I will try that. I have many weird vape habits. I caught myself taking multiple short, hard drags today for some reason. I took very long easy drags on analogs. People used to make fun of me they said I could smoke a short one in two drags!

Now that you mention it. I switched to a shorter than stock drip tip. It is only a 1/4" shorter. I will go back to stock until I can get a longer one. That might help! Thanks I wish i had a more powerful battery. When I had this trouble with the original dual coil, I went up a few watts and the problem went away. I am setting on a max of 11 watts and can't go any higher.

Oops, sorry I am not a chain vapor. I do take 2 - 3 long drags, then put it down for 20 - 30 minutes and do it again. It has about 5 ml run through it.

Actually it is a mini coil in my full sized Nautilus. Coil only has about 2 days on it. I have been through quite a few of these coils. They don't burn out or get to tasting muted. I just change them because they keep letting juice up the tube. The flavor is great, it is just unburnt juice on my tongue that is driving me nuts. This thing puts out the vapor, I just think I need to change the way I draw on it. It isn't flooding like the dual coils where it gurgles and leaks through the bottom. All of the new coils have gurgled a bit, but never leaked. I have tried it in both the full sized and mini and get the same result.

I am having a bit of trouble with my BVC coils flooding. It seems to me my style of vaping floods everything! Here at the house, It is no big deal. When I am on the road it seems much worse. I don't think that I can really call it flooding, because it doesn't leak. It seems to be such a rich vape I am getting partially unvaporized liquid in my mouth. It isn't enough that it tastes terrible, but I feel it in my throat and it gives me terrible heartburn. I also see it on the bottom of my drip tip. I was vaping on my MPV at 11 watts. I tried going lower and it seems to make it worse. I can't go any higher with any of my APVs. I tried blocking 3 of the 4 wicking holes on the coil and it didn't seem to make a difference. It was 100 degrees today so my juice was a little thin. Any ideas? MPV 2.0 @ 11 watts Nautilus (full size) ; 1.8ohm coil ; largest air hole 60PG/40VG 24mg liquid

It does take a few tools, but nothing major. Of course an ohm meter is the first thing you must have. I really have not got into coil making. I made a few, but I don't have a mechanical mod. I was just going to wait until I got one to start buying supplies. As for the math. It is easy, I cheat. I use http://www.steam-engine.org/ohm.asp and http://www.ohmslawcalculator.com/...php They do the math for me.

With a variable voltage device you increase the voltage and it in turn provides more watts to your coil. For example: 4.7 Volts with a 1.8 ohm coil will be putting out approximately 12.3 watts (if your VV is not regulated at 11 like mine) on you mechanical: 3.7 Volts with a 1.8 ohm coil will be putting out approximately 7.6 watts This is why people use a rebuildable atomizers on their mechanical mods. It allows them to build a lower resistance coil like this: 3.7 Volts with a .8 ohm coil will give you approximately 17 watts As you increase your watts the amount of vapor produced usually goes up. (There are many other factors such as type of juice, coil design, airflow, etc that can affect vapor production too)

In my search for my first mechanical mod I have come across a few authentic mods that look interesting, and reasonably priced. The one I am most interested in is the Nanos by MMVapors. I have read it has one of the best switches on the market. To be honest. I use one of my old cell phone chargers and cables it is has a standard USB plug and the cable and the micro?? on the other end like goes into my cell phone to charge my MVP and VV. They both come with the proper cable. You just need the thing to plugs into wall that has the standard USB. Your cable that you have will charge the eGo style.

Well, I guess in my defense. I was sitting in my recliner, in front of the television. I should have been back at my desk/workbench. I am looking into some sort of magnifying apparatus and more light. I think I wanted to try it so bad that I just plugged the numbers into vapers toolbox and went at it. I was kinda like a kid at Christmas. I had just got a coil jig, my new Nautilus mini, my new vertical coils for the Nautiluses and the TOBH in the mail. I wanted to play with all of my new toys at once!

