I have been using an iStick as my All Day Vape for a few weeks, and I totally agree with Tameiki on this. I think it is a great rig, but probably not the best thing to recommend yet. I have had no problems up to this point, but there are many that have. Like all new electronic boxes, these were released pretty hastily. The Vision products have a long track record. If a starter box mod is on your list, the MVP is proven. The iSticks have a few weaknesses mainly with the 510 connection. I have not had this problem, yet.

I guess, the way it applies to us in vaping, there are really only 2 things we can change. (I am not taking into account advanced vaping such as Variable Voltage/Variable Wattage power supplies and building your own coils) An example: A simple battery has a voltage of 3.8 Volts Your Atomizer has a resistance of 1.8 Ohms Using this calculator: http://www.ohmslawcalculator.com/ohms_law_calculator.php you plug in the to "known" numbers. This tells you that you are putting out about 8 watts. As you increase voltage or decrease ohms your wattage will increase which will mean a hotter vape. Another good tool is: http://www.steam-engine.org/ohm.asp You will catch on soon, it seems intimidating at first, but is pretty simple. Don't get too hung up on the numbers (unless you are working with mechanical mods and making you're own coils). Mess with it a bit, and come back and ask questions, we are all glad to help you get started!

What's Your 18350 Battery Of Choice For Powering Rebuildables?
jasonculp replied to Rixter's topic in Batteries and Chargers
I am no help either, but would like to know the answer too! I bought a couple of Xtar and later found out that they are only rated at 7amps my go to build is .4ohms. So this is a no go. I have seen the purple Efests and they are said to be rated at 10.5 amps. This is right at my limit and have read they exaggerate their amperage claims. I really like the size of the 4nine with the 18350's and would like to use it. I have really quit using my drippers, it is just too much trouble. I only use them in the evenings sitting in my recliner. I enjoy the experience I get from them, but sometimes it isn't worth the added effort. -

I have quite a few. I need to go check. I have been looking for a deal on some 1.5 ohm BVC's because I have screwed up my system of cleaning them and now have them all mixed up. I don't know which are newer or older. I had a few soaking in different containers and my wife combined them.... It was totally my fault, I left them on the kitchen counter... -

Never mind...couldn't stand it. I will let y'all know. They only had stock on the 1.0 ohm. I hope they are closer to 1.1... my iStick will not go below 1 ohm. I guess if it doesn't work I can put it on the MPV. -

I am also finding it hard to pull the trigger on them, but from what I have read, they should last that long. Tam would know much more about the construction, but I am assuming that it uses SS mesh for the wicking material... That is totally a guess. -
I totally agree with this! I am an addict. I have been addicted to many different street drugs, alcohol, and cigarettes. If you notice I have changed the addictive substance from nicotine to cigarettes. I honestly have to say it was not the nicotine. I had many other options. I chewed, dipped, tried cigars and none worked. They all delivered nicotine. There was also patches, gum and even inhalers. None did the trick. I am not sure why vaping has stuck, but it has. I am convinced that there is another substance, or combination of substances that is in cigarettes that make it more satisfying than other products.

I have not had any of my batteries too long. So far I stick to Sony VTC4's and Efest and Xtar. I am rotating them out quite a bit and can tell very little difference from one to the other. I would assume that like any mass produced item, you will get a bad one every once in a while. Here is a link to Compenstine's web page for some VTC4's at a good price: http://www.fadoravapor.com/store/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=16 Or here at the Vapor Talk web page for some VTC3's: http://www.vaportalk.com/product-category/ecig-batteries/ecig-mod-batteries/ I personally don't buy any batteries from my local B&M. I have caught them pushing poor quality batteries for really expensive prices.

The nautilus mini will work fine with the spinner! What are you not liking about the EMOW?
-
I have been thinking about this. I have never tried it, so YMMV. If the insulators will come out easily I would remove them. I would hate for some of the liquid to get trapped and slowly seep out and cause problems. That being said, if they are difficult to remove, I wouldn't risk damaging one and having to go through the trouble of finding a replacement. Of course this is all speculation!

Thanks! That means a lot. It will be difficult to repay all I have learned here.

Great video! Thanks for doing it. These guys/gals don't get near enough credit for all the work they do!

Well, I don't want comp to turn red or anything, but I will agree. I have not done nearly enough business for all of the help he has given me. I have only had a few opportunities to do business with him, each time he has gone above and beyond!

I for one have started going backwards, kinda. Of course I can't recommend it 100 percent, because I have not had it long enough, but I really like the iStick. It comes in many different colors to fit all tastes. I vape it at 11 - 12 watts and it has lasted me up to 2 days. It is tiny. With my Nautilus Mini and a short drip tip, it is pocketable. It is just a thought!
-
I have to agree wholeheartedly on the "Home" button. I bet the store gets 200 hits a day from me alone. I am getting better at it though!
-
I for one didn't like the change from the original to 4.1 at first. After using it a few weeks, I have really grown to like it. In fact I prefer it over 3.0 quite a bit. I also like the light colored theme. My eyes seem to work better with the light background and darker text. Of course this is just my observation and opinion, I will keep coming back no matter what theme you use!
