  1. I guess I was mistaken. I read this on eleaf world: 3) Direct output voltage system is applied in the iStick basic. The higher the battery level, the higher the output voltage. Here It really makes no sense to me, with todays technology, why make a mod that isn't regulated. So it would make much more sense that they changed it since they made the webpage...
  2. I have been curious about this mod for a while. I don't know much about the tank. The original GS got pretty good reviews, but not too sure about this version. The form factor of this thing is great. My biggest issue with it is that it is not variable wattage or voltage. In fact, it seems like it just applies battery voltage, and that is it, not regulated at all. The tank does have 3 coil choices which is nice. The magnetic connection is really neat looking.
  3. Those batteries will work great at the power you are using it at. Personally with a good 20watt battery (which the HE2s are, I would keep it below 150 watts or so, and it will be very safe, no matter how low you go on the build. I am being a bit conservative by like to err on the side of safety. At 45 - 60 watts the he2 will not be the longest lasting battery. I would pickup another set of HG2s or Samsung 30Qs to keep charged while you use the other set. It is really nice not to have to wait for a set to charge.
  4. I guess I need to figure out what size they really are. I am sure they are metric. I sell o-rings as part of my job, in fact I sold $2500 of them of a special EPDM that is peroxide cured today. What material do y'all think they should be made of? Most of ours are just plain old Buna-Nitrile 70 duro. I don't stock very many metric and the ones I do are all way too big. I really don't know what the best material would be, Buna is the cheapest and chemically compatible, but Silicone would probably be better.
  5. Like most things in vaping, it depends. Use Ohm's law to calculate how much draw you are pulling from your battery, and if is below the CDR (Continuous Discharge Rate) you will be fine. Here is an example: If you atomizer is .5 ohms and your battery is fully charged you will be putting 35 watts to the coil, and drawing 8 amps from the battery. If you are running a 20 watt or better battery you will be fine. Don't go by the numbers written on the battery to determine what it's CDR is, most are wrong. Also don't take anyone at a vape shop, or forums word for what the capacity, only trust the testers. Here is a link to the best battery guy in the vape world: Mooch's blog - picking a safe battery. Another thing that worries me is if your battery will be able to move only running one battery. If it flops around it could short on something in the box and it could be disastrous. You should not put a dead battery with a good one to fill the space as it will cause even more problems. CAUTION! unsolicited advice follows: Save up some money, and pick up a good regulated dual 18650 mod and a couple new batteries from LG, HG, or Samsung. Good mods can be bought for less than $50 and batteries around $7/each. You will be much more happy with the additional power and stability of a regulated mod, and you will be much safer at the same time.
  6. I am just like @Earthling789. I am up over 30 batteries, and really don't have one I don't like. They each have their place. HB2s, HB6s, and VTC3s are all for my high wattage usage, which is seldom. VTC4s and HD2s are my mid range batteries, and don't see much use. I use my 25Rs, HE2s, HE4s, 30Qs, and HG2s are my daily use batteries. I don't pick and choose, I just grab the next ones and throw it in my battery case or mod. They all work great. The 30Qs and HG2s do last noticeably longer. I also will be replacing the every day use batteries with either 30Qs and HG2s as I pay them forward, or they die. I also have some Efest and Xtar 18650s 18500s and 18350s that I haven't used in a long time. I keep them charged, you know, backups for backups....
