Bump when you get something in vape mail.
jasonculp replied to Tam's topic in General Vaping Discussion
I Forgot to post mine too, same thing, black IPV mini V2. I got it on Friday the 13th. So far so good. I am trying to limit myself to 1 of each style mod... still thinking about getting a V1. -
We have such a great group of vapors here. We have people who like a cool, mild vape, to the cloud chasers and everything in between. They all have great advice and will do all they can to keep you off the stinkys!

Lotus Jellyfish Box Mod
jasonculp replied to shen_long86's topic in Share the Latest Vaping Products
I watched Phil's review of it last night. It is amazing what some people think you would want in a box mod. Especially after the iStick mean calculation. I actually think it looks cool, and has a big battery, but after reading about it .... no thank you. -
Can someone point me in the direction for an upgrade?

To be honest, I personally have 5 electronic mods that go 30 watts or higher. I rarely use them over 20. My current setup is a Kanger SubTank Mini using the OCC coils I run it at 20 watts on my ipv mini v2. I have a Tobh RDA on my Sigelei Mini 30 watt right now and it is set at 30 watts. I ran my Nautilus on an MPV for months at 11 watts. It is the mod that kept me from smoking and got me over the "hump" It is a great APV! -
I noticed that on the last couple boxes I bought. Do you think they have changed to cotton? I didn't get to test since I got them in and sent them right out in a PIF package... Dang...if I would have read closer, it says COTTON right on the warning...

It really is. I have spent so much money on this stuff, but not nearly as much as if i was still on analogs!
-
I have that trouble too. I like having 2 or 3 of everything I like!
-
I hate that for you. The expense of the cab ride, and the mod when it is unexpected really sucks, but it is much better than picking up a pack! Most of mine lately has just been shinyitus....I have plenty of vape gear, but, when I see something new and shiny and have to buy it...it's a bad habit!

I think he needs to make a commission on the sales! -
I am in the same boat. My current mini electronic box obsession has busted my budget, for months....but I keep spending. I am getting close to needing more juice and another tank... I keep PIF my good stuff

I don't use mechanical mods much any more, but the FUhattan has really caught my eye too! Here is another one that I like the looks of. I am not really happy with Asmodus right now, but this is a great looking mechanical mod: http://www.vaporrange.com/asMODus-Klone-V1-5-18650-22mm-Mechanical-Mod-p/as-klone1.5.htm

Bump Everytime You Buy Something New
jasonculp replied to blucavvy's topic in General Vaping Discussion
Cool! I just got my V2 and I like it so much I think I am going to get a V1 soon. I really like the way it fits my hand. I think you will enjoy it very much, the SX130 is a great chip. -
Broke my dna 30 clone
jasonculp replied to shen_long86's topic in Troubleshooting & Technical Issues
Dang, that sucks. It wouldn't be an extremely hard fix. The charging boards and buttons are fairly inexpensive. Hot glue is a PITA though. -
Broke my dna 30 clone
jasonculp replied to shen_long86's topic in Troubleshooting & Technical Issues
On most Hana Clones the charging board is separate from the main board. I have all of the pinouts for the DNA boards and chargers, but I doubt it is the same. You might be able to cut the wires at the proper place and continue to use it, and charge the battery externally. -
Since I am not doing as much overnight travel lately, the replicable 18650's have been great! I keep 3 charged with me at all times. It only takes 1 for a day, but you never know. Once I get back to traveling (gone 3 nights a week) I may go back to the iSticks just for charging. I hate carrying my i4 charger on the road. I may have to get a new Xtar 2 bay or a Nitecore. I am liking this ipv mini V2 so much I may have to get a V1. The price of them is falling every day!

The only difference in size is the little cap on top. The picture below kinda shows the difference there is only 2mm or a hair over 1/16 inch different in the height. Everything else is the same.

You won't be disappointed. The MVP's are bullet proof, they have a good flat output signal and the new spring-loaded 510 connector fixes the biggest problem people had with the MVP 2. I quit using the MVP because of the size/weight. I got my first iStick 20 and never used the MVP again. Then I got the 30 watt, and quit the 20 watt. Then the Sigelei mini and quit using the iStick 30watt. I just got my ipv mini v2 and it looks like the Sigelei has moved to backup....and funny thing is I am now back up to one that is nearly as big and heavy as the MVP...

I am not sure what you are asking, but if you are asking if the the 30watt is better and more durable than the 20watt, it is a definite yes! I never stripped the connector in my 20 watts, but many had trouble. I would pay as much as $10 - $15 more for the 30 watt. I rarely ever use anything over 20 watts, but the improvements such as the better 510 connection, better wattage regulation, screen flip, power lock, the new lip to match 22mm tanks all make it a much better value for your money...IMO

It is just a thought, but do you think the burnt flavor could be stuck in your coil or the juice in your tank? The iStick 20W does not buck (lower voltage below battery voltage) very good (if at all). So when it is fully charged it would be putting out close to 10 watts. My personal experiance is that fruit flavors like you are using are generally best for me in the 10+ watt range. * the wattage numbers I am using is based on the assumption that you are using a 20watt iStick and not a 30watt iStick. The 20 watt uses a nonstandard measurement system that makes it much hotter based on the numbers on the screen. 9 watts on an iStick 20 is equal to 12.8 watts on most other devices.

What juice are you running? A higher VG juice can be difficult for the coil to wick. If it it runs dry it can cause the burnt taste. Aspire has come out with larger holes on their newer coils to help with wicking on higher VG juices. Like Tam said it is best to run the highest ohm coil possible with the 20 watt iStick it will allow for the coolest vape. I ran my mini as high as 8 - 10 watts with 50/50 juice. I was running Fadora Vapor's Frutti Tutti in it http://www.fadoravapor.com/store/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=1_9&products_id=216

I noticed that too. Thanks for putting them side by side, well one above the other, it really makes the differences stand out. I have looked at the DNA clones, and the SX350s and they are not even close to the real thing if you put them side by side. I took it apart to wrap it, and to cure my curiosity about the chip, but I have just made curiosity worse!
-
I was also looking at the Hobo v2 and the Geyser. Both are really unique. I don't guess it ever ends. I have no self control though. I have a Clouper Mini, more batteries, Muji cotton, IPV mini V2, and another SubTank Mini on the way. I have to stop! I don't need any of it.

My Tobhs are so cheap, it you try to torque them down too much the screw would snap! If you are looking for big holes the Doge looks like they would hold a quad 22 gauge dual coil build I have never seen one in real life. I also like the looks of the Dark Horse. I just don't use RDAs much any more, so I have not kept up!
-
I bet you are correct. If it is a YiHi, it is programmed for them, because it shows their logo when you turn it on. It also shows that it will fire down to .3ohm and YiHi says .5ohm. I guess it really does not matter...it works great!
-
I am sure you tried it, but did you tighten the center pin? My Tobhs both got loose and the only thing holding the center pin is the copper screw in the center of the 510 (positive pin?) I really like the looks of the CLT v2 clones, but I can't find them really cheap!
