Everyone with a smoker banner please post here :)
GeorgeF replied to Christopher's topic in Website Feedback & Bug Reporting
Hey the banners are back! Thanks Chris for your effort to fix the issue. -
Just made it 3001.
-
Congratulations ! I am almost at 6 months Can't wait to be where you are.

I believe all of you just made my brain do a somersault. I use Koga cotton pads from my local B&M. I ordered some KGD from Sweet-Vapes about 3 weeks ago because I was about half way thru my cotton I had on hand. Very Comp-rehensive test. Thanks Comp for being so thorough with testing. PBursado's test was simple and easy. Can't wait to see the final results.

IPV-mini 2 (70W) coming soon
GeorgeF replied to Earthling789's topic in Share the Latest Vaping Products
Well I was going to jump at the 30w version, but Earthling just spent my money more wisely. I think I will hold out and save just a bit more and pick-up the 70w version. Wanted a box style that was lower wattage than my Sigelei 100w. In lower I mean one that will go below 10w for my smaller tanks and 5-70w fits the bill. -
Any word on the fix? I miss my banner

These batterys are frustrating me
GeorgeF replied to wastedpolabear's topic in General Vaping Discussion
The output of that charger is under .5 amps. It would be a slow trickle charge. I have a four bay charger (Efest Luc 4 bay) that has a button that allows you to select the charging amps. .5, 1 and 2 amps. I have it set to .5 and it takes my Samsung 25r's about 3 hours to fully charge from about 3.5v to 4.2v. I have seen pretty good things about the MXJO batteries. My local B&M just started carrying them. I still like the trusted brand names of Sony and Samsung. I agree with others. Look into a better charger. Efest Luc, Nitecore -
Bump when you get something in vape mail.

Let see what was in the mailbox today? A sample pack from Fadora, PBFB, Home Canned Peaches, Strawberry Waffles and Banana Nut Bread. Also, a sample of Coffee w/cream&sugar. Can't wait to get into those. -
Device Compatibility With Batteries of Various mAh

Exactly what Earthling said^^^ -
Welcome to VT. Biggest thing is don't give up. If one setup doesn't work for you, try something else. Different tank, flavor of juice, things of that nature. Stick with it and you will be on your way to smoke free and vape happy. Five months ago I started an haven't looked back. And Tam will back me up, you can't have too many back-ups and back-ups for those. The money you save from not smoking offsets the vaping budget.

Cali Declares Ecigs a Health Threat

Because Tam some of us like to get a charge out of life in the summer! -
The Nautilus comes with a BDC (bottom dual coil). The Nautilus Mini comes with BVC (bottom vertical coil). You can swap either coil in either tank. The BVC does give better flavor, IMHO. I run 1.6 ohm at about 9.5w-10w using 50/50 blends.

Check the Kangside http://www.esmoke-ksd.com/cp_view.asp?id=192 web site. You may have a clone. Their website only has 3 units pictured. Stainless polished, stainless brushed and what looks like gun metal. the only markings on it are 20W/Vamo. They are VW only devices. Their website even lists copycat sellers. FastTech being one of them.
-
The V7 is the latest one they have released. I have the V5 and V6. My V5 acted up shortly after I started using it. The left button lost it's clicking. But, both are very good units still. They are 22mm devices and any 22mm tank or atomizer fit perfectly. I have the Nautilus and EHPro Kayfun V4 tanks. With either of these tanks, the unit in 18650 mode is very long. All Vamo units are the same size, 22mm X 140mm or 5.5" long. With any tank they are long. 8.5" from base to top of driptip with the Kayfun. 8.25" with the Nautilus Mini and 8.5" with the Nautilus. Hope this gives you the answer your looking for. I don't know the dimensions of the Kanger Tanks other than the width of each, because I don't own one, yet.

Not sure about mine? Nope just link. -
^^^I have noticed this with mine as well. Tightened down the juice flow control to full open and a bit more and it stabilized. I have rebuilt my coil to 1.2 ohms using the info from Steam Engine and depending on which mod it's on it reads anywhere from .9 to 1.2 ohms. I stretched the spring a bit and that seems to help.

Can't have enough back-ups for your back-ups.

Welcome Peg, Not sure about the iClear but I have used Kanger T2, EVOD,EVOD Glass, Aerotank, Aspire K1, Nautilus, Nautilus mini. All of which I have laid on their sides as well as left upright with no ill effects. All but the T2 are bottom coil design, the T2 has the coil on top with long wicks that go to the bottom. As long as they have O-rings that seal them it should not leak if laid over.

Here it is wicked

EhPro Kayfun V4 with a chimney coil. Idea stolen from Rip Trippers. Basically turned my Kayfun into a Nautilus. 28g/9 wrap/1.4 ohm. Handles 15w without a dry hit using 50/50 Poet Dolce Miele Creama. Not huge clouds, but talk about flavor.

Cool, thanks for the info, I checked that site out when I looked at the other thread. When I was looking afew days ago, they had it for 24.95 plus shipping, which was equal to the 30 with free shipping. So you didn't get to bad a deal. I think it will be ordered this morning,
-
Earthling, which vendor did you order it from? I have the EHPro clone that i got from sweet-vapes and the glass has fine chips on the outside edges. Also, it did not come with instructions or extra spring. I have built it three times and like it a lot, but I am looking at getting a second clone of the kayfun v4. I will post pictures of the vertical coil I put in mine that is in it now, once I can figure out how to post them from my phone. .

One suggestion I would recommend, get a grasp of ohm's law before rebuilding. This will help keep things ultra safe and get your head wrapped around what you are asking. If you just jump in without an understanding of ohm's law, drastic things could happen. Lower resistance= Higher power draw. i.e. .5 ohms @ 4.2v = 8.4amp and 35watts and 1.2ohms @ 4.2v= 3.5amp and 14.7watts. Being 4.2v is your battery at full charge. That however does not remain constant in a mech mod. Another thing you have to keep in mind is the battery's constant discharge amperage. If your battery for example is rated at 10A constant discharge amperage your pretty close with the first example above. But if it is rated say at 20A then it would be safer.

Mr. Smith, Looks good. I got the EHPro version. Haven't taken pictures yet. Still trying to figure out a build for great flavor. Currently have a single coil 1.5 ohm 28ga. 10ish wrap.

Good battery for an Aspire Atlantis and Nautilus
GeorgeF replied to ineedagoodvaper's topic in General Vaping Discussion
Look around at different online shops. Sweet-Vapes has good prices on hardware. Fast order processing and good customer service. They are listed in the vendor sub forms. Depends on if you want a tube style or a box style mod. Most electronic mods have protection built in. As said above, check out reviews and get informed as to what each unit can do and what you want to get out of it. Best decisions are informed decision. A couple of good reviewers are: Phil Busardo and Dimitris
