I agree. Fluke builds a good meter. (Probably the best) I donated my last good one to a previous job (I left pissed off and all of my tools went missing). I still have an old autorange at work that I got in college but it is terrible. The one I use now is an Extech It cost much more than my last Fluke, but I won it in a contest. At my previous job we were distributors for Extech instruments. It has great accuracy ratings, it just doesn't have a proper range to measure less than 1 ohm. The 200 ohm range is good, it just isn't as accurate as it should be that low and the display only allows for a 000.0 reading. I guess I am just being too picky.

I'm using VTC4 Sonys. I guess I am just too much of a nerd. I just read a good article of why my DVOM is not accurate at that range. I wish I would have bookmarked it. I had a few resistors laying around and checked them and the DVOM is pretty close. Apparently it is harder than you would expect to measure ohms that low. I may buy another 510 style. I have had my eye on the metal ones with the rechargeable batteries. I may build one based on the plans from here: http://electronics-diy.com/electronic_schematic.php?id=951 I just don't have the time. But to be honest. I was just trying out my first dual, parallel, 28gauge, vertical build. I am terrible at the parallel builds. I think it was a too hot anyway. It just really concerned me that it was so much hotter than the dual, 26gauge, vertical builds I have been doing. It just doesn't seem like it would make that much difference.

Is there a more accurate ohm meter available to us? My ELeaf ohm meter is not seeming to be accurate. The build that I just did shows .2ohms on Steam Engine. I wrapped one coil, mounted it in the atty and it showed .76 so I built another one just like it. I put it on the meter and it shows .38. I generally shoot for .5 but this was close enough. I wicked it up and adjusted my mod wet it and went to town. It is generating a lot of heat. Even the button is getting warm. It is kind of a crappy mod and the button has to be adjusted just right. I then pulled it off and grabbed the DVOM out of the drawer. It shows .8. I know this is wrong! My meter is not cheap, but it does not have a range for this low of ohms. I grabbed an old analog that I have out in my shed, and it barely moves the needle. All else has failed to give me any results so I put it on my MPV. It shows 0.0. My other build shows .43 on my ELeaf, 1.2 on my DVOM and .4 on my MPV. I vape this all evening and it seems to work fine. It does get a little warm if I chain vape it. I realize that .43 is 32 watts at 3.7v and .38 is 36 watts at 3.7v But does it make that much difference?

Yes. It is all the same. The only things I find a little different is the things are not as linear. The electrical laws don't ever change, but more watts doesn't mean better necessarily. There is so many other variables that you can't plug into calculators, such as, atomizer type, airflow, wicking material, coil size and placement, juice PG/VG/Nicotine ratios and your individual taste! I'm not done either. I guess I am just content. I leave on the road in the morning. I have not found a toolbox that I am satisfied with to bring my coil wrapping tools and chargers. I am not even sure I will take a mechanical with me. I may coil up a 1+ ohm build on my other tobh and run it on the MPV. It could be a long week!

I would have very mixxed emotions with you. I think I would love the convenience, but hate how much money I spent! Like Earthling789 said, permits and such could be a nightmare! I live in the Texas panhandle (Lubbock area). There is a huge problem going on there right now with Food Trucks. It has something to do with not being able to sell food unless it is on private property. You can't vend right on the street. It is causing a big problem and city government has been dragging it's feet. I don't understand how an Ice Cream truck can do it but I Food Truck can't. I really have not looked into it too much. Lubbock is generally pretty laid back when it comes to most laws, but extremely uptight on others. There has been a huge synthetic pot ban, and a big deal with Uber insurance regulations not allowing them to operate in the last few months.

Well it seems to be that way for me. I am not sure why. I have very limited experience, so it could just be that this build is just better than the horizontal's that I built earlier. Who knows? I am having to do a lot of after hours data entry work for my job, so it could just be that I am too preoccupied (lazy) to try others. I am wanting to do a dual parallel vertical with 28 gauge, I just have not done it yet! I ran out of talent really quick when I tried my first dual parallel!

mkauthen - Welcome to Vapor Talk! These guys here won't steer you wrong! I have not been doing this long and know way more than most of the people in the local vape shops! I learned most of it here! I totally understand on the bad cigarette taste! The last one I smoked was late one night on my wife's birthday. I was in a motel and went out to the car due to the fire alarms going off (false alarm) I really didn't want it, but it was the last one I had. It tasted awful, nearly sickening! I wrote the date/time on the pack and wrapped it up and gave it to my wife for her birthday. It has been a strong motivator! Good Luck!