  7. I really like them too. I really like the Samsung 30Q also. It's amperage (CDR) not rated as high as the HG2, but Mooch's tests put them nearly dead even with the HG2. I am getting equivalent life out of them for a little less money. I am currently running 6 of each and very pleased with both. Even though the MFG rates it at a 15A battery, Mooch says it is a good 20A battery. He is so conservative in his testing, I feel safe recommending it as a 20A battery. I personally never vape that high any more. At 50 watts and a single sell I am pushing close to 15, but normally I am never above 25 watts. If I need to go higher, I use a 2 cell mod. 2 cells at 100 watts is in close to 15A. If I still need more, I use the 3 cell mod. 3 cells at 150 watts is close to 15A. If I need more than 150 watts.... never mind.... I don't need over 150 watts. If I did I guess I would throw the HB6's in it. Samsung 30q - Liion Wholesale - $6.75 Samsung 30q - Illumn - $6.00 Mooch's Testing - Samsung 30Q vs LG HG2 Shootout Round 2 Results...they're still equal performers
  8. Here is a good deal on them. John is really a great guy and will take care of you. Liion Wholesale $6.95 My other favorite is: Illumn - OUT OF STOCK - $5.99 But they are out of stock
  9. Just an FYI, but the .25 and .5 coils are not Ni200, they are 316L-SS. This could be your problem. The .15 is a Ni200. If you are trying to run SS in the Ni200 setting your temp numbers will be incorrect. Are you using a VT or the VTC Mini? The mini has SS settings if you use the latest upgrade. If you are using the VT you might have much better luck with the .15 coils. I run my VTC MIni with the Crown at 500F and 25 - 30 watts with the .5 SS coils. I find if I have the airflow totally open the vape is quite cool, so I run it at about 50%

  11. It may be, but it will work fine for 18650's. They just usually make those slots a bit bigger.
  12. You can charge much faster if you just put the cells in those bays and turn it up. I personally don't like charging over 1A but it is perfectly within the charging specifications of most good batteries. I personally don't know if it hurts them, but they get hotter, and in my little brain, more heat = less battery life.... but, it may not hurt them at all.
  13. Well that is about the only thing I could think of. It is strange it started all of the sudden. To me the things you change the most is your juice, and your coils... so one of them must have changed.... I guess...lol
  14. I really can't be much help, but looking at the coils, the juice control is on the coil itself. I hate to ask, but are all 3 holes open? It may not be 3 holes, but it says it has 3 sizes of holes. I would put it on the largest one.
  15. I have a 50 watt Snow Wolf that was sent to me when Asmodus's supplier never came through with the Colossal. I have never been pleased with it. At the time it was a $100 mod and a $50 Zero Clone worked much better. It was one of their first temp controlled mods, so I chocked it up to a bad first design. I personally have been very pleased with my RX200, but I don't use it much. I keep a Velocity dripper on it and use it on weekends or lazy time....which doesn't happen very often.
  16. I am still running the Kanger NEOBOX. Work has been so stressful lately (and I can vape in my offices), that I have been chain vaping. I was only using a battery a day, but now one will not quite last until I get home. I am running 22 watts with a Kanthal .5 ohm coil in the RBA.
  17. I have got so lazy....er busy...lately that charging hasn't been a priority. I have a couple dozen batteries, but I use 3 in 2 days on my NEBOX. When I get down to the last few (no spares) I have to start charging them. I keep a 4 battery case full and when I don't have a replacement for my dead ones, I start recharging. Not the best plan...
  18. If I had it to do over again, I would buy the LUC. I don't regret buying it, it is a great charger, but think I would have been happier with LUC.
  19. I don't know. It has the bluetooth, but I rarely use it. In fact it kinda sucks having to push the button to get a readout to see where each battery is at. LUC shows the status of all batteries at once. The app is neat, but it is more of a novelty.
  20. It is really nice to be able to charge 10 at a time! I keep both of them busy on the weekend.
  21. I have had mine a couple of months and love it! It has been flawless. Oops nevermind....mine is this one: http://www.efestpower.com/index.php?ac=article&at=read&did=408
  22. Enjoy! I have a clone, and it is my go to dripper. It is so easy to build on, and it has airflow for days!
  23. Like @Compenstine said if you're not going to use it, there is not much use in updating. On the other hand, the update has been out 6/18/15 and there have been no reports of it causing problems, and you might decide to use the features. The Titanium support would be the thing that would be a necessity for me.
