^^^ditto^^^. Even if it is a regulated mod. Too low an AMP rating can and will lead to problems. Best case the battery vents. Worst case it will explode like an M-80 on Fourth of July. Cool explosion with catastrophic results! The best advice you can give him until he understands what he is doing, Tell him to learn ohms law and fully understand what it means. Batteries that are not rated for the kind of current that can be drawn from using such a low build can and will blow up. Example .12 @ 4.2v= 35 AMPS. 4.2v is the max fully charged voltage that these batteries can produce. No battery I know of can withstand that kind of current draw. The batteries you mentioned are rated at 20A continuous load to the best of my knowledge. .33 ohms @ 4.2v= 12.73 AMPS. Edit: forgot to mention. If these warnings are heeded, it will just be natural selection

Thanks again Earthling. I just washed it with dish soap(only one drop), toothbrush and an ultrasonic cleaner. Just starting to put all back together now. Man is it shiny clean now.

CoilMaster 5-in-1 coil winding tool
GeorgeF replied to Earthling789's topic in Share the Latest Vaping Products
Good job Tug. The long piece of kanthal reminded me of a pain in the a$$ cat that just keeps knocking things over on a desk. LOL Very nice to see how this actually works. -
Thanks fishguy and Earthling. I will do that tonight. Should I remove the 510 pin, positive side of the build deck and the insulator to clean those all separate? Or just leave the complete build deck together and wash it as one unit?

yes definitely worth the 35 bucks. But I would use cash or credit, 35 Bucks will cost a small fortune to ship as payment. Not to mention, they might not like venison. Now knowing how well their product is, I may just have to stash something more aside to get the matching mechanical mod.

If you try to talk while exhaling it does happen. I have heard it and felt it. Talking with vapor is different than when I used to smoke and talk. The only thing I can attribute to it, vapor is thicker than cigarette smoke.
-
That is correct. Fixed 2.4mm air holes. 2 of them. A bit of a tight draw but you can still take a good lung hit.

There is an Aerotank mini that is also available. Unless of course your looking for more juice capacity. Also, for your battery upgrade might I suggest an iStick 50w by eLeaf. you don't have to use its full potential but the thing lasts for days on a full charge at low wattage settings. I get about 2 days on mine at 12w. Probably even more at a lower wattage.

Bump when you get something in vape mail.

Check out my review in the rebuildble sub forum. -
gag8tor has asked about the Tugboat V1 atty, so here is my review thus far. If shinnyitis hasn't grabbed you yet this polished Tugboat will change all that. The polish is just as the mfg. name implies, Flawless. The logo is laser etched into it, as well as an American flag on the opposite side. The atty measures approx. 22mm. The fit between the build deck and top cap is tight. Top cap is 26.60mm tall. The overall height from the base of the 510 pin to the top of the drip tip is 50.7mm. The build deck is well machined. The negative posts are machined into the deck the positive post is screwed on with insulators in the appropriate locations. The juice well is fairly deep, 4.5mm. As you can see the screws are nice and big. Post holes are good size. Positive post has 2/ 25ga. wires tucked in it. The post holes are a bit below the top of the juice well. This makes getting the wires in a big of a challenge, but as you can see not terribly difficult. Easy enough a cave man can do it. The build I used is a dual coil 25ga. 10 wraps on a 2.4mm screwdriver. It rang in at .5 ohms. I am currently running it on my Sigelei 100w box at 45w. Plenty of room to put a fair amount of cotton in the juice well, this translates to not having to drip as often as my IGO-W. I used Vapowire 25ga. A1 Kanthal for this build.

Personally I have only built horizontal coils, but tried one vertical coil in my kayfun v4. I wasn't impressed, probably because I didn't have the patience to fiddle with it to get it set up properly. Now as far as pre-built factory coils without having to build my own, nothing beats the Nautilus vertical coils, IMHO.

So fishguy, did you have to scrub the crap out of your to get the juices to taste right? I washed mine and built a 1.3 ohm coil just after it arrived. I run it at about 12w and have even tried going down a bit to 10w and even 9w and every juice I have tried, that I know is a great flavor, seems to be off a bit. Not sure if it is machining oil still left behind or that I should have taken every piece, that could be taken apart, apart. Strip the whole thing apart and clean the crap out of it?

Thanks gag8tor

Right lane. Everyone that has ever rode a bus knows bus drivers don't hesitate.

Vapowire 25ga.
-
Thanks. 25 ga. is easy to work with especially on a 2.4mm screwdriver.

Tugboat v1.2 / 25ga., 10 wrap dual coil, .5 ohm. Here it is wicked up.

I have watched this news report several times and every time that I do I think, "Boy that firefighter that is being interviewed sound very dumb.". This gives the impression that everyone in CA is stupid, not that I believe that to be the case. Looking at the story the facts are flawed if none present at all, except that a mod blew up. I sent a message to the news station that reported it about my frustration that they can't report on something without knowing about what they are reporting on. It really infuriates me that the news does this all the time. In the message I sent I tried to inform them about youtube and all the great reviewer that have good knowledge. The fact that is was not a e-mod-cigarette, but a personal vaporizer. That you cannot smoke one. There is no combustion happening and everything that we already know and understand about our devices. My rant to them was more in the lines of educate yourself before you embarrass yourself.

Acrylic tanks and juice flavors
GeorgeF replied to GeorgeF's topic in Tanks, Clearomizers & Drop in Coils
Thanks Tam. I couldn't remember what the other two were. -
I know glass tanks are great for all juice flavors. What flavors should be avoided in acrylic tanks? I do remember reading somewhere citrus flavors are a no no. What about banana?
