Only issue I have is dry mouth and throat nothing that a water bottle can't cure. Chantix gave me all of the crazy dreams and restlessness and at the end of the day didn't work for me.

Welcome. It's a great feeling to stop smoking. I've really been appreciating the money savings myself. I'm thinking about getting into the hobby side soon. Been shopping around for hybrid rba's. I want to build and wick my own coils but don't want to give up the tank. I've rebuilt 3 Aspire bdc's but my eyes won't put up with much more of that they are micro in size and without the tools almost impossible to rebuild. My particular experience in electronic devices goes back years. I used to hand wind armatures for small electric motors and have extensive experience in rechargable batteries from nicad to lipo and know how to charge and care for them. Alot of tools from my R/C hobby will cross to vaping the only thing I did was get an ohmmeter specifically for coils.

My wife and I quit smoking by vaping. She quit immediately and I followed a few days later. No issues with after meals morning coffee or the alchoholic beverage either. I'm sure it's not completely healthy but compared to a cigarette and the amount of toxins and carcinogens well.......vaping is undoubtably a move in the right direction. We both breathe alot better now and the wheezing is going away. We're not out of breath just walking up stairs or any incline for that matter. We've kept the nic level high for now because we're long time smokers. Next week we reduce the nic to 16mg. At first it was trying not hard by any means because we didn't have to go outside anymore for the nic fix alot of old ways changed because we could vape about anywhere at any time. So ya there were some mental adjustments. We tried a analog 3 weeks after we quit and well it was nasty and smelled bad. Personally it's worth it actually noticing the lungs clearing and feeling better. No more smell on clothing and exuding from the body after coming in the house. The best bonus for me is the money savings. The two of us would spend $11 a day on 2 packs and now it's $10 a week on 2 bottles of juice. Does it help you quit? Definately yes we smoked for over 30 years. Was it hard? Not really but there was an adjustment and learning curve. My only regret is that we didn't try it sooner. If you do decide to try take the great advice here into consideration ask around to see if there's a good shop in your area that you could go to for help too. We have a great place that helped us and only sold us what we needed they are always there for us when we need help too. Anyway welcome and I hope you find what your looking for good luck in your quit.

Local juice Stars and Stripes, wild cherry, cream, blueberry 24mg nic. 100% vg. Smooth fruity creamy blend wished I was ready to come off of the nic it sure would be better. The 0mg sample was great. Being new I don't want to mail order yet because I don't really know what I'd like. I pay $5.00 for 10ml mixed up in front of me at the local shop so far I found I don't like anything with vanilla. This one gets a spot in my book in the plus column next to the jolly rancher flavors.
-
My local shop uses straight vg the flavors good and with 24mg nic hits the throat well for me. I'm going to order some with 20% to 30% pg to try I read it's suppose to carry the flavor better than straight vg.
-
Gawd I guess I'm a lightweight then I use 10ml a week but then I'm at 24mg nic. Tonite is going to be a test for me, going to visit some friends and there will be drinks and a couple of heavy analog users maybe I can convince at least one to convert

I picked up an extra tank today went with a Kanger pro tank 3 to go with my aspire et-s. Comparing factory coils I believe the kanger is a little better, I just rebuilt 2 aspire coils following rip trippers video on youtube and their performance is great now, The first one I took apart had the coil leads touching and was shorting and not giving a good burn. When the Kanger gets weak I'll look into rebuilding that one with hopefully the same result. Jeez those coils are tiny.
-
The coil in your iclear is in the bottom and is replaceable, A good glass tank is recommended though because some juices attack plastic and cause cracks and leaks. Your battery seems to be a good one and at 1600mah should last through out a day of normal use. Kanger makes good tanks as well as Aspire, If you stay with your battery make sure the tank is for ego thread or it comes with an adapter for 510 to ego. I use an Aspire ET-S and a Kanger Pro Tank 3. Both perform well for me and only time will tell which will come out on top in my little world. I was kicking the idea around about a battery too but my Smoktech vv winder is working out well at 1300mah it lasts 13 hours of my normal use. I do charge my winder every night though. I've only been at this for roughly 3 weeks and I'm sure some more experienced members will have great suggestions for you I can just relate my experience of what I currently use. Welcome and enjoy the forum.

Thank you....I was a little down on myself not having the same result as my wife at the time. Got over it easy enough because the end result is the same. I've been trying to guide my last 2 smokers at work one is opening up to the idea seeing my results first hand and knowing my past my boss on the other hand......well he'll take more time I guess. The advice and guidance I've received from here has been invaluable to me and I'm sure iAm will get the same from everyone too.

