  1. Just hang on...there are plenty more where that one came from!
  2. That is what I thought. I think we are going to need to make me a sub-forum that is called "Stuff so stupid only Jason would ask."....lol
  3. I was noticing that I had some misspellings in one of my posts and went to edit it and I noticed that the link to edit it was gone. Does it disappear after time? or am I doing something wrong? I tried logging off and back on again and it didn't seem to help. Well, it is here on this post so I guess it must time out....
  4. I am sorry I am not familiar with the Kamry, so I don't have any real advice. Welcome to Vapor Talk!
  5. Welcome to Vapor Talk! I will second VapeMama. I just got my iStick today and love it!
  6. Welcome to Vapor Talk! I think you will enjoy it here! I just got an iStick yesturday and I love it! It is taking some getting used to. I also used the MVP full size Nautilus it has been my go to for months.
  7. I hope it helps someone! I can't attest to it's longevity. I am really liking it though.
  8. ELeaf iStick https://www.eleafus.com/battery/eleaf-istick.html I think it is too early for a full blown review, but would like to let you know my findings so far. (of course as long winded as I am this will be longer than most reviews) This little thing rocks! It is tiny, but fits the hand great with the curved side. The battery life seems to be good. I have been vaping all day and it shows a little over half of my battery left. I have been running it at 12.5 watts all day (4.9 volts/2.6 amps/1.9ohm). I used approximately 6ml of juice in my Nautilus Mini. It has a puff timer which I find useless, but interesting. On my MVP i would usually hit the 10 second limit, but, on this one (which I am running at a much higher wattage) I only vape around 4-6 seconds. It can be run in both variable voltage, or variable wattage. If you push the fire button 3 times quickly it switches modes. When you want to change the wattage/voltage you just push the appropriate button and it will move up or down by .1. It has a neat feature that when you hold the up/down button then press it again the voltage or wattage jump by .2. If you press it a third time they jump by .5. It will continue to move up or down until you press the opposite button. This makes it quick to change to a lower or higher wattage/voltage. (this would probably be easier to understand with a video) It also has the familiar 5 presses to on or off. The display is easy to read and show a battery charge level and atomizer ohms. The atomizer ohms are small, and on top below it will show you either the watts or volts. In larger numbers beside this shows either watts, or volts depending on the mode. If you are in wattage mode it shows the volts (calculated) in small numbers under the ohms, and watts in the large letters. If you are in voltage mode it shows the calculated watts in small numbers under ohms, and voltage in the larger. It is pretty cool that it shows the volts or watts based on the other number. I am currently running 12.5 watts and it shows the ohms at 1.9 and the volts at 4.8. If i run it to the max, it shows 15.9 watts which is 5.4 volts. It has a maximum of 5.5 volts so that is why it stops at 15.9 watts with my atomizer. To run it to the maximums I assume you would have to use a 1.5 ohm coil. For $32.94 this thing is a tiny beast. Pros: Small Light weight 510 connection (Mine came with a great adapter) High power Long life Low cost An abundance of accessories. They even have a flip adapter to allow you to fold the atty over with the push of a button. Cons: Small - my finger covers the air hole on the Short delay when you push the fire button to when it fires (just a split second, but noticeable) It is reported that it will not do very low voltage. I can't confirm this with the equipment I have. It looks funny with my Nautilus on it...it is too big. I like the Mini, but hate filling it all the time. I would fully recommend this device for beginners and experts alike. Here are the specifications: 2200mAh internal Li-Ion Battery Variable Wattage (VW) up to 20W and Variable Voltage (VV) from 3v – 5.5v Bright OLED display 510 threaded connection Power on/off: Press the button for five times to turn the iStick on and off. 10-sec Protection: Maximum of 10 seconds per drag. Atomizer Short-Circuit Protection: If atomizer short-circuits, the OLED screen show “Atomizer Short”. Low-Voltage Protection: Once the battery is below 3.3V the OLED screen will show “Lock”, which means its time to recharge. Unlock the Low-voltage Protection: The iStick begins working again once it reaches 3.65V. Low power Alert: If the battery’s power is lower than 10%, the power symbol on the screen will flash. Atomizers from 1ohm to 3ohm capable Pass-Thru vaping while charging
  9. That is mine too! I love reading the reviews. I need to have as many details as possible. The Vapor Talk store is better than many, but I would love to see more. I found a mod I really liked the other night (on a website I haven't done business with), but all of the pictures were taken so that you could not see the magnets on the switch and the insulator on the top cap. It was a good deal, but I am not going to pull the trigger on a product I can't see all the details of.
