  1. I'm not for sure. I know that the Mega Cartomizer's I got from TW have a horizontally mounted coil at the bottom. I opened one up to see how it was designed. Ya, those are the cartomizer's I thought you were talking about on that site! They are out of stock right now. They have the cig filter colored one, that's about it right now though. Sounds like they are good ones!
  2. Did you get the soft tip's that says vertical coil?
  3. This is the manufacturers information on royalsmokers website. Looks like they might have had some problems with earlier production runs. They say they corrected the defects! They have a video to view also. NO LEAKING is what they claim! EDITION2 C-E2) Release 3 ALL WITH CERAMIC from 09.08.2010 No wick problems anymore ! No glue inside. We made the coil less tighten and the channel more open. We believe these are perfect now! For: M401 M402 M403 M6 M7 Joye 510 DSE901 Check out the V-GO (eGo type battery with blue LED and lens cap on the bottom) http://royalsmokers.com/Cartomizer.html
  4. I watched some other youtube videos dealing with these new cartomizers and one guy even did a "dry burn" test and it seems like the wick/fiber material holds up pretty well to the heating coil. It was getting really orange hot and glowing like a light bulb. LOL These might be something worth tryin out! I'm looking forward to seeing more feedback on the forum! I know I don't like the burnt taste from the standard cartomizer design. Maybe these are better. I hope!
  5. So basically, they do not have a filler material that burns BUT they have a wick/fiber material that burns! I don't know if that's gonna be any better or not. I'm hoping that the guy in the video can post a follow-up video and tell us how they taste after a longer usage period, or someone in the forum can tell us how they work for them! I'm kinda wondering!
  6. YES, its the same one! You can repost the video. It even mentioned that royalsmoker makes them. Same manufacturer I read about on two websites. Same info for filling them too!
  7. microcig dot com makes them it says! ***Cartomizers EDITION 2 Exclusive made by Microcig With Ceramic inside , No Cotton inside, No burning*** The info on cloudsofvapor sounds really cool! I'm gonna order some asap!
  8. Some sort of ceramic material inside instead of the regular filler material. That's what I think anyway. It says- NO COTTON INSIDE!
  9. Looks like royalsmokers dot com in China is where they come from, before the US gets them. The info on that site looks pretty cool!
  10. I'll probably try there Camel flavor. I see that the closest they have to Clove is "Orange Clove" so I might try that, but its a big maybe. Can't understand why they have a roast beef and roast chicken, but no Clove/Kretek/Djarum! Strange
  11. I take long draws also, so I guess its normal to get a few good puffs on these before drippin again. I get 3 or 4 usually, sometimes 5 or 6. I know the flavor is really good!
  12. I'm placing an order for a couple of drip tips. Gonna see how different ones work for me. Tired of pullin this empty cartridge off all the time. LOL Hey, I have a question. I was wondering how many puffs you guys get on two drops? I seem to only get a few before I have to drip in a couple more. I guess that's normal though? Still new to this! The taste and vapor is really good!
  13. Do they have a plastic taste to them after a short time? What brand/type are they?
  14. I bought two TW Mega cartomizers recently. I liked them (A LOT) at first, but then it started developing a plastic taste. I don't know? They leak out the bottom too, just not as much.
  15. I'm over reacting about the leaking a little bit. LOL I'm kinda OCD about it I guess. My two eGo's came with cone shaped atomizers. No cone covers. I thought the cone covers were mostly for looks. I was wrong. I've been trying to just drip in a couple of drops at a time. I really need to buy a drip tip though. I've been pulling the empty cartridge off each time, and when I pop it back on I think the slight pressure inside is pushing liquid out through the bottom a little bit. I'm guessing.
  16. A fresh air passage way (tube) directly under the coil could be ran to the side of the cartomizer and atomizer body I would think. I don't know for sure though. I'm just tired of E Liquid running out of the bottom. LOL
  17. I've been trying to find pictures or cut-away drawings of cartomizers and atomizers. I opened up a slightly used mega cartomizer yesterday. I was surprised at how well its designed. For only a few bucks! Two air passages to draw vapor up from the coil. (One air passage at each end of the coil) That explains the 2 holes on the rectangular insert that's inside the top of the mouthpiece. The coil has fibers running through it and the ends of those fibers line up with the bottom of the two air passages. The fluid reservoir holds a lot of filler material. The filler is centered over the top of the coil. The one main question I have about cartomizers and atomizers is - Why do they draw fresh air from the bottom, around the battery connector? The bottom of cartomizers and atomizers have small notches cut out between them and the top of the battery to draw in air. The tops of my batteries, around the threaded area, also have notches cut into the metal to let fresh air into the bottom of the cartomizer and atomizer. But all these notches also let E liquid out of the bottom of the cartomizers and atomizers! Why don't cartomizers and atomizers draw fresh air from the side of the main body, about half way up, so E liquid doesn't drip through so much? Am I missing something? Is there a reason for the fresh air inlet to be at the very bottom? I'm still new to all this but I am wondering why these are both designed this way. I know that you'd have to make sure not to cover up a side mounted air inlet with your hand or fingers, but that's also true with bottom air inlets too! Maybe the bottom air inlet is because of design costs? I don't know. I've just been wondering about this for a while!
