Happy Easter!

I bet I have built close to 100 builds on the SubTank Mini RDA. I can tell you from experience that te best wicking possible you want it so tight you think it is going to screw up your coil. In fact sometimes it does and I have to do a lot of adjusting after it is wicked. Another tip is to trim your tails so that they just barely touch the deck. You want them to fan out but not to cover the holes. Here is a picture I took from one of the other forums (not my picture). The general concensus over there is the best coil size is in the 2.5mm range and to stuff as much as 6mm wide of Japenese cotton only removing one of the covering layers from one side. I have gone back to using rayon and may post a picture tonight if I get a chance to rebuild. By the way, I run 1.5 ohms and 70pg/30vg juice @ 20 watts on the middle air holes. I do not take extremely long draws, but not short either.

I like it! Great job. I wish I could build one! -
LOL. I may have somthing screwed up, or one of the add ons may have broke it. I messed with the settings in the about:config and it is checking my spelling everywhere else on the site, except inside this editor, (even the single line text boxes) I may do a clean install. I let the sync function restore everything when I reinstalled the other day. Who knows?

I am not sure what has changed but my spell check no longer works on this site in Firefox 37. I have tried it in safe mode just in case somthing is interfering with it. No luck. I have also checked on many other pages around the web and it seems to work fine. In fact, it works on everything except posting/reply to topics (on this board only) I really need my spell check. Most of y'all know I am not too smart, but my poor spelling makes it even worse!

I wish I had the money for 2 of those dash cams. I could post some amazing videos. Even though I am not on the road as much as normall lately, I will still drive over 1000 miles this week (400+ mile trip planned for Friday) and get to see more stupidity than you can image! I will have to admit that I am not perfect, but even on my worse day I feel that I am better than most! -
Congradulations! I hope to be in the 1 year plus club soon!

New box mod and tanks, questions!
jasonculp replied to Glocknug's topic in General Vaping Discussion
The mini does seem to pop a bit more than many tanks. I like the Frutti Tutti at 15 watts with the 1.2 ohm coil. I really couldn't tell much difference with the .5 coil at 15 watts. I am currently running 20 watts with the RBA and a .9 - 1.0 ohm coil made out of tiger wire. One thing you can do is run a 70pg/30vg juice and you may have to cut your nicotine a bit. When I first got mine I cut my juice 50/50 with a bit of VG and it really helped. Another thing is if the airflow on the smallest setting is too high use the large slot and turn it until it is nearly closed. I also use a slightly longer drip tip. -

I know. It sounds terrible! They were better than any can you can buy, but not as good as my wife's fresh ones. I guess that is the cool thing about a farming community. Everyone used to "put up" food and keep it in the cellar, as unpredictiable as our area is you could miss a crop and it would get you by until next year. There is a family that I got to know from previous employment. They raise, can, freeze, hunt, and butcher everything they eat. I really respect them. They said it started as a way to save money, but it turned into a lifestyle. I am blessed to live in an area where many fresh vegitables are easily obtained in the summer they taste so much better than the imported stuff we get in the grocery store (off season). My wife freezes blackeyed peas, sweet corn, ocra, and squash every year. We have never got into canning, but have made many jams and jellies. We don't do much meat because I had a freezer go out with a half of beef in it a few years ago. I was a huge financial blow and turned me off to it...it was good while it lasted! -
Great!

I've been thinking about building a little stealth rig. I have thought about a 18500 mechanical with a kick module and tank in one small box. I have even thought about a small ego and tank with this: https://www.fasttech.com/products/0/10007503/1777201-2-post-display-stand-holder-w-510-drip-tip-adapter

It is a great tank! I PIF my last two a while back and I am down to 1 full size now. Here is GeorgeF's post about the new coils: It is easy to tell them apart if you have 2 to compare, but if you don't it might be difficult. I am guessing the new tanks have the cotton warning like the coils, but I don't know for sure.

