  1. Well, I went to my local B&M for some advice on my problem. Again, I've only been vaping for about 3 months, never dripped. Looks like the 0.5 Ohm head did have a short. They pulled it apart and there was an obvious arc mark on the bottom isolator. I did manage to fry the 1.2 Ohm head and that was totally my fault. The sales person showed me how to wrap a coil for the RDA portion of the Kanger and got me going. As I assumed it's pretty easy and straight forward but I'm a hands on guy and like to see some things done before I do them. The flavor is really good, the tank is huge. After I get a set of replacement heads I'll try it and compare it to the Atlantis.
  2. I used to live in Glenn Rose. Halfway between Stephenville and Cleburne. Yes I helped build Comanche Peak Steam Electric Station.
  3. "work" is such a subjective term..... Yeah it worked, mod showed the proper resistance. Then I fired the crap out of the cotton, dry hits from lack of wicking.
  4. I examined the 0.5 and the 1.2 and I see no noticable difference between the two. The center pin is spring loaded.
  5. When I check the coil itself, it's 0.5-0.6, the same when screwed into the base. I get no reading when attached to the mod, just 'Low resistance' which is reading below 0.15.
  6. Enjoy it while you can, mine is 19 and living on his own, too busy for family now. They grow up fast!
  7. Yeah well this blows, I will say one thing for aspire, all of their coils have read what they claim they are supposed to be.
  8. Well Comp it doesn't surprise me that the coils on the rebuildable deck were weak. I put my Fluke on the premade coil that's suppose to be 0.5 Ohms and it is 0.5-0.6 so I'm not sure why my box doesn't like it? There has to be a short in it.
  9. Well I got my Kanger subtank today and so far it's a big box of NOPE! First of all the 0.5 Ohm coil isn't 0.5, My Sigelei registers it as "Low Resistance". I'll go get my Fluke out of the truck when it stops raining. The 1.2 Ohm coil will NOT wick properly and I have already burnt the **** out of the cotton despite soaking it. Last but not least. I tried to do a burn in on the RDA deck with the prebuilt coils and they popped at 15 watts. All in all a bad experience thus far. The tank is huge however but useless at this point so to the net to search for coils
  10. Really guys? Diaper talk? I'm glad those days are gone . Though I would gladly go back to the days when I was teaching my Son how to ride a bike.
  11. Still not as airy as my Atlantis but I don't feel like I'm trying to suck a watermelon through a straw....my wife can but that's a topic for another forum
  12. My advice is drill at a high speed but with restraint. Once the base opens up it penetrates quickly, at least on my bits. Also, if you notice the ring that rotates around the air hole settings kind of floats up and down a wee bit. Make sure you hold it in the down position toward the base pin so you don't bore a hole too close to the edge of the ring.
  13. After using the Atlantis I found it impossible to go back to my Nautilus. So last night I grabbed a 1/8 drill bit and bored out the smallest setting and it is useful once again. Before that the stock 1.6 Ohm coil was about a 14 Watt max tank for me. Now 18 Watts and no burn and better flavor.
  14. If you want to drip but don't want to wrap and test your own coils you can get them prebuilt to whatever ohm rating you want from eBay but MAKE SURE you check their feedback. There are plenty of builders that are in the US.
  15. Merry Christmas to me.... Some new batteries 5 pack of Coils for my Atlantis New EVOD for the wife New charger, yeah no more timing batteries Some PBFB, Chocolate Malt and Birthday Cake from Fadora And something called Harley Quinn from my local B/M (buttery on the intake, Strawberry on the exhale. literally tastes like Ooops All Berries, Captian Crunch)
  16. Mine measures 0.5 ohms. I like mine but I'm not using a mech.
  17. Well no one in my area has the Kanger Sub nor will they be getting it anytime soon. So I ordered it online, should be here Wednesday
  18. Well it's certainly cheaper than $5-$11@ for cigars.
  19. Think I'll hit my vape shop tomorrow and see if they have the Kanger Sub yet.
  20. Please let us know how it goes.
  21. Well you and I have discussed this. Maybe the problem isn't 90%+ VG, maybe it's the tank. I have a Nautilus but I can't get it above 12watts without scorching my juice. Also I have become spoiled on the air flow of the Aspire. I have no other sub ohm tanks to compare it to though.
