  1. The only problem now (even though I may not get it until after the holidays) I am itching for a higher wattage, bigger box mod. I know it is just an excuse... It will run fine on my MPV, my mechanicals, or possibly even my tiny iStick, although it will look funny....
  2. I fall victim to this all of the time, please forgive me! I make fun of my parents all of the time and some of the old timers at work but at the end of the day I always turn to them when I need true wisdom. I am really glad that old dogs can learn new tricks! I am sure before much longer, I will be an old dog. (I feel that way now when my grand kids bring new x-box games over....except RockBand... I'm still the champ)
  3. I am not really in the mood to vape it, but I would eat a pound of it if, it was in front me!
  4. I am sure you will get a lot of answers from the guys here, it is very common to use different voltages/wattages for different juices. I personally don't do this, but it is because I only use one flavor in tanks and a couple in drippers. I really don't like the flavors I drip in the tanks, and I can't stand to drip the flavor I put in my tanks. I do use different voltages/wattages for different tanks or coils. I use lower wattages on my dual coil attomizers and higher in my vertical coils.
  5. I found this the other day while looking for other things and though it might help someone. It is an adapter to use the small BDC or BVC coils in a Kanger Protank 1,2, or 3. It is not for the Nautilus coils. It is for the smaller coil that is used in the ET-S, the new CE5, Vivi Nova, or K1. http://vapenquit.co.uk/product/kanger-protank-dual-coil-conversion-adaptor/ I have never used this adapter, or bought from this store and I am not sure exactly why you would want it. I just found it interesting!
  6. I will definitely do a review. I have been doing a lot of reading, the only complaint I have found so far was the fact that it has a 1-piece chimney. They say your wicks can be moved off of the channels when you tighten it down. I am excited to learn and know nothing about RTA's. I have my drippers down pretty good, but wicking isn't nearly as critical. Now the wait until it arrives.....
  7. I definitely left my thumb there! I really enjoyed those books. I was trying explain these to my step-daughter and grandson and they couldn't believe I had stacks of them. I couldn't believe they had no idea what I was talking about! Do they even still make them? It's a sad day.
  8. I have really wanted to jump into RTA's. I have read everything I have been able to get my hands on. I ended up buying a Billow by EHPRO&EcigCity. http://www.eciggity.com/billow-rta-by-ehpro-eciggity/ There are so many to choose from! I originally was looking at the Russians and Kayfun, but read they have a tight draw compared to many of the newer designed RTA's (I understand they are all made off of a similar design) It was a toss up between the Billow, Lemo, Orchid, Fogger, and Erlkonigin. I really can't tell you why I ended up picking the one I did, I just did. I am sure if it is something I enjoy I will own most if not all of them...lol What do y'all think?
  9. It looks like you found a good kit, and a good B&M. A good place to go try and sample juice is a great thing. I really like the idea of trying juice before you buy it. I have sat at the local shop for hours trying different flavors, ones I really like to eat/drink only to find out I don't like to vape them! I was like you, quitting tobacco flavors helped. I am sure it is purely psychological on my part, but it helped. Good luck on your journey!
  10. Congratulations! Welcome to Vapor Talk!
  11. Welcome to Vapor Talk Taylor!
  12. I finally had to install team viewer on my mom's computer. I don't know how many times I have driven over there to fix her stuck computer. When i get there I scroll down and click ok... If the button is off screen it doesn't exist.
  13. I think when it comes to IT...all bets are off! I am the first stage IT guy at our company (I am a salesman for oilfield/agricultural products not IT) I try to pass it off to our IT company, but their service is terrible, long waits, and poor service. I ate dinner with the regional (multiple state) IT director for a national cable/internet/telephone provider. Some of his stories are amazing, and most of the dumbest ones are from within his own company!
  14. I appologize, I was thinking of a different tank. I went back and looked at the protank 3 mini and I don't think over tightening can block the airflow holes in the base. There are the 3 small holes on the bottom-most piece. If they get blocked it will stop airflow. They are high enough on the base I doubt they can be covered up. The airflow comes up the middle of the coil so make sure there is nothing blocking it there either.
  15. If you remove it from the battery, or loosen it quite a bit is it still a tight draw?
  16. Well heck... I am now sitting here very green. I can't figure out how I vape...lol It seems like a combination of the two. All I know is I have made myself sick trying to decide...lol
  17. I don't mind the 1.2 and up builds, whatever works best! I suspect from what you are saying airflow and the juice have much to do with the flavor, and overall performance. I guess my confusion comes from all the choices of RTA's. I am normally a mouth to lung vapor. I like an open airy draw. (I think this is why I can't keep Kanger products from flooding on me, and I am right on the edge of flooding my Aspires also) I guess I need to start a new thread about the different opinions of RTAs there is so many choices. I know they mostly all work off of the same principle, but each has a little different features. Edit: I said mouth to lung, I mean straight to lung...I don't know what the correct term for that is. I do a slight mouth to lung at times, but generally straight to lung. It is strange since my analog style was totally mouth to lung.
  18. I think this is why I have been looking at the RTA's lately. I really want something small, like between a Mini and Full size Nautilus, descent capacity, and good airflow. I would like something that can do dual coil/sub ohm, I don't know if this is something I want, but I would like the option. I have been reading up on all the Kayfun, Orchid, Erl, Fogger, etc. There are so many opinions, ideas, and versions to choose from, my head is swimming!
  19. I tried my first Nautilus rebuild last night. I didn't watch a video. It was a miserable failure! I tried to use a vertical coil and wick it with rayon. My juice just ran down the air hole...lol I guess I need to jump on youtube and watch some videos!
  20. The more I read about the Stratos, I think you are correct. It to me looks like a Nautilus with a sub-ohm coil. I do like the looks of the Subtank. They have a replicable coil, and a build-deck. I really only use Nautilus, mini, and standard as tanks. Tobh, and 454 Bigblock on my 4nine for dripping. I really thinking about getting an RTA and a regulated box mod that will go down to .5 and 30 - 50 watts. Overall I am satisfied with my iSticks and Nautilus, I just want other options.
  21. Earthling is correct. I tried everything to get my nautilus to get to the high wattage that I read about and all I get is burnt tastes. I have used high VG juice and they just don't wick fast enough on the stock coils. I don't know much about RTA's, they are something I am thinking about getting into. I do think there is another option but I am just going by the advertisements, I have never tried them. The new Aspire Atlantis, and the Stratos by Council of Vapor are suppose to be a higher flow sub-ohm tanks with replaceable coils. I think Kanger makes one too, but I am not positive. Edit: yes, Kanger is building a unique one called the Subtank with both coils and rebuildable! These will require a mechanical mod, or a Variable Voltage APV that is capable of sub-ohming. I still don't know alot about these options, but they are out there!
  22. She is good at it too! The reality of it is, I am gonna spend it no matter what, but I am going to blame it on whoever suggested it...lol!
  23. I never thought about a backup battery charger! Dang comp, you are always costing me money....juice, tiger wire, and now a backup battery charger....lol! J/K. I really have thought about getting a 2 bay charger to carry with me on the road. I don't ususally carry my mechs and RDA's, but you never know. My 4 bay has been working flawlessly, but that can change in a flash!
