Jkimbo got a reaction from breathe81 in Fda Blunts E-Cigarette Claims
Do the math.
tobacco = 4000 chemicals
e liquids = 2 main chemicals
We can use the death statistics from tobacco related deaths and sort of get an idea that there will be at the very least, fewer deaths caused by ecigs.
I think it's a valid statement to use and further sheds light on the goofy way they are treating ecigs and ignoring all the things we do know about cigarettes!
They piss and moan about child proof caps on juice bottles but never mind all the cigarette buts children can pick up off the ground and many still burning too!
It is all politics!

Jkimbo got a reaction from breathe81 in Fda Blunts E-Cigarette Claims
I fail to see the problem if companies stop advertising ecigs as ways to quit smoking! Market them simply as ecigs, no other claims.
What hurt the industry was such claims. Clearly they did not think that one all the way thru. Other claims that hurt us was the smoke any where claims. Clearly we can't and this invites adding confusion in no smoking areas.
What's ironic is that the whole world has gone mad regarding ecigs and lost all sense of logic! Cigarettes which are 4000 more times more dangerous, and do not have child proof safty caps and and be picked up off the ground often already lit by children is not seen as a threat, yet they have focused on ecigs in a evil way!
WTF is going on here!?

Nonsense. Do NOT get the Ego.
If you start off with the Ego you won't appreciate it as much as we do.
You should buy a store bought starter kit for $75 that sucks first like we all did, feel the disappointment/shame and THEN buy a Ego. Why should you be spared of the added expense of learning the hard way?

Jkimbo got a reaction from elDuderino in Here's An Interesting Story Re: Nicotine Strength And Safety Around Children
Certainly I understand the purpose of posting your story. And I too am glad your daughter is ok. Nicotine this deluted will only cause discomfort and slight irritation. Had it been pure nicotine it would have been more serious. I don't even vape in front of my kids because they are only 6 and I don't want them to try copying me. As they get older it will become a different story. Sorry if I sounded preachy. I am just so freaking pissed at the FDA and critics and including some from our own community preaching. I just got banned from a vapor forum simply for speaking up for free speech and freedom. The hypocrisy runs high on both sides of the river. The forum I got banned from ridiculed the FDA for it's power struggle and for strangling our freedom and then they turn around and censor posts LMAO. I simply tell it like it is. Peace

Ok with that said, If you stick with USA Juices and 0 nic, I see no more harm in vaping then any other food product manufactured.

I think the honest truth is that ecigs will not be for every one despite the unusual high success rate it has, there will some it just won't work for. But giving it enough time is good advise!

Jkimbo got a reaction from lightbringer in "time For Tobacco Harm Reduction" Cover Story On Tobacco Outlet Business
Found it on another forum did not have a chance to read it all and that other forum is blocked at my job so reposted it here for every one!
The cover story on the new September/October issue of Tobacco Outlet Business is "Time for Tobacco Harm Reduction: The emerging reduced-harm product market may become retailer's new profit center"
The seven page article (which quotes me extensively) is subtitled "Support Builds for Tobacco Harm Reduction" and discusses smokeless tobacco products and e-cigarettes in detail. The article also includes quotes by or mentions CASAA, NVC, AAPHP, ACSH, tobaccoharmreduction.org, Mike Siegel, Brad Rodu and Johnson Creek.

Jkimbo got a reaction from BEERCITYVAPRZ in Absolute Best Juices You've Ever Had
As a tobacco flavor person I rarely sample any thing other then tobacco flavors. I just purchased 150ml bottle of Carmel Tobacco 32mg from Blue Mist. I ordered it "extra flavor" which emphasizes the carmel flavor and the tobacco flavor lighter. I must say I was pleasantly surprised with this mix. I never thought I would like it. It is a quality mix, and the price, $25.50. American made! I was also surprised that they also included a small 10ml 32mg bottle of Belgian Waffle for me to try. I like this a lot too and will definitely be ordering more of it. If you think it's impossible to get quality juice, service and dirt cheap prices for American made juices, think again! I highly recommend Blue Mist!!!

Jkimbo got a reaction from BEERCITYVAPRZ in E Liquid Vs. Analogs
I wouldn't vape any thing under 18mgs at any price, be like vaping air.
I know many are trying to cut out the nic all together and working their way down, I am not.
I see no reason to smoke or vape if there is no nic, th or head rush.

Jkimbo got a reaction from BEERCITYVAPRZ in Appeals Court May Sidestep E-Cig Key Issue - Argument Thurs
There lies the problem with the drug delivery device argument and it depends on how far you want to take it. The bottom line is it will cost serious money to fight the FDA.
The real problem as I see it was this ..
Basically they gave a next to useless agency even more power to be even more useless.

