  1. Thanks for suggestions. I have tried all of your suggestions. I was sure it just wasn't making good contact, but have had absolutely no luck. I've tried three different batteries, pulling the center connections out more so they make a good connection and removed the juice feeder. It just doesn't make sense to me. I have other things to do today, but later I will pull apart an old carto and test from that to make sure there is a good connection between the 510 connector and the carto. Is it possible that the switch or button is bad so that it will pass 4v with no resistance but once resistance is applied it doesn't deliver enough amperage or voltage to fire up the coil?
  2. I didn't realize the center connector pin wasn't fixed on the connector! That really got my hopes up and had to be the problem, why else would I get voltage on a meter but nothing on a carto. That however did not fix the problem, nothing on 2 good cartos. I still get 4.14volts steady on the meter, I keep checking on a meter to make sure I don't have an intermittent switch problem. Thanks Brian
  3. Hi Jolly I am testing the voltage at the 510 threads. I just don't understand why I get 4volts at the thread and nothing when I attach the cartos. The LR cartos I have read 1.8ohm and the regular cartos read 3.5ohm on my meter. I wish the wetbox was a little better quality because I love setup with the juice feeder.
  4. Thanks Ouster, I was afraid I'd somehow burnt it. I got it from CloudsofVapor and the web site said LR were ok, guess not. Where did you get your wetbox? They are hard to get ahold of.
  5. I have had a 3.7v wetbox for about 6weeks and love it. Today it quit firing. I tested it on a multimeter and it is reading 4.1volts when the button is pressed. When I connect a carto it will not fire. I tried three different cartos 2 regular and 1 LR none fire on the wetbox but work fine on my Ego. I also swapped batteries to just to make sure. I'm not sure whats going on, it shows 4.1volts on a meter with no resistance but once a carto is connected, nothing. The connections are clean. Any insight would be appreciated.
  6. Thanks for the confirmation. I will you use the option to add 2 batteries.
  7. I hate to ask a stupid question, but I don't want to but the wrong batteries. Are these the right ones and is this a good price? http://www.batteryjunction.com/combo-tl100-2-uf-16340.html
  8. It seems these new cartomizers sell out pretty quickly. If you want to try them, your best bet may be to go to cloudsofvapor.com and use the 'notify me' option. They will send you a one time email when they get them in stock. A little follow up review. They do work well and last a long time between fills. Are they the future of cartomizers? We'll see. For easy of use, I would still recommend the standard 510 cartomizers with a drip tip. I've been using the ceramic cartos pretty much exclusively for almost four days and am on my second one. I vape quite a bit. They do seem to consistently produce a large amount of vapor and good flavor. They are 2.5ohm so HV is not recommended. I may have run my first one dry and killed it, so I am trying to make sure the current one stays filled, but there is no visual way to tell if you are running it dry. So far I like them. All methods of vaping have their positives and negatives and we all have our personal preferences. I like the fact that we do have so many choices. Hope to hear some other opinions.
  9. If you mean The Vapor Talk Store, there is a shop button at the top under the forum header. The ceramic cartomizers were purchased from Wordupecig.
  10. Thanks for the link Jiffy. It's nice to read an article on E-cigs that doesn't make me want to rip my hair out. I love that they brought up the lame argument on the toxic chemicals and shot it down.
  11. I will keep you posted. I've tried regular 510 and LR cartomizers and found them just OK. My primary juice doesn't taste as good at higher voltage. I pretty much just direct drip when I use any of my other juices, some of which taste better at 5volts than 3.7volts. I will give it a try at some point, because different combination's yield different results.
  12. The RoyalSmokes XL ceramic cartomizers arrived in the mail today and 90mls of my favorite juice. The five pack came with the fill tip, so if you have a syringe, your golden. Wordupecig says they hold 1.9mls so I put in 1.6mls just to be on the safe side. You can see the coil with the wicking fed through the center. As I was filling the juice reached the top of the wick within seconds. Filling was straight forward. I used my Joker AV and turned it down to 3.75Volts. The draw is very light and warm in your throat. The casing does not heat up, actually stays very cool. The vapor production is immense. Frequent, repeated draws produce consistent flavor and vapor. Also tried it on an eGo battery with the same results. Remember this is just a first impression, I've only been vaping on it for an hour now. So I have no idea how long they will last and produce good results. The instructions say you should only refill 4x. What appealed to me was, no filler material. Just a wick and reservoir with free floating fluid. One negative is that there is no visual way to see if your running dry. Just overfilled it adding more juice, left the syringe in place and withdrew the excess. It will leak out of the bottom if overfilled. Wipe off and vape. Hope this helps.
  13. Yes the Blu was crappy, but if I hadn't bought one or if it was actually a good product I never would have found this web forum. I liked your review. Hopefully it will give new members a heads up when purchasing an e-cig.
  14. I was looking at the Precious as well, but for the money you could get the Joker AV and the eGo. If you get a Joker AV, a multimeter is a necessary for adjusting your voltage to find your sweet spot. I've had great luck with mine so far.
  15. When looking for extra batteries, I ran into a chart that stated LiFePO4 123A were good for up to 2000 charges and Li Ion batteries were good for about 500. Someone please correct me on this if I read it wrong.
