That article was from 2009 and what started the whole customs suit with the FDA, however, I look at it this way....we were inhaling over 4000 chemicals with every cigarette we smoked, 4000 is there any other product on the market that has 4000 chemicals in it that we are allowed to consume in this country? Heck is there anything with 4000 chemicals we want to consume?? I don't! The e cigarette I am sure is not 100 percent safe, but it has to be safer than something with CO2, and arsenic and the other 4000 chemicals. I don't get the whole safety debate of it from the FDA's standpoint, lets see 4000 chemicals and we don't ban them and then something with max of 6 that I have ever seen and they want to ban it?? Makes one wonder.

Have you talked to your doctor specifically about vaping? Have you told them that you quit smoking and what the whole story is? I know that it is optimal to not have anything...........but I am wondering if you told your doctors and what they said? I had knee surgery when I still smoked and they fused two bones together because my knee cap kept coming out of place...I healed fine, but my doctor did warn me it may be slower than a non smoker. If you cannot do zero nicotine, I think if you can get lower even that would help. Cheer up at least they seem to have an idea of what they can do to make it better.

Well I will tell you this, if you are going to be using an ecig for the first time and your main goal is to quit smoking, I would suggest an automatic battery. For me the manual battery is not the same as just taking a drag off of a cigarette you have to push the button to make it work, I am sure someone with more knowledge than I will tell you why the manual battery is better, I am just giving you my personal take on it. I had an automatic battery first and when I switched to the manual battery I find I hate it. The other thing is go with something that you can use cartomizers in which is a cartridge and atomizer together, the direct dripping is great when you are just sitting, but being a stay at home work at home mom, I don't just sit very often, I need it in the laundry room at the computer, in the yard, in the car, and taking juice everywhere to drip is not so convienent. (sp) Now, keep in mind that I have only been vaping for about 2 weeks so I am not the veteran here by a long shot, I am still trying to find my "sweet spot" I am just letting you know things that work for me. Charging batteries are not a huge deal to me, I did buy a Personal charging case with mine so that I can have an extra in my purse when I go out. Find what you think will work FOR YOU, nobody else FOR YOU, you are the one that has to use it, if the pink one works, rock that.....if I could find a purple one I would be all over it!! I have a daughter as well, she thinks the whole e cig thing is cool, but she also knows that it is not for her use and I would knock her around a bit if I found her with it. Just cuz its cool does not mean its not mom's and mom's alone! Good luck!

They sell these starter kits at my local 7-11 and this is what I started on and honestly it was awesome. Well I have since given it to my son and he is now quit analogs as well. Does anyone know what model it is so I can get him some parts and accessories? I really likes that one much better than the 510 I have right now, the cartridges were tasteless but at least they would last for a bit. Anywho....anybody familar?

You know what is funny about the Topol commercial is they never mention you know this is going beyond your teeth and messing up your lungs as well. They just want to make sure you know that you can still have white teeth even if your lungs are black with, well, tar! I just really found that funny. Nowadays, we would have to have all kinds of lawyer jargon before we could even use the stupid tooth polish. hahaha!

Has anyone heard or seen about using Fluval filter material for replacing the poly in the cartridges? Is it toxic when it gets hot? I am hearing rumors. I went to YOUTUBE, nobody says much about the toxicity.

What is a good price for replacements? How long does an atomizer last 510 basic? What is a good price for them? Are you better off buying starter sets once in awhile or do you just buy replacement parts? How do you store liquid?? How do you store FILLED cartridges? How do you know what liquid is in each cartridge, everyone says smell it, but honestly my smeller does not work that well, any other ideas? What do you always have as a back up? Like how many and what? How long will you be able to stand my questions.................hahahah