Jkimbo got a reaction from BEERCITYVAPRZ in E Liquid Apocalapse, Its Coming
Juice from China is dirt cheap, there is a HUGE markup. I seen 15ml bottle wholesale for 20 cents per bottle, 30ml for 50 cents a bottle (bulk lots), those are the same ones that sell for $6 to $15 here after the markup.
I'm glad to see producers here in the USA offer some competitive prices!
We should be sampling before we buy any way

Jkimbo got a reaction from upStomp in Additives In E Liquid
We really are becoming a nanny state and a nation of whiners! The same kind of uproar went over Alcohol Energy drinks too. Targeting kids, what's in it, whats the effects, dangerous, ban, ban, ban.

Jkimbo got a reaction from BEERCITYVAPRZ in Additives In E Liquid
I only know one supplier that still offers such additives, ginseng, vit c. We may be thinking of the same one, it sounds like it lol. Any way my thoughts on it are pretty Libertarian. So what, mind your own business and yes, FDA please, fock off and get a real job. I am more upset with the freaking flood of candy, fruit and food flavor juices out there and lack of tobacco flavors which I feel borders criminal lol.
I don't think the FDA has a problem with ginseng and vitamin c, it's other additives such as dietary additives and or poisonous ones. They also have a problem with the form of advertising and claims made. But for some reason are not overly concerned with the 4000 additives in tobacco or the claim that "light cigarettes are less dangerous or better for you." They really are a bunch of retards.
I tried the ginseng, it's orderless, tasteless and honestly the percentage of it added is so minute to have any effect at all. You already hit on a bigger problem in another thread regarding the flood of candy and desert flavors out there. Critics can point to that and say they are targeting kids.
Here is what i would like to see however. More consistency in rating and producing these juices with the ingredients listed on labels. Lets all get on the same page. One supplier considers 16mg HIGH and another considers it Medium. The different variations of the same flavor would also be easily detectable if the ingredients were labeled. I would also like to see the freedom to be able to purchase what ever nic dose I want. And finally I want a freaking WARNING LABEL on every juice bottle that reads:
WARNING: The FDA may be hazardous to your health and freedom!
and before the end of the month too!

Jkimbo got a reaction from BEERCITYVAPRZ in E Liquid Apocalapse, Its Coming
That's what I am afraid of too, higher costs. Take Johnson Creek for example, fine juices well packaged and provide the contents on their labels. In addition I'm sure they provide a clean quality environment for producing their juices, As should be yes. But look at their prices even now, $10 for 15ml and $20 for 30ml. If prices are this high before the FDA gets in the game, imagine what they might be like after and that is not even factoring in any additional taxes which I'm sure would follow. We could end up paying $25 for 15ml and $50 for 30ml.
I am in favor of some sort of guidelines and regulations, but I do not want to force these companies to adhere to ridiculously strict testing and production which would increase the prices beyond the need to! And as for the tax, it better not be as criminal as the tobacco taxes!

Jkimbo got a reaction from BEERCITYVAPRZ in E Liquid Apocalapse, Its Coming
I suspect that is a crock of ****! I find it hard to believe more people all over the place have requested various candy flavors, they have like hundreds of ridiculous flavors, and only a few tobacco or handful at best. That's hard to believe IMHO
Also I find it ridiculous how some suppliers rate their nic levels at lo medium and high. High issually only 16mg-18mg lol
I know a lot of people that tried ecigs but quickly ran back to analogs because they were lead to believe 4mg is Low 8mg is medium and 16 mg is High. A lot of starter kits come with only 8mg! Like vaping air! I was ready to go back to analogs until I tried 24 mg which is a Light or Medium for me. 36mg is more true to a real full flavor analog for TH and head buzz. So these people try the usual starter kits with 8 to 16mg and think vaping is a joke. They never realize the potential of vaping at all! Pity.
And the flood of candy flavors, dont get me started on that again lol

Jkimbo got a reaction from kitsune in Ok...i'll Bite.
Brian has already provided good advice. I would just like to add to the battery and drag issues.
I would not be afraid of the auto if that's what you think you preferred. I actually started out that way and never had any failures. About the only thing I noticed was some times the cut off was premature but that's nothing a second drag can't solve. The nice thing about the smaller auto ecigs are they are lighter and you can keep them in your mouth and still take drags.
I did go with the ego and love it. What I do like about the manual battery style is I can take as long of a drag as I want. It is a heavier battery but the ego is a lot smaller then it looks in pictures and fits easily in a shirt pocket and I can keep it in my mouth for short periods of time to free my hands when needed.
One other thing I would like to address about ecigs because a lot of people I know try them and either don't like them or still smoke analogs. The reason I believe for that is because the expectations of the nicotine amount is different between analogs and ejuice. For example, Newport 100's analog are 18-19 mgs, that's about 1mg per cigarette. When you inhale smoke from tobacco it goes directly in to your blood! If you then switched to vaping and tried 18mg juice you would think you were smoking LIGHTS and would need to go to 24mgs before you satisfy your nicotine craving. The problem is most of these starter kits come with ridiculously low nic 8 to 16mgs which just aint gonna cut it coming from analogs. These are my observations and opinion of course
