I have done the same thing. I am really enjoying the TC even for my RDA's. In fact the TC mods (if powerful enough) are ideal for drippers. If you start needing juice it backs off of the power.

When I first started, I had the same problem. It took a while to get over the "tickle" that it caused in my throat. I was using the small iClear16's and an ego battery and it felt harsh to my throat. I found some better juice at a local shop and some better equipment (Kangar Protank 2 mini). I also got some advice which was to drink more water which really seemed to help my coughing. After a few days I was adjusted and coughing stopped.

I bought my first 2 Samsungs from Amazon. The next 2 and 2 35A Efests from a online Vape store. The last 4 Samsungs were from Illum. The 2 I got from the Vape store do not look like the others (rewrap?) and one of the Efests has already died. I probably will not buy from them again. I have had great luck with all of the other batteries I have bought. My original Sony VTC 4's from the Vapor Talk store, and Fadora Vapor are still going strong nearly a year later. I keep them and the EFest for my Mechanicals. If you take care of these batteries, they will last a long time! I am going to check this out. We are heading to Lubbock in a bit, to a Grandson's birthday party and there is a Wallgreens right down the street.

The vendor I linked to is relatively unknown to me. I have only ordered from them a couple of times. Both orders were quick, and as ordered. I just knew that would be the quickest place to find both.

I would personally put it pretty high on my list. It isn't a total necessity, but it is very convenient. I rotate 8 batteries in my electronic mods. This not only spreads the load out between many batteries, but it is another form of backups. It is also nice when one runs down, to just pop in another and keep vaping. The chargers are much more sophisticated and safer than the onboard one. Here is the charger I recommend: Nitecore i4 Intellicharger Here are some good batteries that are not too expensive: 18650 Samsung INR18650-25R or 18650 LG 18650HE2 Dang, I am a bit slow today Earthling!

I am still running the old RBA and I run everything from 50/50 to 80/20 in it and never have a problem. The juice I have in it now is 50/50 cut in half with VG...so I guess 75/25? I can chain vape it and never get a weak or dry hit (i am running on a temp control mod).

I am really getting where I like high airflow. The SubTank Mini, the SauceCode and the OBS have great airflow. They make my Lemo 2 seem restrictive. This dang Velocity with all of the air holes open (2 oval ones below the coils and 6 round ones even with the coil) has nearly no restriction at all. It makes the vape extremely cool. I have only ran it at 40 watts and 600 degrees. (I doubt it ever gets over 500 though) It puts out bigger clouds than any thing else I have tried. I guess I am going to have to recoil with Kanthal and put it on my ipv3 so I can throw some power at it. I am like you though, I have got to the point I really like an open draw, but this thing is ridiculous. It was a good buy for a clone.

I am with you on that. I bought an iStick 40 and forgot how big of a PITA an internal battery is. I carry 4 spare batteries, and the iStick so I am pretty well covered. I am not sure how well I like these new RDA's. I have 2 of them that have the big holes like the subtank. It is great as long as the juice level is above them. I would like to see larger channels and possibly the holes near the bottom. The new style covers a lot of wicking mistakes though, as long as the holes are covered, you are good. With the old style wicking can be tricky.

I just watched Phil's video on it and the RBA looks pretty cool. I might have to pick one of these up. -

Just knowing that you bought a tank with an RBA is enough help! I am seriously looking at it. I probably won't buy another tank without an RBA. I prefer building my own coils. Not to mention I can buy a gob of wire and cotton for the price of a pack of coils. -
I'm in!

I have really been looking at the Triton. I am just afraid of the the RBA section. I am having a heck of a time building coils small enough to fit in these things (using Ni200) I prefer the flavor I am getting from nickel, but miss the ease of Kantal The twisted Kanthal/Ni200 is working, but wish someone would make a high airflow single coil RTA with a big build deck. -
Great review Tug! Is it worth going to the new one? I've bought 3 tanks since I got my original SubTank mini. I keep going back to the Mini. I personally think the SauceCode is a better tank, but I am getting better flavor out of the Subtank. This could be the difference in the builds on them. I am not using factory coils, only RBAs.

3 years! That is amazing! Congratulations!

Bump Everytime You Buy Something New

I really would like to live on a budget, but it just is not possible with out near-physical violence (j/k) at our house. We have been blessed, and are really lucky that no matter what has been thrown at us we have always got by. We never have any left over, but we always make it. I was really hoping when I got my age, I would be more responsible, it just hasn't worked that way. We have tried so many times to stick to a budget to get out of debt, but I think short of going to a totally cash based system it will never work. (for us) Neither one of us are willing to accept that much pain right now. Of course it is my wifes fault....j/k -

I have never let mine get reloaded...I keep buying even though I don't have the money in the budget category. My bosses little brother is going through Dave Ramsey classes. He was asking me about budgeting software and I recommended YNAB. I told him I use it myself. He asked how I was doing with it and told him I have been using it for 2 years and have never gone over budget. He said that was amazing. Then I had to tell him the truth. I fund my budget categories the last day of the month ( or as we spend it). I put just as much as we spent in each category. I like to call it budgeting after the fact. You don't save any money, but you never go over budget! -
I am having the same trouble with the RDA's. Temp is working great with my tanks, they are all single coil running at 420 degrees and from 20 - 40 watts. I have only built one RDA yet. It is my Velocity, so I am using a new RDA, with temp control, which is new experience. I have it running at .9 ohms and it is not even warm at 40 watts and 500 degrees. I finally closed off most of the air and it is better, good cloud and good flavor, but no heat at all. This thing has a drip tip you can fit your fist into so I may have to put the adapter and a standard drip tip on it. I just have not had a lot of time to work with it. I posted a pic in the Coil thread.

Airway Test Reveals E-cigarette Vapor Produces Similar Result as Air

That is an uplifting article. I wish there were more out there like it. I just hope it doesn't get buried. -
That is pretty standard. Mine does that. It doesn't seem to do it that long, but it does do it. I am really not sure if subohming is the problem, but it does come with a few more challenges. I think the Atlantis and the .5 ohm will work fine, many people like it. I think a mod with more control, not necessarily bigger would help. You could start at 20 watts or so and work up. 35+ like you have with the fresh battery could be part of your problem. It is still really confusing me why it worked and now it doesn't.

Welcome to Vapor Talk! This is one of the side effects that can happen with vaping! I think the hobby aspect has kept me from smoking just about as much as the vaping itself!
-
It was actually one I was going to PIF. I still have a few .15 nickel coils for backups. I really hope this tank works for you! It is definitely my favorite up to this point.
-
I am sorry for your losses. That has to be tough to loose them both so close together. Don't beat yourself up too much. I have over a year under my belt, but if I had to deal with that type of situation, I would probably do the same. The great thing about the wagon is that you can always get back on. Hang around, there is plenty of support here!

I understand what you are saying. I really enjoy the Hobby. To date my favorite tank is the SubTank mini, but like everything in vaping it is subjective. I switch between it and the SauceCode. I am doing straight lung hits so lots of air, and lots of juice. The result is quite a bit of cloud, but it isn't the objective.
-
Well for the price, they are so hard to beat. I am really liking my new one, it is just a bit underpowered. I am doing pretty big lung hits and to me it seems a bit anemic. Which is strange, I am only using 30 watts on my Zero Mod. I may pick up a few more when they get in the sub $30 range (if they do) they will be great backups, and PIF mods. Have you tried the 1.5 coil yet? Don't forget to wet it before you install it...I ruined my last one the other night...
