I hated the taste of cigarettes. When I left the house, I would have my pack of Camel Crush a lighter and a pack of gum. I chewed the gum when I smoked because I disliked the taste so much. Everyone is different. Some want their vaping experience to emulate that of smoking a real cigarette. People like me just had to have the nic. and the action of smoking (routine, throat hit). The taste and smell were undesirable to me. While this flavor failed on many levels, I am going to continue to try different things, but for me, tobacco won't be one of them. Although I quite enjoy Viking Vapors RY4. That stuff is damn good.

DIY Flavorshack has done no wrong as far as I am concerned, but I am not digging the Donut Hole flavored juice I am now vaping. I tried this juice a couple of weeks ago when I first got it. I didn't really care for it then, but I didn't give it much of a chance. I am revisiting it tonight using my Joker set at 5v with a clean atty. Something is just not right about this juice. I have seen a couple of other reviews for this and people really dug it. But everyone tastes things differently. Here is my take on the flavor. According to the DIY Flavorshack this is described as a powdered donut hole. I know donut holes. When I worked at a bakery many many years ago, I started off working 3rd shift making the donuts for the following mornings. I have made a crap load of donut holes in my life. If anything, this juice kind of taste like a glazed donut hole, with old glaze. To get any kind of donut hole flavor when vaping, you really have to pay attention. You have to be cognizant of what you are doing while vaping. By doing this, you can pick out some donut flavors. I don't know about you, but I don't want to have to pay that much attention to something when vaping. I want to relax. When I relax and just vape this stuff, in all honesty, it kind of tastes like soap. Now I don't eat soap, but we can relate smells to taste. And this reminds me of Irish Spring. It really puts me off. The throat hit and vapor are great, but I somehow expect to exhale bubbles when I vape this stuff. Dawn makes some awesome juice's, but this one is just not for me.

Yeah, I am a pretty light vapor comparatively. I don't use it constantly. A little in the morning and in the car. Some in the afternoon and then at night. Thinking back, I have 5 different pc's and I like to use different ones throughout the day, hence the 2 day battery life. Sorry about that.

Yeah, I got those from that exact sight. Maybe they mean empty as in no juice in the carto. But mine definitely came with foam in them. Maybe they weren't supposed to. I don't know.

I am not positive who else sells the kits with the larger batteries. This is were I got my unit. It is the Tornado (same thing as eGo, just different name). They sell the kits with the 650mah batteries. With these and a regular 510 atomizer which it comes with, I was getting almost 2 days before recharging. They sell the larger batteries 1000mah for $25 a piece. The higher the mah, the longer a battery will work before recharging. 1000mah is huge. I don't have one, so I don't know how long it lasts, but I have found the 2 650mah batteries that came with the unit to be more than sufficient. Me personally, I would not purchase from over seas. Shipping could be much higher, and then it has to pass customs. Thats too much crap for me. I much prefer to purchase my vaping wares from the States. Happy vaping. By the way, look at my banner. Here are some of the regular blank 510 mega cartos. Basically both would work on a Tornado/eGo. However, on just a regualr 510 unit, I am pretty sure the regular 510 cartos would would work but not the eGo ones because of how they connect to the unit. I have had the mega cartos for my Tornado (eGo). They did hold a lot of juice. I really liked them. They had that foam type filler instead of what you get in regular cartos. I liked that. However I really don't use them anymore. I am someone who needs a huge throat hit to be satisfied, and vaping with regular cartos or attys just wasn't cutting it after awhile. I then moved onto LR attys and fell in love. I don't know if they make LR cartos. I would probably check them out for myself if they were available. I got my mega cartos here. So this one is for DIY Flavorshacks Fried Spiced Apple 30mg nic. This flavor was a customer creation that they allowed Dawn to sell on her site. This stuff is terrific. This juicedtaste amazingly like the name implies. I use to work in a bakery like 14 years ago. We used to make apple turnovers there. One day, I did some experimenting and made a apple cinnamon turnover and then I deep fried it in the donut fryer. The boss liked it so much he started to make it a regular item in the morning for breakfast. This juice reminds me of that experiment. Nice apple cinnamon flavor. The flavor is very forward. This is not a weak tasting juice. This thing is full flavored for sure. I still don't know how they got that hint of fried flavor into this juice, but it is awesome! Another thing this reminds me of is a fried apple empanada I used to get at the fair. This juice is bringing back a lot of memories.

