Well, I am not very knowledgable in this area, but the FDA doesn't have control over regular cigarettes do they??

Now, wait a minute-is the nicotine in the liquid extracted from tobaco plants or synthesized in a lab? If it is a natural extract than the laws that govern tobaco would be the laws that govern e-cigs. Anyone know? This may be a way around the "drug" vs. a natural extract-which btw as a maker of personal body products using all natural ingredients-they are desperately trying to control "natural" ingredients as well-but right now, they only have the right to dictate labeling. If it is extracted from a natural plant-then it is merely "liquid tobaco" and that is a gray area in which at this time they do not control. Gel caps are not considered a drug delivery system for St. John's wart or Acai or any of the other "natrual" healing (or not) extracts. If you can extract the nicotine from the plant-it is an extract and not any more of a drug than a cigarette in which the Alcohol, Tobaco guys would be in charge (not necessarily better)

girldragon replied to kitsune's topic in General Vaping Discussion

It's good0love the music-gives me chills of inspiration -
Oh good info-see it's these little things that we may not think of. I don't believe I have discussed the liquid with the children at all, directly, but perhaps with my husband and they are such little sponges!! If I change my terminology now it will become a habbit and I will be less likely to slip. Good tip-thanks

Love the reply lol! I do hear where you are coming from-I just thought I would post it as an FYI because even though I consider myself and intelligent, educated and responsible adult I make mistakes (as I am sure you do as well) and yes-I am responsible for my mistakes, but considering they are so easy to make-I honestly would not have thought that any of the e-liquid would have remained after I wiped it with a towel, let alone be transferred onto a spoon that set there for a minute. It was just an eye opening awareness and I wanted to share it.

You walk softly, but carry a big stick I saw that battery and almost got it, but I was afraid I would need other gadgets to go with so refrained. Thanks for the size pic-good to know for next time:O)

Hey guys, got my new mega cartomizers from GoodProphets.com and have used them, and like them BUT I did watch the videos on how to fill, and I still get lots of leakage from the bottom of the carto when filling, and sometimes radom leakage while vaping-just a glob or two, but yuk. Anyone else experiencing this? What to do? Should I fill the carto slower? Thanks

I just read the new rules re: discussions of nicotine liquid strengths and wanted to share a story with you all. Nicotine is indeed a poison (yes-we all know) We are all human (again we know right?) Well-I have 3 small children and even though I would never purchase liquid at any higher dose than 36mgs (really it's enough of a savings for me as I like 12-18mgs) Anyway, last night I got my new mega cartomizers and was filling them on the counter-I had some major spillage and cleaned it up with my paper towel, my kids then 4 hours later got out some ice cream to eat and all of the sudden my daughter said "my tongue is burning" and she went and rinsed her mouth out, she still felt burning after and I had been thinking WTH is going on, and remembered that I had filled my carto there. My oldest son had set the big spoon down on the counter (where I had filled the carto and wiped it up with a papertowel) and my daughter had picked up the spoon and licked it. The point is-we love our nicotine-but it's strong, and now I will wipe up all my spills with a dish cloth and soap, AND thank goodness it was only 11 mgs.

Just wanted to throw in my 2cents as a new ego owner, and when I was shopping I saw the "ones" with the manual batteries and thought "Well, I don't want to push a button" =then I came here and asked around about which model to buy, everyone agreed go with the ego. The best deal with the ego was a manual battery, so that's what I got and I love it. I don't even think about the button hardly at all, I just have the button where I hold it and push without even noticing I do it now (it was barely noticeable at first either). Just wanted to add that:O) Good luck

Great video-I saw this last Wednesday and went to GoodProphets, placed an order and got them Sat. I filled one as soon as I got home today and LOVE IT. I agree that they are not pretty-looks more like a cigar type thing, but could care less-the fill tool was like a buck and it works great, just as easy to fill as a reg. cartridge, but will go a long way(okay only been hitting off it for an hour, but with that much juice it must go a long way! Great mouth piece shape also, very comfortable in my mouth.

Well, I am a menthol girl-always have been. So, I got some menthol crystals, not sure how to use it in the recipe I have (which uses no water?) I got flavors already mixed (but I will probably get more when bored-but I go to my menthol when I "need" to vape

I saw that one somewhere? This is the one I got-not sure how good it is as i have never used any so we'll see, cheap enough if I hate it:O)

Lol! I get it now

I did get a nylon one for my reg. atty's as I am thinking i will only be DD when home-using the mega's at home and when traveling.

"As far as wanting a piece, they don't, not until a big boy gets it moving, then taxed. They have no problem if you keep smoking as long as you pay tax." Isn't that "as long as you pay tax" what wanting a piece implies?

