JayH503 got a reaction from Breal in Kgo Battery Charger
Joye Tech "Brand" eGo chargers won't work with KGO batteries. Hoosierecig states this with the KGO batteries. I've been using all my eGo type chargers with my KGO batteries without any problems. KGO's have a problem with eGo chargers made by Joye Tech for some reason. Why I don't know.

JayH503 got a reaction from ashora in Chrome Thread Vs Gold Threaded Kgos.
Do you like the KGO's, or have you not purchased one yet? I have one of the newer chrome threaded, 1100mAh KGO's with the 5 click on/off. I got it from Hoosier as a single. I also got a couple bigbore cones since I use the larger diameter clear dual coil cartomizers. I've been using the KGO all the time, except for when it's charging of course. Then I use one of my eGo 650mAh. The KGO's are really good batteries. I also like the soft blue LED button. They do put out a higher voltage, as Hoosier claims. If you're thinking about getting one, they are available as singles.

JayH503 got a reaction from Uma in Lavatube
Blue screen Provari. That sounds cool. I got on the pre-order list for the Lavatube. Thats what the email I got says anyway. I might get one with a red LCD back-light. Might not. The Lavatube got a good review from Scott on youtube though. Kinda thinking about waiting to see if a blue back-light comes later on. After all the fuss is over with.

So did I, about an hour ago. LOL I'm waiting also. Hope we both have good luck! I found a supplier that had a black one with a blue LCD back-light display in the photo. I asked in the email if it positively came with a blue back-light. Want to make sure, if I'm going to all the trouble of ordering one.

I use both dual coil and 2.0 Ohm LR cartomizers. I kinda switch off from one to the other. Both work well for me. I get mine from vaporkings or avidvapor. I haven't used a standard resistance in a very long time. Might have to buy some 3.0 Ohm's when I get my Lavatube Mod though.

Thats cool! We'll have an easier chance of getting one. I don't think they will be out on November 15th anyway. I'm probably gonna have to wait for a black Lavatube with blue LCD back-light display anyway. I don't like the red display color. The green display looks ok though. Most of the Lavatube photos show a red display, but I've seen some in blue and green also. RED YUCK! IMO

Volcano will be selling the kits for $99.99 and the unit by itself for $69.99
The kit includes: The "aluminum body" Lavatube, 1 AW flat top high drain 18650 battery, 1 Trustfire charger, 1 Lavatube 3.0 Ohm 510 atomizer, 1 510 Drip tip and 1 leather case.
The kits will be available first, November 15th it says, (so far), before they will be selling the unit by itself.
I might go ahead and buy a complete kit, if they are available.
Also - Volcano claims to be the builder/designer of the Lavatube and they are allowing other companies over-seas to distribute it, while they will be the only company in the United States to carry it.

I might try to order one. If it gets good reviews on youtube. Scott has only had his a short time. He said he'd have a complete review soon. I hope it's a good quality unit. But for the price I wonder how well the circuitry and programming works. I love the looks. I want to purchase a black one with blue back-lighting.

JayH503 got a reaction from Christopher in Questions About The 510 (Help Please) Ohms?
Gamera The eGo batteries look a lot bigger but once you get them in your hand, they feel perfect. They put out lots of power and you can also use them with LR (low resistance) cartomizers so they pump out lots of vapor and great throat hit and taste. It's all I use, except I also have a larger NOEGO with an 18650 battery. LR works best for me. It's sorta like a high voltage vape. You will enjoy using 510 batteries with SR (standard resistance) cartomizers but you'll love eGo batteries with LR cartomizers. IMO

Hey Uma, 5 months is a long time to be without internet. I bet you're enjoying it again. I'd be lost without it. I can sit here for hours looking at stuff. Glad you're back and gettin caught up with all the new PV items.

I keep mine topped off during use also. You never want to vape a dry cartomizer, or a dry atomizer. But tossing them away after only 4 or 5 days? I get a lot of good use out of mine. They fire just like new if they are rinsed out with hot water and the air passage is cleaned. I let them air dry over night or until I want to re-use them again. I only use the same type/flavor of juice in each one, so no change in flavor. Easy to do and well worth the effort. A 5 Pack lasts me a while before I need to reorder more.