Welcome Trey921! I have tried a few clapton coils, and they are good. I made a 24 wrapped with 32. I have since moved to tiger wire, which is a round wire wrapped with flat kanthal. I have not tried to make my own tiger wire yet, I buy it from one of the friends of the fourum, Comp at Fadora Vapor . If you get a chance try it out! I can't really run that low as I don't use the RDA much any more. I am running a .9 ohm tiger coil in my Sub Tank Mini: This is not the one I am running now, it is close though.

The new Nautilus coils wick very well for me. The older ones could not keep up great with the 70/30 (for me). If I slowed down and didn't chain vape they did ok. Most coils wick too well for me and seem to flood, that is one reason Comp moved me from 50/50 to 70/30 and it has really helped.

Me too. Except if the bottom ones hurt...then I am SOL

I always liked Blind Melon. Properly canning food is a lost art. My wife has done a bit, but my daughter does not care to learn. We bought a house years back with a cellar. It was full of canned goods. I called the original owners' kids and they said throw all of it out. The stuff was probably 20+ years old. We remodeled the house, sold it, moved, moved back to the same town 3 years later. That year we were eating Thanksgiving at my mom's and she had the most amazing green beans. I commented about them and mom said they were out of that house... at the minimum it was 23 years old... I couldn't believe she cooked them. They were great though! -
Yes. I prefer a 1.2 to 1.8 ohm coil and I use 70vg juice. The only time you run into problems is some factory coils have a hard time wicking the thicker juices. I have never had any problems though. Sorry this had already been answered. My phone is about an hour behind...

I really like the SubTank Mini. It will be a bit large on the i23, but it is a very versatile tank. You can run the 1.2 ohm coils if you don't want to subohm and the .5 if you do. You also get the RBA section. I wish the RBA would work on the Sub Tank Nano. I really think it is a better size for the i23, iStick, Cloupor Mini and VaporShark DNA30. I am getting some of the best flavors I have ever had from the RBA with coil made of Tiger Wire from Fadora Vapor, I think another thing that makes it so versatile is the airflow can be cut down really low, or really open. I run it in the middle.

I did like you and jumped to a big tank for my first one. I got the Billow. It has a lot of great features and it was great to build on, but a sub ohm dual coil tank was just way more than I needed. It was like dripping all day. I know some people are good with that, but it is just too much for me. It made my ADV taste harsh, and overpowering. I finally gave it to someone I hoped would enjoy it. I really never planned on using the RBA on my SubTank Mini, but I finally did and I am hooked. I think even the subohm, single coils in these things work great. I really would like to keep it in the 1 - 1.5 ohm range, as it seems to be the best place for my juice. I think my next tanks will be another Subtank mini, a Lemo drop 2, then a Delta 2. I am not dead set on that order, but it is my plan as of tonight.

I run the Frutti Tutti through my tanks. Currently the SubTank mini with the RBA section. (it is pretty good stuff to me. I looked a minute ago and I have been through 120ml of Fruit Mash and close to 300ml of Frutti Tutti since I started using it. I tend to just use coffee, and some weird flavor called Easter Island, that no one can tell me what it tastes like in my RDAs.

The iStick 50 should not drop off much, if any. Most electronic mods will continue to put out the volts/watts you have it set to until the battery can no longer supply it safely and at that point it will shut off. The 4400mah of the iStick with a protank, or the nano with the 1.2 ohm coil running between 10 - 20 watts should run a long time (possibly days). If you are using the .5 coil and running at 30 watts or so, it will run down much quicker, but it still should run all day. (I am guessing)
-
I am also really enjoying my Sub Tank MIni. I am running a .9ohm coil with Tiger Wire and it is great. I am running it on the middle airflow at 20 watts. It has great flavor. It can be a bit hot though. The 1.5 ohm @ 15 watts on the small hole was a bit cooler, and had a bit better flavor, but I am liking in at 20 watts a bit better (hotter with more vapor) I am running a 70vg/30pg 24 mg fruit flavor in it.
-
I have to give Compenstine @ FadoraVapor a shout here too. I have gone through 2 or 3 120ml of the Frutti Tutti. It is my all day vape right now. I have never had a juice that tastes quite like it. It tastes like a different fruit each time you vape it, and the weird thing is you can never really put your finger on exactly what flavor is coming through.

I really like the look of that! I hope someone reviews it soon.
