....