  18. Sorry, I'm still a little new to all this. I just noticed that I was talking about the metal "MESH" (across the the top of the bridge) but was actually saying wick in my description of how I removed the bridge. The braided metal material over the bridge is called mesh, according to the video. The wick is the long fiber material under the bridge. I have been pulling the wick out of my atomizers, now that I watched the videos. It seems to burn and cause some of the bad taste. Also the metal mesh and bridge have been removed from my atomizer that I drip into now. But it seems to be pretty easy to remove the wick, metal mesh and the bridge thanks to the videos on here!

  20. I got a double eGo set. You'll love them! The batteries I have charge quickly. They last me a long time. The cone shaped atomizers that mine came with are great. No complaints at all! I ordered some mega cartomizers last week. I'm getting a couple of drip tips and some other liquids soon. Trying out different things. Good luck with yours!
  21. I would think that a low resistance atomizer would already be putting out lots of vapor. Do you just want to be able to drip into one more directly? A good LR atomizer should be vaporizing the fluid like mad, with all that extra heat the LR coil produces. From what I've read on the forums. And you are right, no info on removing the wick and bridge on a LR atomizer. It must be a no no. Maybe one of the youtube videos mentions it.
  22. I kinda stumbled on a post about an E Cigarette on youtube. I was interested in them instantly since I'm into electronics as a hobby and also as my life's work too. I started researching all the types and models. I decided to order an eGo double set. As soon as my eGo's got here I was impressed! Now that I'm direct dripping I'm loving it! I have a 12 pack of cigarettes here. Djarum Black mini cigars really. Since the flavored cigarette ban took effect! I smoke one outside at night once in a while. Each time I smoke a real cigarette I notice the taste and heat is less appealing to me. I still have a few in the pack. They sit on my kitchen table now pretty much. LOL
  23. I started out with my eGo's, but since I removed the wick and bridge from one of my atomizers the vapor production is a lot higher now. (The vapor levels went from high to really high!) I'm direct dripping now. So I bet the nicotine level is making a difference for you as well. I've been getting a little lite headed from time to time. I've started taking hits a little less frequently. I'm vaping a 24 mg liquid also. You're not a nicotine wimp!
  24. I've looked at pics of drip tips on several sites. From the pics, I can't really tell how well they line up with the top of the atomizers. I guess they work though. After removing the wick and bridge it's pretty much a straight line to the heating coil now. I'm looking for one that has a longer "inside" barrel closest to the top of the atomizer coil, so it will direct the fluid well. I've been wanting to buy a drip tip. Can you recommend a good one? And which ones to stay away from? I might be "over thinking" this a little bit! LOL
  25. Removing the wick and bridge is easier than it looks! I just did it to one of my cone shaped atomizers. I've been in electronics ever since I was 18 (assembly, final test, PCB design then supervisor later on) but I was a little afraid to mess with these. Small area and I've never worked with these before. I just took a micro flat tip screwdriver and separated the wick across the center of the bridge and moved each half from on top of the bridge. Then I pulled the bridge straight off and upwards. After the bridge is removed the two sections of wick can be wiggled off clean from where its connected to the body of the atomizer. Easy! More vapor! WAY WAY better taste now! Thanks to everybody's posts in here, I gave it a try! Now I'm drippin MORE easily! (WHY DON'T THEY SELL A BRIDGE-LESS ATOMIZER FOR DIRECT DRIPPING?) Or do they? I'm still new to vaping. I've only had my eGo's for a short time. Do the drip tips focus the fluid straight down to the center of the atomizers? It seems to me that a long tube on a drip tip should be standard, to get the fluid directed into the center of the heating coil. And a bridge-less atomizer would be great for this!
