  1. Here is the kit I carry with me daily: I am not on the road over night lately, so I don't carry any wire, coil building tools, etc. I am going to have to build me a larger kit for when I start doing overnights again.
  2. I am jealous! I had one in the cart last night and backed out.
  3. Stop it! You know I have a problem, and you're just encouraging me
  4. I do both. The biggest flavor I have ever got was using a dual twisted vertical .25 ohm coil in a Tobh. The only problem was the wicking. It was a bit slow unless I dripped directly on the wick. I bought the 454 big block to make use of the vertical coil, the only problem is the horizontal seem to taste better in it. I have been tempted to try one in my SubTank Mini. I have read about people doing them, but no one seems to have perfected it. I guess after this long ramble... I guess it just depends on what mood hits me. I do think the horizontal with both ends of the wick in the juice wicks better, of course this is only my opinion.
  5. I am with you on this. I don't know what the ceramic stuff was, or if it is safe or not, but the coils worked better for me. I tried one out the other night and I got a lot of flooding. Flavor is fine, but I was flooding it with 70% VG juice. I have also noticed that the Kanger OCC heads seem to loose flavor quicker than the old Nautilus coils, at least for me. I am running the RBA in it now with organic cotton and have not messed with it in nearly a week.
  6. I have not tried them, but have read goo things about them. My 4Nine clone uses magnets and it is great. Here is a link for a supplier with a lot of information: http://www.fatdaddyvapes.com/shop.html You have to scroll down about 2/3s of the way down.
  7. This is true. For some, like me, this is just about as addictive as porn, drugs, ect. It is so much more healthy and life changing in a positive way, so at least it is a good addiction. Another advantage is that I now have tangible items that I can sell, trade or pay it forward, before, I just burned it up and had nothing but ashes, stinky clothes, and bad health! Now if I could just save enough money for the tanks, and the other mods I want....lol
  8. I know. The problem is I still have a big list of stuff I want! I really only use the ipv mini as my daily driver, vapor shark and cloupor mini as backups, and the Sigelei mini with a dripper by my chair.
  9. Here is my collection of mods: Left to Right: iStick 20W Vapor Shark DNA30 Cloupor Mini 30W Cloupor Mini 30W 4Nine - Clone GP Paps - Clone Sigelei Mini 30W IPV Mini II MVP 2.0 IPV 3 In the last few weeks I PIF an iStick 20W, iStick 30W, and a VV 3.0
  10. Thanks for the great review! I bought the knock off version from Fast Tech... wasted money. It will make coils, kinda. It has round head screws that the wire constantly slips off of. I think your suggestions are great, but would like to add another. I wish the pin and top cap were longer too. I use the tool I build the coils to position the coil in the RBA and straighten it when it is tight. It is a little short to do this on some of my atomizers.
  11. 6! Sounds like you will fit in good around here. @Earthling789 can only buy things in multiples of 2! He will be around in a bit to help you (and the rest of us) spend money. The safety thing is most important, but, a close second is that it will be nice to have someone to answer all of my geeky electronic questions!
  12. One thing you will hear preached, yelled, and written is backups. Don't sell, give anything away, trade ect, until you get some backups, and backups of backups! The subtank mini is my all day rig right now. I really think it is great! I use mine on the ipv mini 2, and the sigelei mini 30w. If you are like the most of us here, your wallet will suffer for a while, but after quitting smoking you will eventually get ahead! Welcome aboard!
  13. I am still interested, but I don't have the money to buy the Sega, Delta II, and another SubTank mini. I can't make my mind up which one I want the worst, so I have not bought anything.
  14. I am totally ashamed that this guy is a Texan. I can't believe this is even going to court. The news makes very little mention of how it happened. If you are not familiar with these products you would just think that he was carrying a standard "e-cigarette". Do you think Autozone is going to pay you if you take the battery out of your car and dump the acid on yourself? I guess stranger things have happened and their liability insurance will probably pay out for some undisclosed amount, and the black eye will stay on the Vaping community and this Vape Shop.
  15. I guess we need to send @TugBoat to check on his neighbor down there. I saw this on the Lubbock news said he wanted $1,000,000.00 for medical bills and missed work. http://dfw.cbslocal.com/2015/03/11/arlington-man-sets-crotch-on-fire-sues-vape-shop-over-exploding-e-cig-battery/ He apparently put a loose battery in his pocket...and it is the vape shop's fault, and the manufacturer. I got a piece of screwdriver in my arm trying to use it as a chisel...can I sue snap-on?
  16. I was kind of vague in my answer. They LOOK extremely dirty after 3 days. It is worse than any I have ever seen. I ran them for a week or so and the flavor became muted and I changed it. (I was running about 50 ml through a coil) I have never had one fail, or get really bad, just less flavor, possibly less than my Nautilus. I don't think that I will ever go back to the stock coils though. The Tiger wire, thick wick combo is so much more flavorful, and spits so much less than the stock coils. I am also running a lower wattage and using much less juice.
  17. It is just my opinion, and there are so many options out there, but I vote for the SubTank Mini and the ipv mini 2. You can run factory coils in both sub-ohm or not, and the RBA lets you build to suit your taste. (This is my daily rig, so I really like it!)
  18. Keep us posted! I am thinking about getting one pretty soon. The better I get at building the SubTank mini, I may just get another one, but the Delta II is tempting!
  19. With my drippers, which I don't user very often, I use 0 - 12 with most between 6 and 9. My dual coil setups are usually around .5 ohms and 50 watts.
  20. I would think it would be pretty light being aluminum, and mostly hollow, but who knows? I am like you, I don't like a mod that is too heavy. I think it is a bit pricey myself, but I am learning that quality is worth the added expense. When I bought my Vapor Shark (DNA30) it was on sale. It originally was $99 and I got it on sale for $49. It is not what I would call a "High End" mod, but the build quality, and fit and finish is second to none. (at least of the electronic mods in my collection) I am really liking the DNA chip. Super simple and accurate. They have been building mechanical micro-stick for a while. I have even thought about getting the mini-stick and putting a kick module in it to make it regulated.
  21. I have had this trouble too. I noticed on mine, I was getting one to two weeks out of a Nautilus coil, but only 3 days on the SubTank Mini. I was not loosing much flavor though. It still tasted fine. They look terrible though. I think being able to see the coil and the coil is so large, it looks much worse than it is. I also noticed that if I used cheap juice in it (or cheaply made juice) it was much worse. I now get all of my juice from Fadora Vapor and it has worked great. I am also running a 70vg 30pg and this seems to help. Closing the airflow down a bit seemed to help the flavor too. To eliminate the problem, I have just gone straight to the RBA. I use some tiger wire and Japanese cotton. I am running a 2.5mm coil that is 1.5 ohms at 15 watts and it is perfect. I have learned that the SubTank Mini's RBA like a wick that is very tight in the coil, but only touching the build deck. It makes it very hard to build with this small tiger wire. I am using nearly 6mm of cotton in a 2.5mm coil. It sounds like it wouldn't work, but i can't seem to choke this coil, and the more I add the better it gets! Your E-LVT shouldn't be causing a problem. The only time a device (APV) will really change the way you vape is if it can't be regulated low enough, or if the PWM is a low frequency and it causes rattlesnaking effect.