Can't top that I live around 3 one horse towns and the biggest military base in the free world lol. Anyway I resisted at first tobacco only or this won't work for me. Ya right a couple of days in and I was done with tobacco. The girl at our store mixed up some jolly rancher watermelon for me and hit it perfectly, I've been on a fruity candy addiction the store owners wife has a juice she created and I'm loving my apple bottom too, Back on topic......Nice setup use what works for you being a now ex smoker I followed the shops suggestion and don't have plans to change from what I use anytime soon. My battery lasts all day my tank has been flawless and I in no way crave analogs. One day I might go to an itaste box mod and a compatible tank just for double the battery life over what I have now.

We tried the same thing 2 years ago with njoy from the convenience store and it didn't work for us at all. We went to our local vape shop recently for advice because there's just so much to learn and research. They set us up to suit our needs to quit analogs. This Sunday it will have been three weeks smoke free. Everything we bought paid for itself in the first 2 week. We started high with the nic level and the cravings are no different than with analogs although my wife is enjoying her new go to flavor a lot. We came out of the shop with 2 kits chargers and 2 10ml bottles of 24mg nic juice at $106 out the door. I dropped mine on my desk at work yesterday and killed my battery. Our shop gave me a new one and a 3ml sample of a new juice creation to try. They warranty everything they sell in house for 30 days no question after that it's up to the manufacturer. There's a lot of friendly knowledgeable people here that can steer you in the right direction so you can reach your goal and be analog free. I was a pack a day smoker for over 30 years and my wife was down to half a pack before we made the switch. We use 10ml of juice a week at $5 a piece compared to analogs at $11 a day for 2 packs. Now that we have a more informed direction I'll be able to cut our costs even further buying online. I'll always go to my local shop everyone there is awesome and I can sample till I turn blue lol. All of the juice is made in front of you while you wait and you can see what they use. In the beginning don't beat yourself up when you backpedal to a analog I did at first because my wife turned to vaping and never looked back. I went from a pack a day to one or two a day for about 3 days mileage may vary. Anyway sorry for carrying on good luck in your venture and welcome.....

LOL no big. I only sacrificed a shot anyway and had one for myself while doing it. I picked up a pint of rot gut yesterday to continue my cleaning adventure. The goose is back in the dark for another time, and ya I have a real good friend that I got it from we've been there and back together and rode alot this country over the years and we never buy eachother a cheap bottle of anything it would be disrespectful of our frindship. Sorry bout the withdrawals I know they suck.
-
Your tank is similar to mine in construction and no wicks. I'm not sure if the mouthpiece unscrews or not I really couldn't tell. The bottle of goose I have is a gift from a couple of years back. I usually don't drink anything other than a cold beer here and there. Check you tube there's tons of video's, reviews and how to's

I use Aspire ET-S tanks and all I do is break them down and rinse with hot tap water then dry with paper towels and cotton swabs. When I bought our setups I went to ebay and got a 10 pack of coils for $12 shipped. and 2 more tanks for $6.75 each. I have 2 flavors I love for the moment. My wife is still sampling. I have 4 coils that have been soaking in some Grey Goose for 2 days because it seemed that they were down on performance. I'm going to pull them out and air dry for a few days to see if I can extend the life somewhat. Our local store started us on 50/50 pg/vg which shouldn't be too hard on the coils that and we never run voltages over 3,6. I have been eyeing my ultrasonic cleaner and maybe running a couple of older coils through with either more grain alcohol or denture tabs. Anyway sorry about the ramble. We haven't noticed any long term issues with flavors but then our tanks don't use wicks either.

I have a tank loaded with a juice from my local shop. They call it clear and mild. It resembles a black and mild for the first beer and after a couple it seems to favor a red boro depending on my beer of the night. Either way it's been working. My other two flavors with beer.......ya.....not so much.
-
The wife and I did a few weeks back. I was off a few days when I posted the banner oh well I'll correct it one day. We had the analog itch once or twice but didn't act on the urge. The almost slip was on the 4th, good company, ice cold Bud Light, good food I sure wanted a red boro but didn't. Just got easier from there. The wheezing and breathlessness is disapearing and the persistent cough is finally easing.

