  1. I will try that. I have one getting close now.
  2. I am a rebel... I run them until it quits in my ipv mini 2, well until it gets to where it cuts off while trying to fire @ 30 watts. I may be ruining my batteries, but they all work as good as new.
  3. I totally understand this. I type and type, erase, post and think that looks and sounds good. The I go back (after the time where I can edit it) and say dangit, I wish I would have said that different! I knew you knew it, because we have both been using the technique for a bit, I just didn't want the OP to read it and under wick...lol
  4. I totally agree! This is the method I use also. Your description is half right, Less is more, and More is more. One of the things that makes it work so good is the the oversize part you are stuffing through the coil. I don't understand the physics of it, but it makes a big difference. I stuff nearly 8-10mm of cotton into a 3mm coil before I thin out the tails. It can tear a coil up if you are not careful. It also helps greatly if you can trim the ends as close to perpendicular with the deck as possible.
  5. I am going to have to work on this with the LEMO. It was working great with the SubTank Mini, but not so well in the Lemo. I guess practice makes perfect. I have since swiched back to the SubTank mini with factory coils running the 1.2 ohm at 30 watts and it has been working great.
  6. I have had the Freakshow mini in my cart and removed it so many times I can't count. I don't really need it, I just like the way it is set up. I have never used one either.
  7. Great link! If this was in a different mod (somthing that looked more like a Cloupor Mini, ipv mini, etc) I would have jumped on it. I am not a fan of the looks, it is just too "transformer" for me. I really like the technology. I want to try it so bad. The DNA chips look great, but dang they are so expensive. I have heard very little about YiHi's temp control, but I really have not looked for it.
  8. LOL! I don't mind pink. Back when I was smoking everyone at work bummed lighters all the time. I treated smoking like I do vaping so I always had an extra bic or 2 in my pocket. I found a great deal on 5+1 packs in pink only at Wally World. I bought 5 of them and would give them to coworkers when they bummed one. It really didn't help, just a bunch of guys with pink lighters...lol
  9. I think you are doing great! I really don't have the guts to do a video review. I will type one and take pictures, but that is it!
  10. I am wanting one so bad. I just can't justify it right now. I am sitting here with 4 electronic mods switching out between them and few more on the shelf not used. My list is gettin so long, and if I would skip the less expensive ones, I could get it!
  11. I don't think you will go wrong. Earthling has a few Cloupor Minis and I also have a couple. They are great mods. I would also recomend if it hasn't been suggested pick up a few Samsung INR18650-25R batteries and a Nitecore charger from a reputable dealer.
  12. 15 years! Cool! Congrats. I am the same way. I have smallish wrists and never liked how they look on me. I also wore them on the wrong hand and everyone thought I was a lefty. I am also very hard on them. I have thought about gettin a nice one to wear for work (now that I have to dress up for work), but like Jeffb said, all the more high end stuff is outrageous! I want a Breitling so bad!
  13. I think if money was no object, these are the ones I would get, and in this order: SX mini M class: http://www.yihisxmini.com/ XvoStick: http://mini-ecig.com/all/XvoStick Vapor Shark rDNA: http://www.vaporshark.com/advanced/mechs-mods/rdna-40w Of course these are just the mods that are on my, "If I win the lottery, which I don't play" list... Thank God nobody has a Layaway plan for electronic box mods....I would be even more broke than I am now.
  14. I use this method too on most tanks. The lemo 2 has a top fill and you can drain it from there, it is messy and slow. TBH I am so lazy, I would probably vaped a flavorless tank and then rewicked...lol
  15. The Tiger Wire is kinda difficult to work with, but totally worth it. I torch mine after I coil them. Then put them back on the screw driver and tighten, squeeze, and repeat a few times. Then when you put it on and dryburn it...it tries to uncoil. (It is the different wires doing different things when heated). I then do the 5 click turn off. Put the screwdriver back in adjust, turn it back on...repeat a few times. (make sure to shut off your mod when you put the screwdriver through the coil...don't ask) Then wick. If my coil is about 2.5 mm, I cut close to 5 mm of cotton and twist it though. It isn't easy without messing up the coil. I use a pick to adjust the coils that get a little out of whack. I then use dragongunner's method to thin the tails with a needle/pick and trim so it is just touching the deck. I know this sounds like a lot of trouble, but it is so worth it. I vaped it for a week with no leaks, no dry hits, and excelent flavor. At the end of the week I cut the cotton, pull it out and dry burn, rewick and I am ready to go another week.
  16. I have found the same. I used the .5's for a while and switched to the 1.2's and they worked great. @Earthling789 is correct about cutting the airflow a bit. It really seems to help with dry hits. I am weird, I think i could flood a tank with 100% VG. If you want a great vaping experience IMO, use the RTA, get some Tiger Wire from Comp, wrap a 1.0 - 1.5 ohm 2.5mm coil wick it thick through the coil and thin/trim your tails so they just touch the deck (make sure you can see light through the juice channels) run it at 20 - 25 watts with 70pg juice...it is great! I am enjoying the LEMO 2 a bit more, but it is set up for a lower ohm, higher power, higher airflow(higher than I ran my Mini) vape.
  17. I guess I need to build a bunch of different coils this weekend and see what comes out of it. On the SubTank Mini, it lends itself well to use smaller wire as the coil is suspended between the posts. The Lemo needs larger wire as it holds the coil up away from the deck. I like building with the larger wire, because it is just easier to me, but it is causing me to go much lower ohm than I really like.
  18. I have been thinking about the numbers when I rebuild coils. I am hoping that someone can clear this up for me: If I build 2 coils, and run them in the same tank, on the same mod, but with different ohm values, which is better? By better, I am asking vapor producion, flavor, and economy. 1.5 ohm coil, 30 watts is 6.7 volts and 4.7 amps. .5 ohm coil, 30 watts is 3.9 volts and 7.7 amps. Both are totally different coils, but at the same wattage. Which is better? If the wire is the same, say 26 gauge and diameter is 2.5 mm: 1.5 would take 12 wraps .5 would take 4 wraps I know this isn't really practical, but wouldn't they vape totally different at the same wattage? I am sure the lack of sleep and total brain drain I have had for the last few weeks is making this too confusing, and somthing I shouldn't even worry about. A good example of this is the SubTank Mini. If you run the .5 coil at 30 watts and the 1.2 coil at 30 watts does it really make much of a difference?
  19. I have seen people talking about the MXJO batteries. They do look interesting. I have been impressed with the Samsung's perfomance over my VTC4's I don't use mechs much any more so a good 20 amp plus battery works great for me. The added mah has really helped. I am running a .7 ohm coil at 30 watts in the Lemo and it is lasting all day and then some. I have 6 in rotation and swap every night, and charge on the weekends. Works great. I run my VTC4's in my mods at home (sigelei mini 30W and the ipv3)
