It is satisfying, nothing like drawing a nice warm vape from your own hand mad mod. Top that off with some DIY juice and it feels like a real accomplishment.

Just built my first. Single 18650, momentary switch and 3x2x1 project box from RadioShack and I ordered a 510 from fat daddy vapes. 15$ total and hits like a champ

It's 2 copper springs from an old 6v lantern battery I had in the garage. I unrolled the spring to where it was just 2 wraps. It holds it in nice and firm. Did the video link work for you?

I have since removed the hot glue cause it looked ghetto and used a small amount of gorilla glue and covered it in liquid black tape for a clean look

Well I decided to make an unregulated 18650 box mod last night. I ordered the 510 connectors from fatdaddyvapes and they came in befor my MOSFET did. So I went to radio shack and picked up a momentary switch and a 3x2x1 project box, came up to 7.75$ and the 510 was 7$ so I've got 15$ in this nice little box mod. Hits great, next one will be a duel 18650 then probably a lipo model since I have so many lipos for my Rc planes and heli's. Look up "quit sores" I've been vaping for a little over 2 months and about 2 weeks ago I started getting sores in my mouth. Like most if you I assumed it was from vaping because that's the only thing that's changed. It's not, it's from quoting smoking. I smoke Marlboro reds, a pack a day for 17 years and quit over night when I started vaping. When you smoke you mouth builds up a layer of tough skin from all the poisons in the tobacco and when you quit smoking that layer starts to wear down and once it's gone you have a very sensitive mouth and gums, the slightest thing can cause a sore to pop up. I quit vaping a few days ago to see if that will help but I'm afraid it won't. From all the reading I've done online of others that suffer, it has lasted for years in some people. And the worst part is, everyone that went back to smoking said they went away, so what do you do. Suffer with mouth sores all the time and not eat or drink, or pick up a pack of smokes and start killing yourself all over again. I hope mine go away because they are miserable.

The reason it turns darker is the steeping process, when I DIY my own liquid it's clear. I follow a steeping process that takes 2 weeks and after 2 weeks it's got a nice golden or sometimes redish hue to it depending the flavor. My honeydew turns redish but strawberry and cream turns a golden/amber color.as a flavor steeps it will begin to taste different too, more of the flavor is coming out and blending with the VG/PG better

Be glad to help, you can't change the resistance. The resistance, referred to as ohms, is determined by the coil. The vamo can adjust the volts or watts that's sent to the coil. Let's say you have two tanks and the coils have a different ohm. One has an ohm of 1.8 and the other is 2.2, if you set the vamo to volts mode then it will fire both coils at whatever voltage it's set at. When you do that the voltage may work great for one coil but give you a burnt taste with the other since the ohm rating is different. When you set the device to wattage mode it will read the ohm of the coil and use ohms law to determine what voltage to use. Let's use the same coil example and set the watts to 8 and use ohms law, http://ohmslawcalculator.com/ohms_law_calculator.php 1.8ohm coil at 8 watts will be firing 3.79volts to the coil 2.2ohm coil at 8 watts will fire it at 4.1 volts It may seem confusing but once you set it to watts mode and fine a wattage that taste good then you shouldn't have to change it much regardless of what ohm coil you use.

I've been DIYing my own juice for close to 2 weeks. I really like honeydew so I made some of it up at 90/10 VG/pg and 20% flavor. Let it steep for over a week. Dripped some of it and it was just so so, then I added 1ml of sweetener to it and shazzam, perfect drip flavor for sub ohm. I made a 15ml bottle and I'm about to make a 30ml bottle tonight. I've got some strawberry and cream flavor coming tomorrow so I hope I can get it to turn out just as good.

I second the protank, my wife loves her aerotank. Evods are good too, I use a kayfun when I'm not dripping, but it's a little more advanced tank for a beginner.

I like it way better. The only downside I can see is I'm going through juice like crazy, but that's to be expected since I'm sub ohming. I'm actually trying to sell/trade one if my VTRs now and get another mech and some rda's.

Here's a good site with a calculator http://www.ohmslawcalculator.com/ohms_law_calculator.php Take my setup on my hades, my battery is 4.2 fully charged, my coil has a resistance of .33 ohms so by knowing those 2 variables I know it's firing at 53 watts and drawing close to 13 amps Hope that helps you a little
