Thanks Rixter! I have had that video sitting in my "watch later" for months and I have not watched it. I am really glad I did. I didn't understand how much the new technology would do for us. I am definitely going to be looking a lot harder at a DNA-40 or DNA-25 device. Some of the things that amazes me about the board: Reverse battery protection (should have always been there) It will not allow you to draw more amps than the battery will safely handle (how does it know if you have a 10 amp or 25 amp battery?) The way it just limits the temperature of the coil, not the power to the coil. (I always thought they were the same) This has to be one of the safest boards on the market. I hope YiHi's new temp control has similar features, it is always good to have competition to keep prices down!

I have Direct TV. It is running me $169/month. My internet/home phone is $111/month. I live in a small town, no cable, no competition, no luck. My stepson is one of the phone technicians in my town and he says we have some of the best internet in town. I pay for 15mbps and get closer to 5. I can't do away with my home phone due to no cell coverage, and can't do away with the dish because the internet sucks.

Here is where I got the white one: http://www.jwraps.com/ Their site shows that they do custom ones. I do not know about their other products, but the one I bought from them is not as high of quality as the Chinese black sheet I bought from amazon. It fit good, but not as thick or heavy duty. http://www.vaporskinz.com/ also shows custom design.

I have got pneumonia twice in the last 2 years. I have terrible allergies and sometimes I don't realize I am actually sick until it too late. This year my lungs have been great! It is so much better, my doctor commented on it.

I have had my finger on the trigger many times tonight. I have seen them as cheap as $49... It would make a great driving rig for me. I just have to resist for a few weeks... by then something newer and shinier and more expensive will be out... -
That does not surprise me! I have been involved in 2 plane crashes, and 1 industrial accident. Some were reported locally and one was national. If they would have left out the location details and dates, I would have never been able to tell they were talking about the same accident. Recently there was another plane crash near me. I was watching it on the news. They had an expert tell his guestimate of what had happened. I was screaming at the television, because there expert didn't have a clue what he was talking about. I could see the wreckage in the background and he had the engine type wrong. Don't get me wrong, the average person couldn't tell the difference between a turbine engine and piston engine, but an expert could tell just by the blades on the bent propeller.... I do not put a lot of stock in what reporters say, because they are human, and humans "missremember", and inject their own bias on any situation. I am just as guilty as they are, I am human too. The only difference is I am not an expert, or a reporter.

I know! I love how detailed he is and how he looks at many things that some don't have capability to test. You better block off half an evening though! -
I have found it is nearly impossible to convince people who don't want to know that they are wrong. Ethylene glycol is the active ingredient in most automotive antifreeze. Propylene glycol is an antifreeze. It is not used in automotive applications because it is corrosive when it is oxidized. It is used in water systems where Ethylene glycol is would be too toxic. Of course it is used in many different foods for this purpose and as a solvent to carry drugs into your system. It is generally considered non toxic. (Anything is toxic in high enough concentration) Polyethylene glycol 3350 is a laxitive... Propylene is a hydrocarbon that is created from refining oil and natural gas. Propolene is a dietary fiber. Just because it sounds the same...sure doesn't mean it is the same. I sucked at chemistry in school. Now I have to use it daily. *Edited because the marked through section is not completely correct. PG can produce acid when heat and oxygen are introduced. It is used in "safe antifreeze" but usually contains buffering agents.

I may order that next time. I have enough of this muji to last a year for me...
-
I have not tried it yet. I was given some muji that looks exactly like what comes with the SubTank and it has worked really good on the RBA, but for some reason I keep going back to the 1.2 ohm OCC coils. They seem to vape fine, but get really cruddy looking fast!

Phil's review is up. He was very positive about the iStick 50 watt. I have not got one yet, but I want one, and a mini to round out my collection! -
I got some new Muji cotton and I have not tried any since I got it. This stuff is extremely uniform. It is more uniform than the normal Muji that I have got from other people. I must have ordered the wrong thing. These have layers and the fibers all run one direction. The stuff I had before only had a top layer(thin) and middle layer(thick) and bottom layer(thin). This stuff I got in has 4 distinct layers and has more unidirectional.

I have tried about 10, and none have worked. I really don't have any problem building them, it is getting the wicking correct. I have been attempting to rebuild the subtank coils. I get the coil built fine, but the wick is either too tight or too loose, can't find the happy medium!

