  1. I haven't yet, but probably should have got an "Honorable Mention" a few times.... LMAO!
  2. Why didn't I think of this? I have a vacuum/heat sealer at home, and we have a big one at work.... I have just been using ziplocks. You wouldn't believe how often people say...."If I don't pull a Jason...."
  3. Yes, well actually I laid it on it's side to save space. We don't have a deep freeze, but we have 2 refrigerator/freezer combinations. I had them so full at the time, the top shelf was the only place to put it, and it is very short.
  4. LOL... just a side note. If you store nicotine in a bottle in the freezer, put it inside a plastic bag, then into a child proof container. I had a liter in the top of the freezer. When I got my second liter, I grabbed the first one, and it had leaked out about 50ml into the bag I had it wrapped in. It was lying on it's side. They are both wrapped separately, placed upright, inside a container now. It isn't child proof, but I am the only child who lives here (my wife is the adult).
  5. It is. The problem is that artificial flavorings can't be outlawed (everything would taste/smell pretty bland) and the FDA would have to prove that they are manufactured, and distributed with the intent to be used in a vaping product. This would be impossible. If you look at most of the sites they don't include vaping in their intended uses. Same with many other components. Sandvik will not stop making Kanthal because the FDA thinks it should. It isn't made for vaping, and they could care less that it is. I have no way to know the total market share that vape products have in the resistance wire market, but I would have to assume that it is very small.
  6. As I understand it Kanthal will not be affected it at all. Kanthal as a wire is used in many industrial applications we adopted it for use in vaping. Not to mention if it is not marketed for vaping it is not going to be subject to the FDA's regulation. After watching the video that @Compenstine the companies that make the components will not be responsible for filing if their product is not marketed, or intended for vaping products. So the glass maker can still make the glass, the battery maker can still make the battery.... The person who is going to get in trouble is the company that assembles all the individual pieces into a mod, and sells it. The Flavor Apprentice, can still sell flavors, and you will still be able to buy PG and VG. Nicotine will be the problem.
  7. Dang, I thought I was the only one that did this! I keep all the packaging, accessories etc, in the original box. I do still have 4 mods unopened: (2) Wismec 75W (1) Nebox and (1) Evic VTC mini I still have my original MVP 2.0 in it's box with the cords....lol It is well worn, and modified with a spring loaded 510, but still works great. It was my first "real" mod and I can't part with it. I totally agree with you. The battery is the one thing that has a limited lifespan. I am sure the electronics could fail, but but batteries are definitely limited to a certain number of cycles.
  8. Rebuilding might be a big step, or something you are not interested in, but I change my coils out every 2 days....well kinda... I have 6 Subtank Mini RBAs and I clean and build them on the weekend. I pop a new one in as soon as the old one starts to fall off. I haven't calculated it but it couldn't cost but a few cents a coil. *Disclaimer... I am back to Kanthal/Nichrome using Clapton wire like the stuff pictued above. I pull the cotton on the weekend and dry burn, rinse, dry burn, rinse...etc a few times then soak the RBA in Vodka over night. I then blow them off to dry them, re-wick and do it again next week. *** I am not sure if this is a great idea, because they show that dry burning Kanthal is not a good idea. I rinse or wash them, after I dry burn them to minimize the risks.
  9. Congratulations Tam! You (and quite a few others here) have been the only reason I have made it as long! I have always been an internet lurker. I never was one to post. I would just read until I found out the answers, or figured it out on my own. The help and kindness you have shown others, led me to become part of this family. Thank you!
  10. I use my NEBOX all day, everyday (I lost one today...I hope it turns up!) With the Samsung 30Q or the HG2 I can go most of the day at 25 watts. With a HE4 or 25R I can get nearly through work. I also charge my batteries on a separate charger, it does a much better job than the internal battery. I personally carry 4 spare batteries, and 2 spare mods in my laptop bag so I never am left without something to vape. I agree with the previous poster on the RX200, it is heavy, but comfortable and if you keep 3 batteries charged, and 3 in the mod, it just takes seconds to change them. You might go to a local vape shop and handle a few dual 18650 mods such as the Cuboid, ipv, iStick, and the Kangars and see which one feels the best in your hand. I am sure there are some other ones out there that have an internal battery, but I just don't keep up with them. I have over 2 dozen batteries and for me I would much rather charge on them outside a mod, and they are so quick and easy to change.
  11. Vapocalypse supplies round 2. Round 3 will be starting soon....
  12. I have a liter of 50/50, and just ordered a liter of 100% PG... this could have been a mistake, as I haven't put it in a calculator. I really don't mind PG though, so if I end up with a 50/50 or even a 60PG/40VG blend I will be ok with that.