  10. I really don't have enough experience with it and I just have to trust my vendor. I have only used Kanthal A-1. They did offer other types of resistance wire but nothing too exotic. While reasearching what is what I ran into the middle of the G Plat thing. It was too wild when they figured out it was just 316-317L stainless welding wire. What made it even stranger is the alloy that makes up the GPlat is the same alloy I sell tons of (well pounds of) in gaskets they use in the petroleum/electrical generation/fertilizer industries.
  11. I just received a new tank for my Nautilus Mini and an Eleaf iStick. I really have not had much of a chance to play with the iStick yet, but so far I really like it! It is tiny! It really seems to run hotter than my MVP. 11 watts is hotter on the iStick. I have ran it up to 15 watts, but so far this is a little hot for my juice. I will post a new topic when I learn more about it, if anyone is interested.
  12. I did a lot of research on this during the big GPlat discovery. There are about as many different alloys of resistance wire as there is clones coming out of china.
  13. You know it has really amazed me how little it takes to cause resistance in these mechanical. The brass on my button and the piece that contacts the battery looked great the other day. I did notice a small ring developing on the battery, the brass plate and the magnets. I took a pencil eraser to it and got rid of them. It made a BIG difference. I was shocked! I couldn't even see the ring good unless I tilted it just right under the light.
  14. I am the same way with mine. I personally could care less about the clouds, but the vape is extremely satisfying. I took my mechanical/charger/RDA with me on this trip. I never unpacked it. I think it's home is by my recliner. Who knows that might change some day, and I don't have a clue where to start with a RTA.
  15. Welcome to Vapor Talk! Quitting was so much easier when I got a good setup. The cig-a-like products did not provide enough vapor and nicotine to be satisfying to me. When I got my first ego style battery and Kanger Pro Tank II mini, It all changed. I would recommend looking into a starter kit from Kanger or Aspire with a glass tank. These are not much more expensive here at the Vapor Talk store than a knock off battery and a plastic clearomizer from a local vape shop. This way when you do quit smoking, and move more heavily into vaping you have a great backup rig! Another big thing is the nicotine level of the juice you buy. I would recommend starting high. When I first started I was using a 12mg (1.2%) and it wasn't working. I now use 24mg(2.4%) and it works great! Good Luck, and don't give up!
  16. I rinse them out with water, then soak them in vodka, let them dry overnight and reuse. This will help if they are not too gunked up or burned. I was having the same problem when I first got my Nautilus, but one day it just wasn't a problem any more...I don't know what changed, if I changed the way I was drawing on it, or if the quality of the coils got better, or if the stars all aligned properly.. I wish I could help more!
  17. If there is anything you will hear constantly is Backups, and backups for your backups...and I agree! It sounds like you have a pretty good setup! Welcome to Vapor Talk!
  18. Here is a few! http://shop.vaperev.com/devices/variable-voltage/vapor-flask.htm http://www.gratefulvaper.com/dna-40-mods.html http://www.freighttrainmods.com/
  19. I am excited to get the iStick. I keep a pretty good supply of backups, and was hoping this with the mini would be a good all day rig, that is a little smaller than my MPV. I drive most of the day and stop frequently, refilling is a quick easy thing. I have some amazon gift cards burning a hole in my pocket and I found the Sigelei for a little over $100. I was hoping to eventually put a big dripper on it. I am not sure if it is really the way I want to go though. I really like my fruity flavors during the day, and my relaxing creamy flavors in the dripper in the evening. It has kind of turned into a ritual. I was hoping that the iStick would allow me to go to 15 - 20 watts with the BVC coils, but I think i may be a little limited due to the ohms of the coil and max volts.... dang you ohm's law.... I think all of my coils are 1.8 ohm, so 16.8 watts may be the limit. It is still higher than my 11 on my MPV.
