  1. CA is not lucky either (at least L.A. isn't...) Things tend to take double the stated amount of time to get to me. Its pretty ridiculous. I complain to the post office regularly.... Needless to say, they don't like me, so maybe they just hold up my stuff on purpose...
  2. Well you said you don't want custom, or to build your own device, So here are my suggestions for batteries. My husband has a Provari device (which you buy batteries to place inside of it, and the batteries are rechargeable. Its kind of expensive, but that thing is a monster. A battery lasts him 2 days minimum. I on the other hand use an evod twist, a spinner 2, and a spinner 1. The spinner has the longest battery life of them, followed by the evod twist. Now, this ends my knowledge, lol. I'm still pretty new. But lots of people use dripper set ups, not tanks, and they like them for the big clouds that they produce. You will find this is completely a "to each their own" activity. My husband and I have totally different tastes in equipment and in juices.
  3. welcome! Sounds like you hit the ground running, good for you! And I love the Spinner 2, nice battery life to it.
  4. I fully understand. I have the time in my day to deal with flooded tanks (which my protanks do from time to time), but my husband has no such time, so I sticks with his Nautilus.
  5. lol jason! Flooding an empty tank takes talent!
  6. I don't have the answer for you, but hubby mentioned a similar problem yesterday. He usually just opens it up, wipes out the coil and puts it back together again and it works fine. Interested to figure out what is causing this.
  7. exactly, whatever works, works. We all have learned/ and are learning, that each of us is different, so we each tinker with all the variables to figure out what keeps us away from smoking. Take it day by day, moment by moment, and thats all we can do.
  8. I'm new to vaping myself. I started out with a bunch of 0, 3, and 6 mg juices (freebies from an expo). They weren't working for me at all. I kept going back to analogs (cigarettes). I bumped up to 18 and 24 mg, and have been analog free for a couple of weeks now. Its so much better now. No, I probably won't try to lower the nicotine level for awhile, no rush. So, welcome, keep asking any and all your questions. People here are friendly, and pretty fast with the info. Jump right in. Michelle
  9. Yay! Congrats! I second what jason said, don't rush the nicotine levels. Heck I moved mine up, not down, but its working. You can do this!! (And fyi, I now can say your tobacco juices, are the real deal, no need to burn a cigarette to get that tobacco flavor that you enjoy). So, again, great job, and keep up the good work!
  10. lol too bad game testers make about as much money as a fast food worker..... lol
  11. Welcome! Sounds like you and my hubby would have alot in common. lol You both have been a little accident prone to start your vaping journey (he dropped his and shattered his Nautilus). He too is an avid lifelong gamer (took it so far that after getting out of the Army, he landed in video game testing, been in the industry for 10 years now, lol), and you happen to live near his favorite team in the world, the Pittsburgh Steelers. Me? I'm new to vaping as well. Been vaping a couple months now, finally threw away the cigarettes a little over two weeks ago. Its a great feeling! Michelle
  12. lol of course pics, I never take incriminating pictures. lol I constantly tell my kids how glad I am that I went to high school before camera phones and Facebook!
  13. lol I will provide a full report. We will only be going on Saturday, and apparently only for a few hours, but we plan on seeing everything that we can.
  14. Hmm, I don't have to look back too far, but I would definitely say, stay away from the cigalikes, and go straight for a beginner battery (Evod Twist or Spinner 1 or 2), and get a good pyrex tank (protank or Nautilus). Take some time to sample various liquids in a brick and mortar and find a couple that I really like. Make sure to start with a higher nicotine level, and go down in level as needed.
  15. It does get easier. I'm only a couple of weeks off of analogs, but when I bumped up my nicotine levels to 24 mg, I noticed a definite change. For the first month of vaping, I did have a cigarette now and then, and I noticed that the taste and smell was horrible. So when I finally stopped buying analogs, and just stopped having them all together, I felt so much better. I still feel the urge to have one every now and then, but I just pull out my vape and get over it. Hang in there, you can do this.
  16. lol! YOU are definitely NOT a troll! (Sorry to break it to you) lol
  17. Ok, so I'm not naming names, but a few people from this group helped me out immensely. Lets just say its like Christmas around here. Buuut.... Someone provided me with an aero base for my protank 2, and I have to say, it is the best thing ever! I filled my protank with the usual juice (dopey drops), put the tank together using the aero base, and 2 things are immediately different. 1. it does not leak! no more flooding the battery head! and 2. the flavor is soooo much better now! This may all be in my head, but I am so happy right now! To those of you that decided to bless me and my hubby, I thank you again. I honestly can't believe how helpful everyone on this forum has been (I don't have very good luck on forums and such, I seem to be a troll magnet). Thank you for reinstating my faith in humanity, apparently there is hope. Hugs to everyone! Michelle
  18. True that!!! LOL Thanks for the reminder Tam!
  19. Best battery for a beginner? Simple is best in my mind. I would vote for either an Evod Twist or a Vision Spinner 2. Both are simply plug and play. lol Easy to charge, easy to use. Get a starter kit or just get the battery by itself, and buy a tank separately. Good tanks would be either a Protank or a Nautilus. Juices are subjective. Look for flavor profiles that suit your personal tastes. As to nicotine level, that depends on you. I'm a pack a day smoker, so I started with a high nicotine level (24 and 18), but you can get levels all the way down to 0.
  20. Sounds like you hit the ground running! Welcome! You have been at this for a shorter time then me, and yet you know way more. lol I've been vaping since August, but only gave up cigarettes for good a couple of weeks ago. It is fantastic isn't it? I have no idea about dripping, but I'm sure you will get plenty of replies. People here are quite helpful with info. Have fun! Michelle
  21. lol funny. Ok, well, you can go to the Vapor Talk store here for your hardware, they have really good prices and fast shipping too! I have only tried one of their juices, choco java, and it was really good, but they have other flavors too. Do you have any idea of what you want? I am pretty new, and I am using an evod battery with a protank 2. Simple setup, but it gets the job done! Ask any questions, and people will jump in to help. Great forum, with fantastic people (most who know way more than me!) Oh, and WELCOME! Michelle
  22. lol, Murphy's Law strikes again.
  23. Dealing with a leaky protank 2 here as well. I've tried all the fixes that have been suggested to me. Is the leak coming through the bottom of the coil onto the battery head? Or is it coming out of the side (where the tank and the bottom screw together?
  24. Today's vape selection for me: I'm switching between Space Jam - Galactica and Suicide Bunny - Mother's Milk. Its a great day. (Not too mention its the weekend, so when my battery is charging I can sneak hubby's Provari!)
