  1. Hey Uma, 5 months is a long time to be without internet. I bet you're enjoying it again. I'd be lost without it. I can sit here for hours looking at stuff. Glad you're back and gettin caught up with all the new PV items.
  2. All this time I've been using Joye eGo products mostly. eGo batteries with 2.0 Ohm LR cartomizers or dual coil cartomizers. Works really well for me! Just got a couple of the eGo Mega dual coils the other day. (Wow, these things are huge!) Along with some clove, cinnamon & clove plus a bottle of clove cranberry. I purchased an eGo to 510 adapter for my NOEGO so I could use the eGo Mega dual coil cartomizers on it. With the 18650 battery and these huge eGo Mega dual coils, it's like vaping with a Black and Decker power tool! LOL But I don't have to worry about battery life or juice level for a while. Lots of vapor and a good throat hit with this combo. Last Friday I went to a buddies house to stay the night before his wedding the next day but didn't take my vaping supplies, so I got a pack of Djarum Blacks while we were out getting some booze. I smoked a few, but only a few puffs before putting them out. I couldn't stand the taste or the smell. How I use to love those things so much I'll never know! Now I have the near perfect answer to my clove cravings! AND without all the poisons of cigarettes!
  3. I got the vapin' mailman blues right now. My order shipped Friday so I'm waitin for next week!
  4. Using the plastic cartridge and atomizer thats included in the eGo kit is kinda out dated nowadays. I never thought they worked well anyway. The atomizers that come with the eGo kits can be used for direct dripping though. Most people buy a drip tip to pop on top of the atomizer and toss the cartridge away. I tried direct dripping for a short time. I quickly switched to using cartomizers. You fill them using the bottom fill method AKA condom fill method. You can go to youtube and find several videos on how to fill cartomizers. Also listed on the forum. I'll add a link below as an example. After you fill them for the first time you can just drip a few drops into the top as needed. Buy a couple of 510 drip tips. They work and feel better, plus you don't have to pull the small white soft caps off when you want to add a few drops to the cartomizer. I started out with the 650mAh eGo batteries. I bought a 900mAh eGo battery later on, after one of my 650's died. The 2.0 Ohm LR cartomizers work great on the eGo. I recently tried the newer dual coils. It's a toss up which one is better. Leaning towards the dual coils being better though. Here's a link I found just to give you some idea of how you fill them the first time. Youtube has a lot of good videos! Also "Grimmgreen" does some great equipment and juice reviews on youtube! I'm also going to try the eGo MEGA dual coil cartomizers at madvapes.com They have good reviews, hold lots of juice and also look nice on the eGo batteries. http://www.madvapes.com/eGo-Mega-Dual-Coil-Cartomizer_p_3140.html Hope this helps!
  5. From Springfield using I-44 WEST it's about 2 hrs 56 mins / 187.78 miles to Sand Springs, OK. I always order online. They have two locations right now. One in Tulsa and one in Sand Springs, just west of Tulsa. They are set up for internet orders and I think you can pick up pre-placed orders at the Sand Springs location. But unless you want to take the drive, you should just place the order online. http://www.vaporkings.com/Default.asp http://mapq.st/qnDcBL Be sure to check there store hours on the website if you plan a trip. I also added a mapquest link.
  6. Welcome Chindra, I'd recommend the eGo kit with 900mAh batteries. Buy a 5 pack of 2.0 Ohm LR (Low Resistance) cartomizers also. And/or dual coil cartomizers. I purchase most of my things from vaporkings.com in Tulsa/Sand Springs Oklahoma. (Close to Missouri) Great place! Great people! The eGo has long battery life and with the LR and dual coil cartomizers it will give you lots of vapor and great throat hit too. I use to smoke over a pack a day of Djarum Blacks. This set up got me to quit smoking cigarettes. Tastyvapor.us is a good place for liquids. avejuice.com and cloudsofvapor.com are also good places to try. Hope this helps!
