  1. Well I am thinking about getting the box mod in a few weeks. I just ordered an iStick. I am currently dripping a 454 (clone) on a 4nine (clone). It isn't anything fancy, .4ohm dual coil 26ga. I am really enjoying the setup, I just really want the regulated and dual battery option. I use tanks all day, and drip in the evening. It is my relaxation.
  2. I am very interested in the iStick. I just have not pulled the trigger on it. I have been running the MVP with the full size Nautilus and a BVC. I was thinking that the iStick and my Nautilus Mini would make a good ADV. I am also trying to make my mind up between a Sigelei 100 watt, IPV3, and Cloupor T6. I am currently leaning toward the Sigelei, but not sure. I am wanting a regulated mod to drip on. I really don't need that much power, but I sure like the options...
  3. Great pics! Keep 'em coming! Welcome to Vapor Talk!
  4. I didn't think to mention the tank level. This is so true! I wish my MPV would go over 12 watts. This makes a big difference with my BVC coils. I can only go to 11 watts. I am currently looking for a good cheap box mod. I just can't make my mind up, and I really don't have the extra money to spend on it now.
  5. We are very similar. We build different components for oilfield, power plants, and municipalities. We also import a lot of small pieces from your area of the world.
  6. I struggle with this! I run into this all the time in my business and personal life. I am such a strong believer in keeping everything in the US. I have been in a few business dealings that have really blurred the lines for me and it has been very upsetting. The first time was a very large auto manufacturer that had a bearing that they needed. We sourced the specifications to all the American bearing company's after all the samples were recieved none of the bearings could pass the quality and specifications that were required. We ended up making them with American steel in a Japanese plant in a joint effort. What had happened is the American tooling was out-dated and the Japanese/Chinese were not. I know this situation has got better in the past few years. Many new plants have been built and tooling updated in the US. This is so hard for American companies to make major changes while competing in a global market. In my new job we do much more manufacturing. We are running into many quality issues from our normal US suppliers trying to cut corners to compete with the foreign ones. We are getting castings from European companies that are less expensive and higher quality than what we can get in the US. On this project we are having to import 50% of raw parts. We do the final machining, and assembly here in Texas, and then export the finished products. It is a crazy world. In the gasket end of our business one example our supplier takes American raw materials and ships it to a Canadian company to make the finished product that we sell, and make more products out of. I really don't know where to go from here. The owner of the company set out with a goal to run a "Christian Based" 100% American produced company. It has been nearly impossible. I wish it wasn't this way. We are a small company, less than 20 million/year and employ around 100 people. We have to build/test our products to near nuclear specifications. It really sucks when the foundry that is 30 miles away can't produce what we need for these projects (at any cost). I wish I knew where we go from here. I wish I knew where the problem is. I know regulation has a lot to do with it, but we need regulations. I know lawsuits have a lot to do with the problem, but they are a necessary evil also. The labor is very high, but it is only a small part of it. PS - I designed (I'm not an engineer) a mechanical mod that I thought would be simple and cheap. It basically was a 4nine style switch but with a lock and an adjustable top cap with a single tube. It was to be made from all US 316 stainless and C464/Naval Brass. Our CNC shop came up with a cost of $300/unit if we made 1000 units. Of course we can never produce it because our machines are too large to handle the small pieces in a mechanical mod. PSS - I agree I would not care to deal direct with China. You have very little to no recourse if products do not work.
  7. I am with you on this one. I wore braces from 5th grade to Senior year. I made them take them off. Through years of on and off drug use (in my youth) My teeth deteriorated. When I got clean, I had my teeth fixed. I spent 10's of thousands getting them fixed. I had 6 root canals on top and 2 on bottom. Jump ahead to my late 30's. The damage was so bad that they decided to pull my top teeth, and give me dentures. I am one of the lucky ones, no one knows if I don't tell them. I had all of the bottom ones fixed at that time. 6 more root canals, and 2 caps. To make things worse they tell me my bottom teeth will probably not make it into my 50's. I have been hoping that by the time I get there, I can afford implants, or locked in dentures. The top ones have been a life saver, I can eat without pain and they don't have gaps. From what I hear bottom dentures are not enjoyable. I am sorry for the long drawn out explanation. I just want you to know "I feel your pain". There is no pain like tooth pain!
