I have a few Loranns, but they are just too strong and when I cut down the % they have a chemical taste to me. Everyone has the favorites as we all know.....taste is subjective!

I'm a part time Pyrotechnician in NC and the largest show I've ever done was about 800 shots and cost 1/4 mil and that was WAY more than 800 there. If I had to guess I'd say close to a million dollars.

Hey Nana, what kind of PV are you using? I bought a Buzz from Notcigs and being able to adjust the voltage made a big difference for me now. I still DIY and my flavors range from 20 - 30% but I find a world of difference between 4 - 5 volts in flavor production with each tenth of voltage. Also I ad what I call the Kitsune Kick (1-2 drops of PA Menthol) to each mix.

I think the size of the drop has to do with the weight / viscosity of the liquid. Get some blunt syringes or pipettes for the most accurate measures. Myself I use a bit of both....little this pinch of that.... DIY brings out the mad scientist in us all!

I've not been impressed with most of Lorann's flavoring either. Everything is either too strong or has a chemical taste to it. Only thing I have I like from her is the Barvarian Cream, and I mix it weak.

My blend of Sweet-Tart...combination of Blueberry and Redbull with a couple drops of Menthol!

I've heard nothing but great stuff about them. The have them made to their spec's and several people are saying they are lasting a month and counting. They are supposed to hold 30 drops, 2.8 ohms in a 510 carto. I understand they have another version called a Fusion (801)and hold even more liquid. Prices are great so I will be ordering them when my current supply of Boges run down or run a sale

Keeping them wet is the main thing. The more VG you use the longer in between tokes I wait. I DIY and mix mine with about a 70/30 PG/VG blend and my 510 Boges last about a solid week before I get that taste,

I think the size of the drop also depends on the weight or thickness of the material too. I imagine that 20 drops per mil might be a standard for water. I like to use a blunt tip syringe for anything over .5 mil measurements and leave the drops to small stuff.

I got some Ethyl Maltol in my last order to add some sweetness to some of my mixes, One Stop DIY Shop suggested dilution: Dissolve 1/4 teaspoon of Ethyl Maltol crystals in 10ml of PGA (Pure Grain Alcohol). I'm not wild about using PGA in fear of tasting it. My question(s) are, will I taste the PGA or is there a better method on dissolving these crystals?

I worked as a projectionist in a old theater in town and we had midnight movies every Friday and Saturday nights. We played the Rocky Horror shows several times a year. Mid 70's we had a packed house (500 seats) every time!......kids now day don't know what they missed.

Brian I tried this with a little twist: 50% PA Peanut Butter 40% PA Chocolate 10% PA Malted Milk (what I had on hand) and it taste just like a Reese's Peanut butter cup at 24mg/ml 80/20 pg/vg. I have found the inner mad scientist in me Gotta love DIY'ing!

I'm with you Dayvape, the etchings are little too much, not crazy about the propitiatory batteries either. They state that they will last a 1000 charges, but what if they don't? Send it back and have them replaced? 13 hours on a charge sounds good, but I get that from my Buzz too. I think I'll keep my Buzz and small screw driver handy for a while longer. Still eyeing that Pro-vari though.....lol

It seems to be with just certain flavors and I am thinking it may be with Loranns in particular. I've only used Loranns and PA's flavoring, I'll keep better notes. Also I am wondering if it also may have to do with VG and what percentage of VG we are using?

Since I originally posted this I have learned there maybe something to this steeping. I was trying to make a peach cobbler in my DIY lab, adding a little this and a little that, not matter what I did it tasted like . It was only 5 mil so I set it off to the side. After about a week I picked it back up to try again. The taste was perfect, great aroma, taste and tons of vapor! Now if I can only find my notes as to what I had added.....

I think I've seen this done on a video some where.....get a blunt syringe and pull the plunger out, the take the filler out of the carts and put them in the tube of the syringe. The place the plunger back in and press it down with the blunt tip in a bottle. It just squeezes all the liquid out in to the bottle.