  7. I vape PG juices but I've noticed that some online stores have "ALL" VG juices. Here's one off hand that I know of - http://www.avejuice.com/vg_flavors-100_vg Remember- PG gives you a stronger better tasting vape. VG gives you more vapor. And Nicotine strength gives you the throat hit. I usually vape a 80PG/20VG mix. Some places also have a 70PG/30VG mix or a 50PG/50VG mix even. Also the regular eGo uses an atomizer to direct drip into or cartomizers. The eGo T uses special tank atomizers that only work with the tank cartridges. I tried the eGo T's with the standard resistance coils and wasn't impressed. I've heard that the LR (Low Resistance) coils work better though. Personally, I use LR cartomizers with my eGo batteries and my NOEGO 18650 unit. LR 2.0 Ohm cartomizers and dual coil cartomizers from vaporkings.com work great with the eGo batteries. madvapes.com also has the new eGo dual coil cartomizers. They have good reviews, I haven't ordered any yet but plan to soon. Hope this helps!
  8. Charged the battery again. I believe this will be charge number 4. I took it off the charger as soon as the indicator turned green. Within a few minutes or so. It read 4.19 VDC straight off the battery terminals and 4.19 VDC off of the NOEGO contacts also. (No load) This time it took 8 hours and 20 minutes to fully charge. . But it did change to a green LED indicator this time at least. The NOEGO works great, so I'm happy with everything. Lasts a lot longer on a charge then my eGo batteries. I guess the charging time varies from charge to charge. The battery and charger aren't getting hot, so it must be working correctly.
  9. I'll be ordering a 2nd 18650 next month. I wanted to get just what I needed to use the NOEGO this month. I'm using my eGo batteries while the 18650 is charging. Next time I charge it, I'll leave it on the charger for a longer time, to see if it does switch to a green LED indicator. Just seems weird that it takes longer to charge the 2nd and 3rd time. It must have been partially charged when I got it. The first charge only took 5-6 hours. Thanks for the info everyone!
  10. Welcome to the forum! 510 fittings are a standard. An eGo kit would be my first choice. A kit where you can have two complete units to use, vaping with one while one is charging. If you rotate batteries, they seem to last longer. I use LR (Low Resistance) cartomizers on mine. Just recently got a NOEGO that has an 18650 battery for longer battery life between charges. It also has a 510 fitting. If you get an eGo kit, purchase one with 900mAh batteries. The 650mAh batteries are good but the 900mAh batteries hold a charge longer. LR cartomizers and the new dual coil cartomizers work great on the eGo's. The "cartridges" that come with some kits are pretty much useless. Cartridges are old style and outdated. Most people direct drip into an atomizer or use cartomizers nowadays. All atomizers and cartomizers have a hole to draw air through while you vape. If you get a kit with automatic batteries, they will also have a hole to draw air through. The air you draw in activates the automatic battery switch. I use manual batteries. Manual batteries are sealed and have no hole. I like pushing the button myself, while I vape. Personally I would get an eGo dual kit (two complete units) with 900mAh batteries and buy a 5 pack of LR 510 cartomizers and a 5 pack of 510 dual coil cartomizers. To me this is the perfect combination. Hope this helps!
  11. Ya, I have a Fluke VOM. I'll check the battery voltage next time it comes off the charger.
  12. I got a new Ultrafire BRC 18650 3000mAh battery (Red label) and Trustfire TR-001 charger. The first full charge took about 5 hours and 45 minutes. (I read that this is kinda standard for this charger) so I wasn't too worried. The battery lasted 5 full days, so I was happy. I put it on the charger for a second full charge and after 9 hours the red charge LED never changed to green to indicate a full charge. I ended up taking it off the charger and using it. I got about 3 days use out of it and it indicated needing a charge again. My NOEGO blinked to tell me the battery was low. Today I put the battery on the charger for its 3rd full charge and its been on there for almost 8 hours, and again, no indicator to tell me its fully charged. Does anyone know if I might have a wonky battery or charger? This is the first time I've owned 18650 batteries and charger before. I only bought the one battery so I can't pop another one on the charger to see what happens. I'll be buying another 18650 next month though. I'm glad the battery works at least.