VapeHappy- I can't wait to try it! My Mini Pro Tanks are all sitting idle. I just have not bit the bullet and bought any rebuilding supplies. I do have an ohm meter, and the hand tools, but no supplies yet. I got a TOBH clone the other day and tried to build some coils with the supplied wire. I was not successful. I am only 44 and still have pretty good vision, but that wire is so dang tiny. I may have to get a few hundred feet of different gauges just to practice! Keep up the good work!

So far this is my pocket setup. I really like it. I am running 11 watts. With a shorter drip tip.

I have had about the same sweet spot as y'all I run my MVP and VV on about 8.5 watts. Since I have got my new Nautilus Mini and the BVC coils, I have really enjoyed running it up to 11 watts on both the Mini and Standard tanks. I have not done the math or even checked the ohms of the coils, to see what it is really doing, but it has been a super vape.

I am thinking about DIY Liquids. I am very partial to the flavors from my local shop 180vape in Lubbock TX. I don't really want to cut them out of any business. I plan on supporting them as much as possible, but i would like to save a little money. I am also scared of future regulation or taxation. I don't have any single flavors, they are all weird named, hard to describe flavors. I also have only been smoke free for a little over a month, so I have not totally regained my taste. How would I go about figuring out a similar recipe without spending an arm and leg on trials? Or is this the only way? My favorite flavor is Hawaiian Energy. I can't really describe it, but I am told it smells like cherry (Hawaiian Punch). Possibly with Red Bull? I also like Drunk Mama. Which I assume is a variation on the Bahama Mama. Frozen Fruit is the other. I just seems like multiple fruit flavors with menthol. I usually mix 1ml Frozen Fruit to 2ml each of the other 2 in my Nautilus. I'm not too exact. I can't put much menthol, it gives me terrible headaches (even in analogs). I am not looking to reverse engineer this exactly, just something tropical, fruity, and cool. I also have no plans to make any for others. (I have had many hobbies that turned into work after I started doing it for others, such as leather tooling, reloading, computer repair, and electronics.) All flavors are 60PG/40VG 2.4% Nicotine. I am currently paying $16.50 for 30ml. I have downloaded a calculator, and bookmarked a few online ones. I have read quite a bit about safety, and have most of the needed safety equipment. I just don't know anything about the flavor combinations and the most cost effective way to go about it. I've been trying to come up with a good description of the difference in a Variable Voltage and Variable Wattage for my friends. It isn't easy to explain. With either one you can change the amount of power to the coil. If you use the volt setting, and you use a higher resistance coil (ohms), it will make a cooler vape, and use less power (watts) If you want to maintain the heat you had with the lower resistance coil, you will have to turn the volts up on the higher resistance coil. With the watts setting. I set mine for example on 8.5 watts. The device will adjust the voltage as necessary to match the amount of resistance of the coil to maintain the 8.5 watts. This keeps my heat level fairly even no matter what tank (or resistance) I am running on the battery. Of course there are many other variables that are involved such as top/bottom coil, type of liquid, dual/single coil, battery limitations, etc that can change your vape. I like to think of it like a cruise control. I set the watts and forget it and let the chip in the MPV make all of the adjustments for me. Of course I run tanks that are very similar and work well at that setting. I hope I have not confused you, and have all of my facts correct.

Glad to hear it is working! I always get a little nervous when I hear of an MVP giving trouble, since this is my daily use battery. I should save up and buy a backup, but I have to save $200 more from not smoking before I pull the trigger. That is one thing I love/hate about this hobby. So many neat shiny things, so little money!

Wow! I want one bad now. I was just excited because it was smaller and would be easier to carry. Now I can't believe I have to wait a month for one of these!

Well if anyone can make it leak it would be me. My KPT mini 2 is identical to my buddy's at work. We bought them at the same place near the same time. He has had no problem with his. I haven't either until last week. It dumped half a tank through the coil. I have not tried it since, but have not needed it. I really like it, I will put another coil in it and try again later. In the mean time, I think it is time to get the mini aerotank... Like I really needed an excuse to buy something!

Thanks! I have been waiting on the mini version of the Nautilus, but I really like the standard ss tank and the fact I can order it today. I spend most of the time in my car, so the MPV and nautilus works great, but when I'm in the office/shop it is just too big.
