How much do I really need to spend for a Mech mod
copper replied to radnate's topic in Mechanical Mods
Just call 1-800-HELPME-CHINA. Ask for the customer service department. -
Those are the purple Efest 18650 2500 mAh right? If so, those should more appropriately be called 20 Amp. The continuous discharge is 20A, max discharge is 35A. I think the purple Efest are decent batteries. I generally prefer Sony, Samsung, Orbtronic, or MNKE, but I have some 18650 and 26650 Efest and they have been good batteries.

The best luck I have had with similar situations is to use both hot and cold water (or ice) to independently heat and cool the two part that stuck. I know that may not be easy, but do the best you can. Assuming that one part is male and the other is female, heat the female part while cooling the male. This causes the male part to shrink slightly and the female to expand, thus loosening the connection. If all else fails, check the phone book for a machine shop nearby. They will have it off in no time. HTH

Finally decided to organize My DIY Flavor Bottles
copper replied to Sonar505's topic in DIY e Liquid Discussion
Nice job with the organization, but honestly, if I had that many flavors, my mind would explode every time I go to make a new juice. -
Later this month, NJoy will be releasing a line of juices called the NJoy Artist Collection. Five new juices designed by some of the industries top flavorists. Pbusardo has a new video up with an interview with a guy from NJoy about these.

I certainly agree with this. I am constantly scrolling back to the top just to get to the "New Content" button. In fact, I am about to do it again right now.

There one thing to be aware of. Some devices require button top batteries in order to provide reverse battery protection. If the V5 requires button top batteries, you need to make sure any new batteries are that design.
-
By fast discharge I assume you mean high drain batteries. Generally those are needed by any device which will produce a wide range of power from a 18650 or 26650 battery. The V5 is similar to the Provari in that it has a rather small wattage range of 5-15 watts and does not need a particularly beefy battery. Something like a 10A AW IMR will work fine. However, the high drain batteries like Sony VTC4 and VTC5 will also work fine and can be a good investment so you are not buying all new batteries if you buy one of those new higher power devices. There are also many regulated devices which are easily capable of running RDAs, RBAs, and RTAs.

What would you recommend to a new vaper?
copper replied to TheRealKaty's topic in General Vaping Discussion
"Recommend a new vaper" and "recommend yourself" are two different things. I can't recommend anything to a new vapor without knowing their lifestyle, how they will use the device, and what aspects of vaping are important to them. I can tell you, as far as myself, the best money I ever spent on vaping products were a Provari and Aspire Nautilus. In many years of vaping, nothing else compares when it comes to no-hassle dependable performance. -
There is no such thing. Vaping is an alternative, not a replacement. If you want to be happy vaping, give up the notion of finding something that tastes like a cigarette and explore other flavors you enjoy.

Survey! We'd like your feedback :)
copper replied to Christopher's topic in General Vaping Discussion
I voted YES. -
Please NO. Light text on dark is the worst. I ilke it the way it is.

I heard the release date is Nov 17. That info should be on the Provape.com site. In the past, Provari has always used exclusively AW IMR button-top batteries. I am not sure if that changes with the P3. By the way, if you have a local Provari dealer, they have them now.

I don't understand what you are saying here. Your father quit smoking a month ago without vaping and now you think he should start vaping? Sounds like he is already over the hump and there is no need for vaping unless he is still struggling.

They look pretty interesting but I don't like devices that require USB charging. I have one and it seems like I always need a charge when I don't have one available. I know a lot of folks like the USB devices but I gotta stick with batteries.

Another thing to know is that there is a huge variety of RDAs on the market. While they all appear similar, they are often radically different and each has its benefits, disadvantage, and sometimes flaws. Some are designed specifically for cloud chasing while others are designed for the flavor junkies. When starting out, many find it attractive to buy a clone so you can experiment without breaking the bank. But be careful, the same RDA can be cloned by a number of different companies; some good, some not so good. If you have a local B&M, you might find it helpful to do some window shopping and get an idea of the wide variety of designs and styles. In particular, you may want to pay particular attention to adjustable air flow, depth of the juice well, and convenience and layout of the build deck. Once you have done your research and have some idea of where you are headed, come back for some more concrete advice before spending your hard-earned dollars. HTH

Aspire Atlantis...This looks interesting!
copper replied to jasonculp's topic in Share the Latest Vaping Products
I really like what Aspire is doing lately. I have had flawless performance out of there Nautilus and mini that I use daily. I will definitely pick an Atlantis up as soon as my B&M has them in stock. -
I would rather take the attitude of live and let live rather than assume that anything someone else does that I do not like is somehow an attack on my personal freedoms.

There is a Facebook Group for DNA 40 support called "DNA-TP User Group". Anyone interested in the DNA 40 should check this out before ordering a board or a device.