In my house it's how good is it. We quit smoking when we started 2 weeks ago. Our first bottles lasted a little while. The second bottles we bought not so long. My wife got a local flavor she loves and went through hers in 3 days. I'm not as fast and can make it last 7 days even as good as our local shop girl mixed the juice. I'll go through 10ml of 24mg nic of 50/50 blend in a week. We're still using our local shop exploring flavors till we hit a few go to's after that it's bye $5.00 for 10ml. I've got one go to I'm gonna try from an online store and see how that works out.
-
I looked and studied the equipment before I made my first purchase and mine was going to be x2 because my wife was doing it too. We went with smok vv winders in 1300mah. Aspire et-s tanks bottom coils and hold roughly 2 to 3 ml I believe. These setups suit our needs perfectly. We were long time smokers and wanted to quit. 2 weeks analog free for my wife now and 6 days for me btw. I guess you have to look at what your needs and useage are. We use ours to replace analogs and eventually live nic free so we vape the same as when we smoked. Some people I know vape throughout the day and require more elaborate setups and higher mah batteries.

Happy Independence Day!!!!!! Just the dog and I tonight. The wife in-laws and granddaughter are braving fireworks traffic. Lower back's been giving me hell for 3 days now and walking too much is out for me. My local shop mixed up some new juice for me and it's real good. Gonna hang out back with a few cold Bud Lights and watch all of the neighbors fireworks.

Lol right. Technology supposedly makes life easier if not more frustrating at times. -
Thanks y'all. So far we've been doing pretty good. My wife's going through a little more juice than I am and her coil isn't as efficient as it was a week ago. I swapped the bottom of my tank for hers until I can get to the shop for new coils and juice. I'm a bugger cheater with the analogs than she is, but getting better.

Morning, the topic is pretty clear for me when I found it. I signed up yesterday and have been like a kid in a toy store lol.I thought I posted my four yesterday but when I checked it was only three. Anyway here's four. I'm off to other sections again. Y'all have a great day............. -
There I go bouncing into a new forum and not paying attention to where I am. I posted an intro in the new members section first lol. Now I'm here just to show how this weeks been going. Anyway my wife and I started our vaping experience last Thursday. We really really want to quit smoking and start feeling better, that and $5.35 a pack times two daily adds up at the end of a month. So far thanks to a local store we have good starter kits that fit our needs perfectly. I started with a tobacco liquid at 24mg. Close as I could get to a red boro. The wife went with her favorite drink and the same mg. So far it's working out well. We haven't changed our routine except for the fact that we don't light up anymore. I thought it was going to be a harder transition than what it was. Well......truthfully...........The cold beer after a long ride........o.k. one then. The wife with her morning coffee once. We still have the analogs and a lighter in a drawer. i have one in a pocket on the bike, but we are 97% vape to this point, and will be 100% sooner than later. Looks like the flavor game is going to be a fun one to play. My wife has an easier time than I do. My mind tells me tobacco flavors only, but I'm willing to try anything once.......maybe twice if I like it. We'll be heading to our local store for some sampling this weekend we'll be out of juice by then. They sell 10ml for $5. and that will hold us until I can place an online order when I settle on that decision. My 3ml tank lasts me for 2 days at an as need useage. Battery is close depending on the voltage I'm using at the time the wife is better she's no higher than 3.6v. At this point I wished we would have started this years ago my initial investment will have paid for itself in savings by next Monday and the health benefits from not poisioning our bodies anymore goes without saying.

Thanks y'all. I have been at a pack a day for a while now and my wife can get a few days out of a pack. We both smoked Marlboro special blend short. We want to try some different flavors, my wife seems to adapt easier than I do. I know alot of it for me is in my head for some reason I'm stuck with wanting a tobacco flavor that I'm used to but, not much luck yet. I have a clear mild that's smooth but it's starting to remind me of a pipe tobacco. I'll probably go back to my local store and sample a couple more of theirs before a make an online purchase. They get five dollars for a 10 ml bottle and, we use 24mg nicotine. We rode a local watering hole that my friend owns and after beer 2 I could have had a good old smoke, but didn't have any on me. No big deal though because the cravings were taken care of. The wifes down fall is the first one of the day with coffee, but she's hanging tough.

Morning everyone, My wife and I are new to the whole vaping experience and, smokers for 30+ years. We just started last Thursday. We looked into this for a few months but, there was so much information that it got confusing, and fast. We were referred to a local store so we could get a better idea of what we needed. The owner and employees were outstanding and we went ahead and got our starter kits there. They steered us away from the $25 starters because they didn't fit our needs and I'm glad they did. The both of us would have been dissapointed in the performance and experience. We got out of the store for a $100 for both of us. We got 2 smoktech vv winders, Aspire ET-S tanks, 2 chargers and, 2 10ml bottles of juice. Since last Thursday I don't think either of us had more than 5 cigarettes between us. I went with a tobacco flavor and I'm experimenting with useage. Trying to keep the same schedule as I was smoking. We haven't completely given up the old cigarette yet but still have the pack I bought last week and there's still 15 in it. Anyway I don't want to ramble just drop a note and continue to the rest of the forum.