I will be mixing like mad this weekend. I have 1 more exam tomorrow in Human Relations and then I am done for just about a month until the fall semester starts. I have to keep my fingers crossed that I make it into the program I am going for. There will be 60 or so people applying and they may take 20. I have been working my butt off so I think my chances are good. I didn't do horrible in high school (about a 3.5 GPA) but if I had dedicated myself 17 years ago like I have been now, I could have gotten into a good school and perhaps had a scholarship right off the bat. Better late than never though.

Today was like Christmas. I went to school this morning and took a couple of exams, then came home and went to lunch with my wife. We got home and it was 1:00p. The mailman is usually here around then. I walked down the driveway and inside of my mailbox was 3 small priority shipping boxes! Yeah!!! One of the boxes is from Electronicstix.com I got me a 5 pack of their new LR cartomizers to try out. I also got my first wide mouth driptip. I have 4 of the Nhaler twisted drip tips, but I am loving this wide mouth. Another box contained my Joker variable voltage e cig along with the voltage reader. I am very excited about this bad boy. I will be doing a review later. Last but not least, was a package with a bunch of different Lorann and Flavourart flavorings as well as a bottle of a different kind of VG to use. This did not come from a store. This came from the very generous forum member Kitsune! Out of nowhere she asked me if I would be interested in trying some different stuff. Today marks one month cigarette free for me! According to my banner, I have avoided nearly 400 analogs! That is amazing. I have tried quitting so many times and nothing ever worked....until now. I am so glad that one day while surfing the net, I ran into Vapor Talk. I have met so many helpful and knowledgable people here. You have all played a part in my mission to quit smoking. My wife and daughter are so happy that daddy may have extended his life by quitting. I used to feel so guilty when smoking. I knew it wasn't good for me. I knew it was shortening my life. I have only had 1 carto go bad on me out of the 11 or so I have used, and that was my fault. I didn't fill in enough and tried using it on my 6v Silver Bullet and it died in 5 seconds. I just got in a 5 pack of LR cartomizer today. I am going to give them a shot tonight. I will be using the drip tip with it though.

Usually the highest I have seen a supplier sell is 36mg. When you see higher than that e. 60, 80, 100, that is for a bottle of nicotine. People buy this and then add pg or vg and flavoring to it to make it the mg they want. I use 30mg, it works for me. Any higher would be crazy.

I am glad you like your eGo. They are awesome. When I was using mine with a mega atty and cartridge, I was getting just about 2 days out of it. I mostly use LR attys on it now and I get a day out of it. I am not a constant vaper. I use it when I get a hankerin for a smoke and mostly at night when I have a beer or two watching the game or what not. Happy vaping!

Welcome to the forum! Looks like Chris pretty much nailed all of your questions. Keep in mind the battery differences between the Joye 510 and the eGo. I was regcharging my 510 4 or 5 times a day. My eGo will last me a day or 2 depending on use and if I am using a LR atty. Happy vaping!

As others have said, I think an eGo with cartomizers would be your best option for your parents. The battery life will keep them going and filling cartos is pretty easy and will allow them to vape for long periods of time. Hope it all works out.

The 2 I know for sure are the Buzz at Notcigs.com and the Joker at Vaprlife.com I just got my Joker in the mail today, but haven't been able to try it yet. I am excited!

I agree with the two knowledgable posters before me. I also started with the 510. I ended up charging batteries about 4 or 5 times a day. That was a pain in the butt, especially if you are out somewhere where charging batteries is not an option. 1 week later I bought my Tornado (same thing as eGo just different name) and I haven't looked back. It is just heads and tails above the regular 510 unit.