As stated above, the batteries need to be dead before each re-charge. I "ALWAYS" wait till my eGo batteries blink indicating that they need a recharge. My buddy recharges his batteries any old time as he pleases and my batteries last WAY longer than his. He buys batteries much faster than I do. His go bad and need replaced. Costly mistake! As for cleaning a cartomizer, I use hot water to rinse them out and I also run a piece of dental bridge floss through mine. You can buy it at any Walgreen's pharmacy. It's like a flexible pipe cleaner but smaller in diameter so it fits through the air passage way. It gently pulls all the build up off the coils. I use dual coil and single coil cartomizers. It makes my cartomizers last a lot longer. Hope this helps!

Same here! I think the regular length dual coils work better too. Seem to get juice to the coil area better. I guess so anyway.

You're welcome! It works great for me! Hope you have good luck with it too! I vape Kretek (thick) juice and it gets the gunk out!

Using the plastic cartridge and atomizer thats included in the eGo kit is kinda out dated nowadays. I never thought they worked well anyway. The atomizers that come with the eGo kits can be used for direct dripping though. Most people buy a drip tip to pop on top of the atomizer and toss the cartridge away. I tried direct dripping for a short time. I quickly switched to using cartomizers. You fill them using the bottom fill method AKA condom fill method. You can go to youtube and find several videos on how to fill cartomizers. Also listed on the forum. I'll add a link below as an example. After you fill them for the first time you can just drip a few drops into the top as needed. Buy a couple of 510 drip tips. They work and feel better, plus you don't have to pull the small white soft caps off when you want to add a few drops to the cartomizer.
I started out with the 650mAh eGo batteries. I bought a 900mAh eGo battery later on, after one of my 650's died. The 2.0 Ohm LR cartomizers work great on the eGo. I recently tried the newer dual coils. It's a toss up which one is better. Leaning towards the dual coils being better though. Here's a link I found just to give you some idea of how you fill them the first time.
Youtube has a lot of good videos!
Also "Grimmgreen" does some great equipment and juice reviews on youtube! I'm also going to try the eGo MEGA dual coil cartomizers at madvapes.com They have good reviews, hold lots of juice and also look nice on the eGo batteries. http://www.madvapes.com/eGo-Mega-Dual-Coil-Cartomizer_p_3140.html
Hope this helps!

Welcome Chindra, I'd recommend the eGo kit with 900mAh batteries. Buy a 5 pack of 2.0 Ohm LR (Low Resistance) cartomizers also. And/or dual coil cartomizers. I purchase most of my things from vaporkings.com in Tulsa/Sand Springs Oklahoma. (Close to Missouri) Great place! Great people! The eGo has long battery life and with the LR and dual coil cartomizers it will give you lots of vapor and great throat hit too. I use to smoke over a pack a day of Djarum Blacks. This set up got me to quit smoking cigarettes. Tastyvapor.us is a good place for liquids. avejuice.com and cloudsofvapor.com are also good places to try. Hope this helps!

JayH503 got a reaction from GPurv in Ego Newbie Observation
Ya, eGo batteries are good. I've had my original 650mAh for almost 6 months now. The other one in my starter set lasted a while too. 4 months I think. I also have a 900mAh one I use now. Keeping batteries in rotation helps. And charging "full" after each time they blink, needing recharged. (Charge full to dead each time.) Never had a button stick. So far anyway. I hear it happens once in a while. The plastic buttons are covers for the circuit board switch inside, and that switch is really tiny. The eGo's hold a charge for a long time so they work pretty good!

Very glad you got those to work for you! If you think those work well, you might also try the eGo 900mAh battery with the vaporkings.com LR 2.0 Ohm cartomizers in the future. Works great for me! Again, Glad you're vaping now!

I always fill my cartomizers from the bottom, the first time anyway. "Condom filling method" The video for this is on the site! I just take one of the cover caps (some people call them condoms) and put about 20 drops in it and slowly lower the cartomizer down into the rubber cover. The juice flows up through the bottom of the cartomizer and seeps into the filler material. Sometimes a few drops on the top of the filler is needed. After the liquid is soaked in, you can pull the rubber cap off, wipe off the cartomizer and put it on your battery. Then I just drip a few drops in the top once in a while as needed. It works great for me! I use the LR 2.0 Ohm cartomizers from Vaporkings.com and they work great! Hope this helps!