  13. If this is true, and Riva gets its battery and switch circuit from Joye, I'd guess that they are getting "factory seconds" off the assembly line from Joye at a slightly lower cost, then charging there own prices, as allowed by the market. I've never owned a Riva but I've heard a lot of feedback saying they aren't as good as a real eGo. But I also had one eGo battery last WAY over twice as long as another eGo battery, while in rotational use. Some are good some are not so good I guess.
  14. I've always wondered if the Riva and eGo had the same internal parts. And yes, with these findings, the eGo booster should work on the Riva, as well as the eGo since both "seem" to be the same battery and switch circuit. Unless the switch circuit is slightly different in some way. I'd guess that the PWM on the eGo is because of the switching circuit difference. I'd have to see for myself that the switching circuit is exactly the same though. Very interesting post!!!!!! (Reading VT posts is a GREAT way to spend an otherwise boring weekend!)
  15. Also, I've seen 510 to eGo adapters online. I'm going to try the one at cloudsofvapor.com I've been wanting to try the LR atomizer eGo tanks. I wasn't impressed with the standard resistance tank atomizers though. I think with the adapter, these would work with the tank setup. For now I'm happy with the LR and dual coil cartomizers though. I also have my 900mAh eGo battery to use if I wanna try the LR atomizer/tanks. I keep it for a backup battery.
  16. Page 23 of the ECF link I added above explains in some detail the differences. The complete post is worth the read. I check back on it from time to time to see if any updated news is available.
  17. I bought my NOEGO 18650 from http://www.jazzcartopipe.com and I'm loving it a lot! Runs for (5) days on a charge, for me. Medium to heavy vaping. I use 2.0 Ohm LR and dual coil cartomizers from vaporkings on mine. I got the 18650 battery and charger from madvapes. All together it was $55.00 plus shipping. I've only used eGo's until now. At first, for a very short time, the NOEGO felt large and a little heavy. But now it feels perfect. The eGo feels lite and weird to me after vaping with the NOEGO 18650. It's my favorite! They are coming out with a 5 Volt and a variable voltage switch module that can be swapped out for the standard switch module soon. I'll be purchasing them as soon as they become available. But for now I'm very happy with the thing the way it is! (The original switch was designed to be used with the dual coils) That's what it says on the ECF. Large post about these on that forum. http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/modder-accessories-supplier-forum/192307-new-18650-noego.html
  18. minicigarette.net is located in China and ships out of China. I know this because I made the mistake of ordering from them when I placed my first Ecig order. The order arrived after a short hold in customs and the dual eGo set was good quality BUT I would have rather ordered from a company in the US if I had to do it over again. I didn't realize they were located outside the US until after I placed my order.
  19. Cool idea for a review! I'm gonna check that place out. I've never heard of them. Always love to try new places! Thanks!
  20. Welcome Adam! This is a great place for vaping! Lots of wonderful people here!
  21. I found a very long post on ECF about the Noego 18650. It appears to be a pretty good PV. I think I'll buy one and see what its like. I'll probably get the batteries and charger from Madvapes.
  22. With any fiber filled cartomizer, I pop the soft cap off then fill it from the bottom using the condom method. Around 20 or 25 drops in one of the rubber sleeves is close to the right amount. Then I use a drip tip to vape. You'll add a few drops once in a while as the flavor/vapor lessons. I buy 2.0 Ohm LR (Low Resistance) cartomizers and the new dual coil cartomizers from vaporkings.com and both work great for me on my eGo batteries.
  23. I never had much luck with the Royalsmoker cartomizers. I also never bought any of the clear tube cartomizers. I do have the Smoketech dual coil cartomizers and the eGo cones fit over them. The "clear plastic" dual coil models have a slightly larger diameter (Plastic has to be thicker) so the eGo cones won't slide over the cartomizer. Both the 2.0 Ohm LR cartomizers and the dual coil cartomizers from vaporkings.com work great with the eGo! With or without the cones. Hope this helps!
