That's a great Idea! I am such a geek. When my company gave me my car I got a couple of cellphone mounts for it and direct wired them to the car's power (through fused adapters) I then added a small USB hub under the dash. It uses a 2 amp power supply so it isn't too powerful, but it is better than nothing!

Ash, I was a 1.5 - 3 packs a day depending on stress. I have had to quit all of my database duties because it is too much of a trigger. I have overcome most of the day to day ones. I am still trying to figure out how to keep a proper level of nicotine in my system. It is fun and I am really enjoying it. I also feel much better! Good luck! and keep up the good work!

Here is my backups. Well to be honest it is most of what I own. I leave on Tuesday morning on the road and don't get back until Friday around noon. I can't chance not having what I need. I use a V2 starter kit box I got a couple years ago to hold everything. I also have a small power strip I keep in my suit case that has 5 USB ports. 2 built in and adapters. I have to carry 2 phones and a tablet so it takes a lot to keep me charged.

I also love the MVP. It seems to last pretty long and has been a good home for my Nautilus. I use it when I am driving. When I am in the office (or need something for my pocket)i use a itaste VV with an Aspire BDC on top. I do keep a spinner and some iClear 16s in the car, just in case.

I don't want to violate any site policies, but I sell them for a living. I really can not sell them to the general public, because the company I work for only sells very large quantity, industrial o-rings. I will be happy to answer any questions that I can. As far as the small pretty colored ones, I am no help. All of ours are ugly black, brown, white, and red-ish brown. I do have all the size charts, so if you have any questions just ask.

I do have a good DVOM. I also have taken an 510/Ego adapter and soldered leads onto it that plug into my DVOM. I do think I would like to buy a dedicated one though. That is my problem. I want everything...now...lol. Of course as a tinkerer, I have most of what I need. Torches, miniature tools, all kinds of electronics, craft supplies, and on and on. This is a big problem with an addict.... I no longer do drugs, but I get addicted to everything else I do... except saving money...lol Thanks for your concern. I agree Safety First!

Too true. I am really wanting to get a RDA bad. I have always had a problem with going a little overboard!

The clones I have been looking at are Infinite. I have read many reviews and it seems to be as close to the "real thing" as you can get. I really want to pull the trigger. The only thing holding me back is the need to buy kanthal, silica, an RDA and on and on...lol
-
I am really leaning toward the 4nine. I just don't know about the clones. I really don't have the money for the tarsius ones I see, they are pushing $180. The clones are under $50. I have never bought a genuine or clone so I really don't know what the quality difference is. This one really catches my eye because it is very minimalist and looks virtually seamless. It is also tiny, which is great. It is also very simple. Any opinions?

I am going on 2 full days that mine hasn't leaked. I am really liking it again. The only things I did is disassemble and clean well. I then reassembled the tank. First I wet a qtip with a little juice and wiped the top of the glass tank (very small amount, using for lubricant) Next I did the same thing with the oring on the new atomizer/coil and screw it firmly into the base. I then filled it and lubricated the silicone on the base, closed the air hole, and assembled. Be careful when putting it together because lubricating the silicone in the top/bottom makes it much easier to over-tighten and possibly crack. I have also raised my wattage on the MPV to 8.5 watts. I am running a 1.9ohm coil so it is around 4 volts. I also read on another board that if it is constantly flooding to vape through the largest air hole at high power for a few draws to change pressure in the tank. I really don't want to try this because I don't want a mouth full of liquid. I have not done this very long. So take my advice with a grain of salt. It is working for me and our problem sounds similar.

It's funny. When I asked this question I couldn't find any I like...now I have a list. I really like the Magneto. I also like the copper mods, especially the single mode ones. I like the look of the seamless tube. I guess there is no reason to be too picky. I know myself very well, this will be the first of at least a few.

I am looking for my first mechanical mod. It isn't going to be my daily vape. I just want it to build some coils and use an RDA here at home and hotels (home away from home) I am kinda strange, everything I see is too flashy. I want something simple, black or stainless. I don't need engraving, anodization or texture. I don't have a problem with the ones I see, they just don't fit my extremely boring personality...lol I am also looking for inexpensive. Not cheap, I just don't have too much to spend due to all of the other supplies I am wanting to buy. Any suggestions?

Thanks! It has been tough, but not as tough as I thought. My last analog was at 10:30 Tuesday (6/17/14) night. If i could keep my equipment working. Everything tank I have like - Nautilus, Aspire BDC, and Kanger Protank 3 mini - are prone to flooding and I have to stop fix them mutiple times a day. I must be vaping wrong....lol But despite the little problems, I am loving it!

