I have a kayfun lite plus clone lite plus = adjustable airflow lite = non adjustable airflow 3.1 = ??? clone vs original: steep price difference. bout it... my clone did come with a sloppy drip tip that whistled. I took that tip off after the first day and replaced it with a taifun drip tip that fits very snugly, doesn't whistle, and looks much better IMO... honestly I would say to save your money and get a clone. not worth the extra $60+ for an original.

haha no button pushing. sorry if it came off as harsh. I may have been crabby that morning was just trying to explain a bit of the difference. anywho. I can't speak for kanger products as the only ones ive tried were horrible. the nautilus does have much better flavor than the innokin iclear 30S, and iclear x.i. but the nautilus doesn't hold a torch to the kayfun... kayfun flavor is 10x stronger and 10x more vape production. and just the satisfaction of making your own setup makes it even better yet!

pics or it didn't happen! lol

personally I love my KFL+ (KayFun Lite Plus) glad I bought it as I haven't really used anything since. taifuns are alright from what I hear, but I've never used one. down side to the KFL+ is you gotta empty the tank if you need to fix a wicking problem or replace the coil. and the fill hole is kinda small, but a needle top bottle solves that for filling. as for coils: I use 32g wire with 6.5 wraps for a 1.6ohm coil. fires quick and produces a lot of vape no need for 2ohm + coils. I also use a vamo v5 and it works amazingly well will the KFL+ original drip tip taifun drip tip I don't own a taifun, but I did trade tanks with a vapeshop owner months ago and the tank he swapped with me had a taifun drip tip on it. That quickly became my favorite drip tip.

I have a taifun drip tip on my KFL+ I like the look of it and love how ridiculously snug it fits. can easily pick up my whole mod by the drip tip and give it a few shakes without worrying about it popping off and dropping the tank+ mod

helps having control over your voltage/wattage too... I run ~10w on my coil... as for cleaning...psssh I did enough heat and rinse with that coil. its been used a good month or better and I just felt like making a new one lol. Not like I'm going to run out of wire any time soon....that spool is gonna last forever!

so you mixed a tank, a brand name, and another tank that is in a different league and skill level all together... protank - made by kangertech aspire (brand name) - which one? ET-S? nautilus? vivi nova? kayfun - which one? 3.1, lite, lite plus? mini? (not even the same category as the previous two...kayfuns are fully rebuildable and more for advanced users) that said: I own a couple aspire ET-S's and a nautilus, all great tanks for those that just want to screw in a coil pack and be done with it... but I also own a kayfun lite plus (clone) and since getting that and building a coil for it...I have no desire to ever go back to the old tanks because the kfl+ flavor and vapor production is 10x better and it is cheaper in the long run to maintain. also don't have to worry about the companies no longer making coils for it in the future since I make my own.

use 32g. less wraps needed and smaller physical size.

burnt taste almost always comes from burning the wick itself or blackening the wick (burning it lol) and it is almost always due to the wick not keeping up with the heat. if your wick can keep itself saturated in juice it wont burn, but if the heat is burning the juice off faster than the wick can replace it then it ends up burning the wick. usually you combat this with lower voltage/wattage to slow the burn rate, or thinner juice or just better wicking material so the juice wicks faster...or you adjust the airflow of the tank so when you pull suction in the tank it pulls more juice into the wick.
-
NP just wrap it around a 2mm or 5/64" drillbit and should work out nicely. I just made myself a new 1.6 coil last night as my old one was getting a bit gunked up and very blackened lol.

currently been exclusively on "miss white" by Alpha vape royal flush started tasting funky to me. Used to love it, but now it and several of my other flavors are tasting kinda blah...