I got it from a chineese vendor on Amazon. It got better reviews than the 3m and it was cheap. I bought the black it was about a 2 foot by 6 foot roll. It seems to be higher quality than the stuff I got from J-Wrap (white). I didn't take them apart to wrap them. I took the door off of the ipv3 and I only did the sides. I used the angled chrome part to lay my razorblade on to make the cuts. If you keep the blade at the right angle and go slow it will only cut the vinyl while skimming the edge of the box. The Sigelei mini I completely wrapped the 3 sides (the back side is the battery door) I left about a 1/2" overhang on top and bottom. I pressed it flat as hard as I could and it made the seams at the top and bottom and around the buttons and screen visible. I then took a razor and gently cut them out. It takes a fairly steady hand, but the edges kind of guide you. It is harder to explain than it really was doing it. This really makes me want to build a real carbon fiber box to do a custom build. I have never worked with carbon fiber, but I have done a lot of fiberglass work. Many of the pieces on our airplanes were fiberglass and birds like cropdusters...lol

I do like the freaky art work! I am just too "plain jane" to carry it with me. I would really like a vinyl cutter to make the custom wraps, but this is my mechanical/industrial side coming out! I am fascinated with anything CNC related. I love rapid prototyping of any kind. We make a lot of gaskets/parts on our waterjet(s) and we sub out some laser/plasma work depending on finish quality needed. It is so cool to be on the road, with the customer, email a drawing to the shop and have a finished product in the customers hand the next day.

Dang. That red is sweet! It is Texas Tech colors... I would get cracked over the head and someone would steal it around here! I have always wanted a Hana in red, but they have always been more money than I wanted to spend on a single mod. They are coming down in price, but still not where I want them yet. They are $99 for a DNA30... https://www.hanamodz.com/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=66&zenid=66549ef12ad71e9dcf829b86a49e2d3c but it is just like buying a computer at Dell. I start with the $199 and end up with a $1999 computer. Here is the one I would end up buying: https://www.hanamodz.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=67&products_id=183&zenid=66549ef12ad71e9dcf829b86a49e2d3c I am going to have to put all of my credit cards in the freezer, and close my paypal account.

I just read that the RBA will NOT work with Atlantis.
-
I may pick one up next week. I really have not seen them in too many places. I need to get on the hunt!
-
I am trying to keep my mind off of buying new ones... I have wrecked my budget!

Along with my mini box mod obsession, I have developed a carbon fiber wrap obsession. Here is my ipv3, Sigelei Mini 30 Watt, and ipv mini 2: The black ones are from a roll of vinyl sheet used for cars. The white one is a J-wrap.

When I first saw this I just assumed it was a re-branded Subtank Mini. I was very wrong. This thing looks interesting. It uses an Aspire Atlantis coil and has a RBA section (which I would assume would fit an Atlantis) Here are the details: Very similar to the Aspire Atlantis and even takes the same coils (there are no Sega coils). The improvement is in the design, it's top filling and has "anti-leak" features making this a great option. This next generation tank system brings improved adjustable airflow and Sub Ohm coils that provides performance similar to even the best rebuildable atomizer. By enhancing Aspire's Bottom Vertical Coil design Vapers into a top fill you will experience the best of both. Features Innovative 2 in 1 Glassomizer: Sub Ω + RDA Capacity: 4.5 ml Top Filling Design (easier to fill) Anti-leakage AirFlow Adjustable Design Unique Designed Drip Tip Stainless Steel + Pyrex Glass Tube Φ22mm Contents 1 x Anyvape Sega Tank 1 x Atlantis BVC Coil - 0.5ohm 1 x RDA Coil 1 x DIY Kit (screwdriver, cotton, coil) 1 x eGo adaptor 1 x Instruction Dimensions: Diameter: 22mm Height: 72.5mm Capacity: 4.5 ml Here is the manufacturer's webpage: http://www.anyvape.com/segatank Here is a review:

Great mod! I really want to build one so bad, but I don't have the tools or patience to build one one myself. I am really liking the look of the new DNA25. It would work great for me!

Kinda. The MVP 20 Watt will only go down to 1 ohm. This means you will only be able to use the 1.2ohm OCC coil and the RTA if built at 1 ohm or more. (I am not sure about the 20 watt version, but my MVP2 would actually work at .8 ohm) The iStick on the other hand should be able to fire it fine with the .5 ohm, 1.2 ohm, and the RTA as long as it is built above .4 ohm. The SubTank will be pretty top heavy for the iStick, so is the SubTank Mini, but it is much better thank the SubTank. (IMO)