Can you do a video or explain how you cut them so if I have the same problem? If not it's cool I will figure it out -
Stocking Up-How Long Will A Mega Atomizer Last?
girldragon replied to girldragon's topic in New Vapers Forum
Why can't you drip with them? I to would like a mega drip tip, but can't you just use an empty mega cartridge? -
Agree about the fast response, however; it could mean one of two things-1)They really DO care about the average American citizen OR 2) They want to keep us all calm and not cause an ordering of liquid nicotine JAM from all the current panicked "users" by using ambiguous wording (which IMHO is exactly what they did-under the guise of "just watch the labeling" then the quiet "small print" of the last portion you quoted. I do believe they will stop the nicotine liquid at the very least-I now have 800 ml of liquid coming (500 36mg that I can mix with caution of course) and the rest pre-mixed). I think they just want a piece of the action-and complete world domination ) If I were a supplier, I would now be working out a way to find out who my customers were (perhaps something like a list of forum members and such-and really put some effort into how I might QUIETLY fill a probable supply shortage

great thanx-tornego-love it lol

Since the tornado/ego uses the 510 atomizer, will a drip that fits the 510 fit my tornado? I am looking at these My link caption says:TW Long Metal Drip Tip for the 510 or DSE901 A long Stainless Steel Drip Tip for the 510 and 901 atomizers. It enables easy driping onto the atomizer bridge. The TW Stainless Steel Long Drip tip is made of high quality steel, one of the main benefits of direct dripping using a Tw Tip is there is never that acrid taste that can occur when using plastic carts.

I wrote an e-mail to the FDA regarding the benefits of e-cigs for myself and my concerns re:bans-here is their reply-really just a regurge of what you all know Dear Andrea, Thank you for writing the Division of Drug Information, in the FDA's Center for Drug Evaluation and Research. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration today issued warning letters to five electronic cigarette distributors for various violations of the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act (FDCA) including unsubstantiated claims and poor manufacturing practices. Also today, in a letter to the Electronic Cigarette Association, FDA said the agency intends to regulate electronic cigarette and related products in a manner consistent with its mission of protecting the public health. The letter outlines the regulatory pathway for marketing drug products in compliance with the FDCA. For a drug product to gain FDA approval, a company must demonstrate to the agency that the product is safe and effective for its intended use. The company must also demonstrate that manufacturing methods are adequate to preserve the strength, quality and purity of the product. "FDA invites electronic cigarette firms to work in cooperation with the agency toward the goal of assuring that electronic cigarettes sold in the United States are lawfully marketed," the letter to the association read. FDA has determined that the electronic cigarette products addressed in the warning letters to the distributors, and similar products, are subject to FDA regulation as drugs. Under the FDCA, a company cannot claim that its drug can treat or mitigate a disease, such as nicotine addiction, unless the drug's safety and effectiveness have been proven. Yet all five companies claim without FDA review of relevant evidence that the products help users quit smoking cigarettes. The companies receiving warning letters today are: E-CigaretteDirect LLC, Ruyan America Inc., Gamucci America (Smokey Bayou Inc.), E-Cig Technology Inc. and Johnson's Creek Enterprises LLC. Certain companies received warning letters for additional reasons. For example, E-Cig Technology markets drugs in unapproved liquid forms, such as tadalafil, an erectile dysfunction drug, and rimonabant, a weight loss drug that has not been approved for use in the United States. These liquid pharmaceuticals are designed to refill cartridges used in e-cigarettes so that the drugs can be vaporized and inhaled. You can locate more information at http://www.fda.gov/NewsEvents/Newsroom/PressAnnouncements/ucm225224.htm. Best regards, CAO Division of Drug Information Center for Drug Evaluation and Research Food and Drug Administration For up-to-date drug information, follow the FDA's Division of Drug Information on Twitter at FDA_Drug_Info ETA-I am now getting ready to place my order for a BUTT load of nicotine liquid as that is what they will stop the sale of, not the products themselves or flavors or PG-People, get ready as they are going to ban the Nicotine liquid (that is what I think is going to happen-until they can prove it safe to inhale) anyone correct me if I am wrong.

Bought This Charger And It Doesn't Fit?
girldragon replied to girldragon's topic in General Vaping Discussion
Well, I have the charger for the wall, so I will have to return the one I got for the car-what can I use for my car? I know what a USB cable is for my computer, but not for a car? Anyone send me a link? Thanks guys ETA-Oh oops-now I saw the link. Okay, if I got that car charger and then plug it in to a USB cable-then how do I get the USB cable to connect with my ego battery? Do I need to use my wall charger for the connection?
