That's not entirely true vivi nova's can come in plastic, ss and plastic, ss and Pyrex, or solid aluminum tanks. They usually run about half the price or less of a protank and the coils are about .50 to $1 cheaper per coil than protank or nautilus coils. I got mine for $6 plus a case of coils for $20. That's 10 boxes. That's less than what I spent on my first few t3s and evod tanks. Like I said I know I can pick up any of the stock style tanks, I was just hoping someone else might know of a place with all Pyrex tanks. I personally prefer top coil tanks.

Anyone know what happened to hangsen's Indian tobacco? It's my go to for tobacco and I'm running out. I went to go buy some more and I can't seem to find it anywhere.

Anybody know if there are all Pyrex tanks available anywhere for the vision vivi nova? My plastic one has a hairline crack starting on the outside. I know I can get a stock metal and Pyrex tank but I'd prefer an all Pyrex one. I like the way I can see all of the inside with the plastic and don't want to lose that.

I've noticed that but from what I understand of the issue PayPal doesn't care about hardware just e-liquid. Even 0 nic isn't aloud. I don't understand really, I can buy nicorette but not e-liquid?

Im right there with you Comp. Although I do like peppermint mocha or mint chocolate chip. I can't vape those to often though as the cat tries to steal my device, last time I almost had to get stitches :P

So I found a corsair on sale and decided to buy it, hopefully it'll get here before Christmas. Anyone else have one? I want to get some magnets to replace the spring and need to know what size?

All of my first setup was second hand stuff, I got a volcano magma and half a bottle of their tobacco flavor from my brother and that same afternoon my mom handed me a half empty bottle of their kona

I don't have a need for 100w. I almost never vape below .8ohms. Honestly I don't go beyond 12-15w after that it gets too hot for me. Yeah, usb pass through boards usually go for what I paid for both. The vamo boards go for about $15.

Found a gem on eBay, got a authentic vamo v5 board and passthrough charger for 10.50 with free shipping.

You can use baking soda and water mixed to about the consistency of toothpaste. I usually use an old toothbrush but you can use the brillow pad side of one of those green and yellow sponges. It won't harm your copper and if there's any corrosion it should take it right off. I don't know if they still do but that's what they used to use to clean the statue of liberty.

Yeah. I know failures don't always happen and can even be rare with higher quality parts but it's worth the extra little bit of time to avoid an E.R. trip.

That's why from a safety perspective I feel like we should be teaching newbies to test parts before using them. It's really not hard to build a test box or safety cage. I had a buddy loose use of an eye for a little while a few years ago from a faulty capacitor that exploded. In quite a few of the hackerspace communities I'm a part of they have guides to setting up test benches and what safety precautions you should take with which parts.

It's not that I don't like eBay I just hate sifting through 20 tons of crap to find authentic pieces. EBay still doesn't have tags and specific categories for apv's and mods
-
I don't think that most people stop and think about the fact that 99% of the time the part you're using hasn't been tested. Most companies do batch testing, which means only about two out of 2000+ built get tested.

Anybody know of any suppliers that use PayPal checkout on their sites? I've got some money sitting in my account that I want to use and I really don't want to go through eBay or Amazon.
-
Exactly. it wouldn't have mattered if I bought the highest rated most expensive part I could find, I still would have put it on the test box first.
-
Not all of their stuff is junk. It's hit or miss sometimes, they don't always have brands I know. They have always been good to me though. if it's a part that costs more than $15 thats faulty they always give me a store credit and send the bad one back to the manufacturer.

I'd have to scrape off the liquid pvc but that isn't a big deal to me. If I had made it for someone else I probably would have made it easier to get to. For what it is though I'm happy with it.

Got a bottle of both The Zepplin and Hippy Sherbert sent to me by a buddy of mine up in new york. This stuff is awesome. The Zepplin is hands down the best cinnamon roll flavor I've tried yet. Hippy Sherbert is a good vape, spot on rainbow sherbert although a little to sweet for my taste to be an all day vape (I still prefer tobacco or Black coffee lol). Check 'em out though https://www.facebook.com/pages/Hippy-Sauce/1521721558075176?sk=timeline&ref=page_internal I'll definately be putting an order in here soon. The flavors they have currently are: Sweet Hawaian Bread Peanutbutter Icecream Pineapple Custard Strawberry Milk Hippy Sherbert and The Zepplin I also thought I'd mention they are giving away three bottles here: https://www.facebook.com/vape4vets

I had some spare parts laying around and the old shift knob from my truck just sitting here so just because I was bored. It's a E-go chip with an evod 1600mah battery. I need to clean it up and put some final touches on it after the liquid pvc dries but it vapes great.

I got mine from the local hacker space/ hobby shop. It's a switch that was supposed to be rated up to 32v and 40 amps. Here's the similar one online http://www.delcity.net/store/Engine-Start-Switch/p_798479. I can't tell you Specifically what brand as the PN doesn't pull anything up on google and it was just in a plastic baggy.

That's why I have the test box. All I have to do is pop the lid up and no more battery connection. You never know with this stuff and even when it's from a quality vendor you can still get a dud. In my case I suspect that they either used cheap materials that melted or soldered the connections with low quality solder. Either way I'm glad I tested it. If that had happened inside my metal box I'm building it would have ended badly. all in all I'd rather have a workshop that smells like burnt plastic than end up in the er

So I know this kind of thing gets said a whole lot around here but I figured I'd give an example. For those of you looking to build your own mods use quality parts and don't trust that the manufacturers specs are correct. I have a test box I built out of a plastic cigarette case specifically for test firing different parts. I bought what was supposed to be a 40 amp switch and test fired it last night. Things didn't go as well as I hoped but it did give me an opportunity to hopefully teach people something. This is what can happen when you use faulty or cheap parts. It melted all the casings on the wires and the switch smoked. That was using a 15 amp battery pressing the switch maybe 2 or 3 seconds. Now imagine what would have happened if I had used that switch in my mod with the 35 amp battery I wanted to.

EMOWmega.. bad quality control or me doing something wrong?

No problem, I used to get frustrated about dry hits until a buddy of mine who runs a b&m over in nc gave me the same tips. -

I haven't seen the emow stuff up close but with most kanger tanks there's a pretty simple fix for dry hits. Cover the air holes in the base and take 2 hard puffs on it without hitting the fire button, it pulls fluid back into the wick and coil. I had that problem with my t3s and evod tanks, I chain vape almost as bad as I used to chain smoke. I used to smoke 2 1/2 to 3 packs a day for almost 10 years. Should help some. Setting your emow down at a slight angle like 60° to 70° should also help keep the wick wet. Don't let your fluid get too low either.