I don't want to give the wrong impression. My local store has quite a few knowledgeable men and women at it. I asked the guy that helped me last week about his opinion of non-rebuild drip atomizers like the HH357 and he was up front and said "I don't have a clue, but I will get you a guy who does" I have so much respect for this. I am a salesman. I sell sealing components for the oil/gas/electrical industry. When people ask me what the best gasket/seal for their solution I will give them a set of ANSI charts and the phone number to an engineer that specializes in that. If I made my best "guess" and it was wrong...at best downtime for the company, at worst loss of life and environmental impact. I know using a personal atomizer is not nearly as big of a deal, but the possible injury, or even financial loss from toasting a battery would really make for a bad day!

What are you GASing for?
jasonculp replied to The Vaping Viking's topic in General Vaping Discussion
I am really wanting a simple mechanical mod, batteries, charger, kanthal, wick, OHM Meter(designed for atomizers), other coil building supplies, and an IGO-W or some other RDA. I am really happy with what I do, but I am dieing to build coils. I really don't care about big clouds, it just looks fun to build. -
I have not got into sub ohm yet. I will one day funds permitting. I have the knowledge due to many years of hobby electronics and my occasional side electrical work. Been doing Ohm's Law and rechargeable batteries for years, but I am currently using the itaste VV, MPV, and spinners for vapeing. This subject really hit me hard today. I went to buy some juice at one of my local B & M. They carry mechanical mods and the large electronic controlled batteries. I was inquiring about going from a 60/40 blend to a 50/50 because of flooding on my Nautilus. She said no, all you need to do is crank up your wattage and voltage up. I told her I usually set my wattage around 6.5/7 watts. She then asked where are your volts set at. I said I really don't know off the top of my head and I don't have a calculator. She looked at me like I was totally stupid. She then said I should be running my tank at 11 watts and 5 volts. I just smiled and said ok. I don't expect everyone to know everything, but at least a basic understanding of how ohms law works, especially if your giving advice on settings and sell mechanical mods. Sorry for the rant.

I am definately an over washer! It has worked flawlessly today so far. I have had vapor tounge all day so I can't taste it anyway. I was hoping to make this my daily driving tank (im a salesman and drive 1400 - 1700 miles a week) and eventually get an RDA to use in hotels and at home in the evening. I just have not pulled the trigger on a mod and coil building supplies. I pulled the pin last night and it was a little gunked up but not bad. Thanks for all of your help!
-
Well it is working ok today so far. I've been switching between both coils I have all week. When it floods (completely) I clean the coil in vodka and let it dry over night and use the other coil. I will pick up a 5 pack Friday and see how it goes.
-
Yes. I pulled it apart in the hotel tonight and the coil was completely full of liquid and dripping through the hole in the center pin. I am using a 60PG/40VG. Could it be too thin? I was going to order a new SS tank and a box of coils next week, but I'm scared to invest more in it.
-
I've been running this tank for a for about a week. I really love the draw and the vapor production. I keep getting a slight gurgling and quite a bit of liquid in my draws. I have disassembled it mutiple times, cleaned, replaced the atomizer/coil. It works great for a about an hour, but it doesn't last. I am running it on the largest airflow opening. I have checked all the orings and they seem fine. The only place I can see where one might be missing is possibly above the atomizer. In the tube coming down from the drip tip. Is there supposed to be one there? I also take very long draws. My MVP flashes and quits on each one. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I guess I am a little weird. I keep an iclear16 filled with each of my favorite flavors and use my innokin VV. The flavors are Drunk Mama, Hawaiian Energy, Sweet Harmony, Erica's Honey, and Frozen Fruit. I don't know if these are common flavors, I get them at the local B&M. I load my Nautilus on my MPV up with a mL of each! The fruity, sweet flavors has been working best to keep me from smoking. I hope when my taste comes back I can get into new flavor profiles.
-
Thanks for the welcome! I plan on being free of the analogs in the next few days. The hardest ones to stop is the first one of the day and the last. I have to stay on the edge of nicotine buzz to keep from smoking. I hope that subsides soon!

Hello all! I have been lurking around for a few weeks and this is a really great forum. I have really learned a lot. I am still an analog smoker but I have gone from 2 - 2+ packs a day to 2 - 3 a day in 3+ weeks. I have learned so much reading everything I can find on here and other places. One of the main things is that this is going to turn into a great hobby. I tend to go overboard. I already have 3 variable voltage batteries, 4 different glass tanks, a bunch of iclear16's, and many empty 5ml bottles of juice. So many choices in both equipment and flavors! Keep up all of the good work!