  8. Sorry Bebop! There is nothing worse than Novocain mouth, except for the pain after it wears off! I hope you get better soon.
  9. I am going to have to try this! I vape 24 all day, but I step down to 9 at night, in my dripper. I am guessing from the way it makes me feel even at 9mg I am getting as much nicotine as the 24 in my Nautilus!
  10. I really can't add anything to what everyone has already said! It sounds like you have a great setup. I too have to stress the backups, and backups for backups. Welcome to Vapor Talk!
  11. I really have not been using mods very long. I don't have much experience with any mods except the 2 that I own. First I guess I should make sure you are using an ohm meter and have studied up on ohms law. The Tobh is a good RDA to start with. I have 2 and I really like them. As for the mod, I would really look around for something that gets good ratings. I really like the magnetic buttons myself. The 1:1 Nemesis seems to be a very popular choice. I really like my 4nine, but it is a little scarey with it's hybrid top. The positive pin of the atty must extend to make contact with the battery. If the center part does not extend enough it will cause a direct short. It is also picky about battery length, there is no adjustment except for using the center pin of the atty and/or small magnet spacers. My other mod is a GP Paps clone. It is fair, but it took a lot of filing, fitting, and adjusting to make it work at all. I got both of these for under $20. I also have not had good luck running tanks on them. I like a little more power. With a 1.8 ohm atty it will only be 9.8 watts in the beginning, and will slowly go down from there. I like the consistent power of an electronic box. I am sorry I am not more help!
  12. That being said, the anti-depressants/anti-anxiety/anti-psychotics saved my life, but once I was over the problems, they caused more issues than they solved.
  13. I spent years looking for the perfect combination of prescription drugs to make me feel good. It took a while to figure out that the drugs were causing many of my problems. Exersize does do amazing things. I just will not make time for it. Since I have not been smoking I am feeling like I need to make more time for it. I am not overweight, but I am so out of shape. I blamed most of it on the cigarettes, but it wasn't the entire problem. Driving all the time and sitting behind a computer when I am not driving has taken it's toll over the last 10 years.
  14. What are you planning on running on it? Are you planning on getting into dripping?
  15. Great advice! It never ceases to amaze me how many things, other than vaping, I learn on here. Thank you.
  16. I think it is just eye fatigue. I've been in the office for 2 days building databases...one more to go this week.
  17. I really didn't think that it would work as good as it has. I tried all of the quitting methods, and this one has been the best!
  18. Well, I guess i am going to finally break down and get bifocals... My apologies. I think my remedial reading class starts in the morning....lol
  19. My wellbutrin story: My past consisted of Drug/Alcohol abuse until 25. I quit, panic/anxiety/depression took over. I went years on prescription drug cocktails. Quite a few years back ended up on wellbutrin and zyprexa. It worked great but, I decided to quit because of my side effects. I went to the dr and got the usual, I can't believe you have taken wellbutrin for this long and still smoke...I guess I was immune. I only drink beer on occasion, so that leaves caffine and vaping as my only vices.
  20. I don't know for a fact, but warning points sounds like a bad thing to me...lol. I like my zero score! My wife gave me about 20 warning points today, and we only spent about 10 minutes together....
  21. The longer I vape, the more I find this true. My boss had to run an errand in my car today and caught me in the parking lot. He left for a couple of hours in it, and I didn't freak out. If it had been my cigarettes, I would have walked down the street and bought a pack within 15 minutes! It is strange how much more panicked I would get. It really makes me curious as to what is in the things that made it that bad. If it was just nicotine the result should be the same, but it isn't. I don't meant to sound like a conspiracy theorist....but.
  22. I just found on their site, they are located in Hawaii. I still do not know anything about them, except their location. http://www.eciggity.com/faq/
  23. I have been to this website. I browse it frequently. I have never bought anything from them. They do seem to have pretty good prices, but I have been reluctant to buy from them because I don't know anything about them. If you don't find what you need here at the Vapor Talk store, look at the lower portion of the forum and there are links to some supporting suppliers. I have not done much business with them, but they do seem to have pretty good prices. I have found that the local B&M's around me mark up around 45% to 80% over what I find on the web. It has been astounding. I am sure it takes a lot to run a storefront, but sometimes I just can't afford it. I have tried to support my local ones as much as possible, but poor service and bad attitude (not to mention price) has made it impossible.