  13. I have not bought any HG2s in a while. I have been buying 30Qs instead. They are a bit cheaper, and easier to find. I also prefer the pink wrapper over the brown. I checked the 4 I have left and they are all legit, but none of them came from IMR. Thanks to @Earthling789 I now label all of my batteries with a month/year and who I bought them from. It has helped me keep track of them, and decide which ones to pay forward or replace.
  14. There has been a batch of LG HG2s that has turned out to be either defective or possibly counterfeit. Here is a few links that have details: Can you identify the fake LG HG2 18650 Battery? LG HG2 with gloss finish insulator Counterfeit/Low Grade LG HG2 Test Results Mooch suggests, and I agree that the 30Q would probably be a smarter purchase until they get this straightened out. I have noticed a big "LG Blowout" from some vendors, and I suspect it is to clear their inventory of any of these batteries, if they actually have any of the Low Grade/Counterfeit batteries.
  15. The 4S is would be a great cloud chasing rig if topped with the correct atomizer. I am not an expert by any stretch of the imagination. 100 watts is more than enough with the correct build. I personal don't do much intentional cloud chasing. I use kanthal or kantal/nichrome clapton wire and a velocity clone for high wattage. I use the same premade clapton wire for my all day vape too (25watts - 30watts). I personally need a bit of PG (80vg/20pg or 70vg/30pg) because I need the throat hit. Max VG, high airflow, and high coil surface area are the most important things for large clouds. These things don't really fit my vaping style, I like a warmer, slightly restricted, vape.
  16. I really can't recommend one either. I have a few, but they are all cantankerous, and potentially unsafe if not well maintained. The possible power output is much lower than any decent variable wattage mod. (not that high wattage is necessary for cloud chasing) A single battery mechanical mod that is 4.2V with a .15 ohm coil would be only producing 126 watts/30 Amps. This is about as high as you can go, without being dangerous. As @FXRich said the RX 200 with the proper batteries can safely go to 250 watts and not be unsafe. It also will provide the same amount of wattage to the atomizer for the entire charge of the batteries. The mechanical will only provide 126 watts for a few seconds, and depending on battery sag, the second draw could be less than 91 watts. I keep a few around, just in case vapocalypse happens, but don't use them.
  17. What an awesome testimony to what will power, and a great alternative to smoking can do for you. Thanks for sharing, and Congratulations!
  18. I don't have a lot of experience with it, but you might switch to stainless steel, if your mod supports it. Titanium also is much easier to work with. Dual coils with TC are challenging.
  19. Here are Mooch's tests: HohmLife 36.3A 3077mAh 18650 Bench Test Results...only a 20A- battery but a great one, equal to HG2 HohmWork 40.6A 2531mAh 18650 Bench Test Results...only a 20A battery but great, better than HE2 I wouldn't be afraid of them at all, but they break my personal number one rule of batteries. If they are going to put the Amperage on them it should be the Constant Discharge Amperage, not some "Pulse" rating.
  20. Welcome to Vapor Talk! Please send all hated NEBOX's to me....lol I agree, the NEBOX isn't the best mod out there. I have found a really good setup that I am enjoying on mine. I am running 3 in my daily rotation while at work. It is definitely not the best mod I have, or even in the top 5, but it is so dang handy. I really enjoy my istick 40, but really need replicable batteries, so it stays as my glovebox backup I carry 3 others mods/tanks with me so I have never had to get down to it yet. I agree it was a flop....but I like it...lol I hope V2 actually works the way it is supposed to...
  21. Glad to hear you are enjoying it! I totally understand what you are talking about in this economy. About 25% - 30% of our business is oilfield related, and with the oil prices, they are not buying anything they absolutely have to have. One of my largest customers, an oilfield equipment manufacturer has closed 2 plants in my area. We have lost a few employees lately and the owner isn't replacing them, just spreading the load between the current employees, and it makes it very tough on the rest of us, but we are still employed! It is a good thing that I also enjoy my job, because it is all I get to do any more.
  22. I will probably grab one too when they hit the $30 - $40 range. Here lately with the work schedule, driving, and general hectic life my NEBOXes have treated me very well. I carry 2 and a Presa 75W/Crown as a backup. I am holding out hope for a better V2 of the NEBOX or possibly the new Smoant Knight I really love the form factor.
  23. Not yet. I have (2) 75 watt versions and I really like them. I personally don't need them, but shinyitus usually wins.
  24. Who knows? This stuff from China, and the poor translations, who knows what it does...lol