I hate to say I have been a little lazy. I am still running the dual vertical on my TOBH I put the coil closer to the negative post which puts the coil right above the 3 air holes (on each side). I am running .4(something) ohms. I am using 5 wraps of 26 gauge around a 3.4mm pin. It has been great! I have not had much reason to experiment. I am sure I will when time allows. I really like the vertical arrangement. It seems to be a better vape than the horizontal coils of the same size/wrap. I really don't know why that is. Is it airflow? I have 2 of these atty's so I can experiment, I just am enjoying it so much, I may get some 0 nicotine, so I can vape it more. I may have to start buying this juice by the gallon!

I bought mine on 6/09/14 from a vendor on NewEgg. It has the recessed button. It is a version 2.0 according to the case it came in. It does sit flat with no wobble.

I do enjoy mine. It has been a blast. I still treat mine like a cigar, and drink at the end of the day. I can't give up the tanks though. It is just too easy to do all day! I might look into an RTA one of these days.

That's cool! I guess I need to clarify. I am in my car 80 percent of the day at least. So the AC is going. When I get hung up in a customer's for a long while it can be hot. When I am at the house or office, I bring it in with me. What amazes me is how little heat it takes to discolor it. I also noticed that as my juice ages it turns darker, but also seems to taste better. My all day vape I buy 3 flavors 30ml each then mix them into a 120 ml container. I then put about 15 or so in a small bottle to carry. This only lasts for about 2 weeks.

I have already rewicked it. I didn't take a picture. It was similar to the way that Rip Trippers did it in the video above. I just pushed the rayon through the coil until it touched the bottom below the coil, then looped it over the screw on top and into the other coil. It really didn't work as good as I have it now which is about a 16th of an inch sticking up through the coil and the tail in the drip well. I think the airflow is better with the vertical coil. I was going to try to do the quad coil, but I don't have the time tonight. The pictures are deceptive. The front of the coil looks pretty good. There are gaps in the back. I can't get my larger tweezers in to compress them. The coil away from the camera doesn't look quite as good. I tend to run out of patience and want to try it.

Yes, but I think I am not patient, or steady enough. It has also turned out to be a kinda cheap camera. I loaned my good one to my daughter for their family vacation last year, and never got it back. I have learned with the kids, if they have something of yours over 24 hours, it is now theirs!

I also carry mine in the car. It has been near 100 degrees outside. I only carry a small backup bottle plus what is in my tank. I don't know what is going on chemically, but when I get home the juice is a little darker in color than the bottle I originally poured it out of. I have started using an insulated pouch from my wife's Humera it seems to help shield some of the heat.

I like it so far. I wicked it over the top of the screws and left tails in the drip wells. I think it cut my airflow. I do like that i don't get any splatter off of it and it is not an extremely hot vape. I can't find my narrow tweezers so I can't get the coils as pretty as I would like. I am also going to rewick and run it just in the drip wells and see how it works. I don't know why I can't seem to take a good picture either! I have tried my iphone4 and my bigger digital. Neither is doing a good job!

I just built a dual/parallel, vertical, 26ga, 6 wrap, .45ohm. It is ok. It is fun to just play.

@christov11 - I agree. So far it seems like no matter how many posts I read or videos I watch the only way I learn is to screw them up and try again! I have used quite a bit of Kanthal! I will try again this evening after work. It seems like the TOBH has a unique set of challenges, but I guess they all do! @Compenstine - Thanks! I noticed that gap in the pictures. It was more visible in the pictures than in real life. I dry burned it after i took the picture and it tightened up a bit. I may recoil tonight and try to get it a little more uniform. When I rewicked I did use a tad less and it seemed to work good. PS - I can't wait until the new flavor is ready (the one from the renaming contest) I have been drooling from the description! @Raptor Vaper - That explains a lot! I think I was getting quite a bit on my coils and getting hot juice in my mouth. The newest juice does not taste as bad as my normal juice when it gets in your mouth, but it is still not good. Thanks for all of the help. I am sure I will have new questions tonight!