and you couldn't bring yourself to build a 32g 7.5 wrap 1.6ohm coil? lol you would be surprised at how frikken fast it fires and how much vape a single 1.6 coil on 32g can put off in a hurry... I can more than keep up with my buddies 28g sub ohm build...
-
sounds like it is not wicking fast enough... or you are chain vaping and it is not able to keep up...either way it means you are burning the wick. I'm no KPT expert as I avoid kanger products like the plague...but my guess is you are using a thicker juice with it and it doesn't like it lol. you can soak your coil in alcohol for a couple hours and change out the juice to get rid of any lingering burnt taste and clean up any gunk on the coil, but you may still run the risk of burning it again. sometimes you can get it burning better by limiting the airflow into the tank to help pull more juice into the coil whether it be via airflow limiter, or your finger over the air intake to pull more juice in, but only give it a few draws like that...doing it too frequent can cause flooding and gurgling (too much juice)

I use a pair of ICR 18350's 900mAh that came with my vamo... they fire it the fastest and strongest. my go-to for a single battery is my orbtronic IMR 18650 2900mAh button top. It lasts the longest of my trio of battery setups. and lastly use an AW 2000mAh 18650 button top as well in the vamos. my buddy also uses the orbtronic IMR 18650 button top 2900mAh batteries in his magneto mech mod.
-
yep. That's what I use for mine. The only catch is you need to build coils for 1.2ohm+ or it won't fire it. I noticed my chineseum vamo v5 clone won't even fire 1.2ohm but my non clone version of the v5 will fire a 1.2ohm coil. my current coil is 1.6ohm and both fire that one no problem.
-
kayfuns are great tanks I have a KayFun Lite Plus clone. I use mine on a vamo v5. means I can't make a sub ohm build, but that's fine with me. I do however prefer faster firing of my coils so with that said: I use 32g kanthal wire and make a single coil build with currently organic cotton. you can pick up a bag of organic cotton at wallgreens around the cosmetics section. I use a 5/64" drill bit to wrap around for the coil build, and I pre-torch the wire before I try to wrap it to make it easier to work with. IIRC I used 7.5 wraps to come up with a 1.6ohm coil. It may sound high for some of the RDA guys out there, but it fires ridiculously fast due to the small wire size, and it is compatible with all mods.

Japanese organic cotton vs. domestic?
Mr Smith replied to LOSTSOUL VAPORZ's topic in General Vaping Discussion
I just bought some organic cotton at wallgreens. going to try it out tonight. That $4 bag will probably last me a year lol -
KayFun Lite Plus clone for me Ever since I got one: really haven't touched any of my other tanks... Before I got one: used to swap between many of my tanks to give the others a short break so they could catch up on wicking to avoid dry hits... KFL+: NEVER a dry or burnt hit and AMAZING flavor!!!
-
my thoughts exactly. I didn't buy a KFL+ to be dripping it all the time, and don't see the point in converting it into a dripper when you can just buy a dripper for a reasonable price...
-
should also note 1.2ohm is often the lowest resistance many vv/vw mods will fire. My vamo won't fire anything below 1.2ohm. There are vv/vw mods that will fire below 1.2ohm though like the DNA30 mod which can fire sub ohm coils. Those are very expensive mods though...
-
what is there to research for this mod? It was designed to use a stacked 18350 config. no different than stacking AA batteries in a flashlight. The mod's electronics automatically compensate for the higher voltage input power. Output of the mod remains the same. The vamo is one of very few mods that allow stacking 18350 batteries. stacking 18350s should not be done in mods not designed for it.

maybe your just not letting your coil heat up enough, or it is taking your device too long to heat your coil up. You may be impatient like me and need to do what I call a rapid fire build.. use 32g wire and wrap it 5.5-7.5 times in a tight coil config making it 2mm in size (wrap around a 5/64" drill bit). then wrap your cotton around the coil since you use a dripper. make sure to position your coil and cotton close to the air intake to maximize vape flow.
-
6 is definitely low... I run 6 in my KFL+ because the KFL+ burns through juice with a quickness and has a much more potent vape hit than any of your pre-built tank setups.
-
I prefer to stay at 1.8 ohm or lower. I build coils between 1.2-1.6ohm but my pre build aspire coils are 1.8ohm

might I suggest "Boba's Bounty" I think you will really enjoy it.
